Top 10 Bridesmaid Gift Ideas
You've finally chosen your bridesmaids. They are a collection of your best friends and closest family. Now it's time to think of how to honor them and thank them for being a part of your wedding and for offering their support during this important time in your life. Here are my Top 10 Favorite Bridesmaid Gift Ideas.
1. Personalized Compact Mirror
Every woman needs a mirror that will fit in her purse and is easy to carry. Why not give your bridesmaids a small round mirror that comes in a personalized leather case? They will be able to carry it around forever and always think of you when they take it out. I found this one at American Bridal for $19.95.
2. A set of Jewelry to Wear in the Wedding
Jewelry is a great gift for any woman, and giving her something to wear at the wedding is a great Bridesmaid gift idea. That way, all of your Bridesmaids are wearing the same jewelry or jewelry that you picked out for them. Also, this is something they will be able to wear with other dresses and outfits for years to come, so it is also a practical gift. I found this set at Silverland Jewelry for $49.99, but if you spend some time looking around you can find Bridesmaid jewelry at any price to fit your budget. My best friend gave me a set of beaded jewelry that she had a local woman make by hand especially for me. That was a very thoughtful and cherished gift.
3. Personalized Cosmetic Bag
I am a sucker for anything that has my initials or my name on it, so I love personalized Bridesmaid gifts like this Dupioni silk cosmetics bag. The great thing about choosing a cosmetic bag is that you can find them in just about any color and style. (and price!) You can also stuff it with lipstick and other goodies for the wedding that match the colors they will be wearing at the wedding! The one pictured here is from American Bridal and costs $25.95. If you want to cut costs, find a cute cosmetics bag that doesn't have to be monogramed.
4. A Framed Picture
A framed picture of the two of you together, or of the whole wedding party or just the girls is a wonderful and personal Bridesmaid gift. You can look for a Bridesmaid specific frame like this one from Go Wedding Gifts for $28.95, or you can find a different frame for each Bridesmaid that reflects some moment together or her hobbies. The good thing about this gift is that you can really personalize it by finding the perfect photo inside.
5. Bridesmaid's Survival Kit
I think this is one of the cutest gifts around these days! It only costs $18.00 and comes with almost everything that your Bridesmaids might need at the last minute as they are getting ready. The kit comes in a zippered pouch along with a key chain and a tag that has a special thank you from the Bride. Inside, it has a folding hair brusth, hair spray, bobby pins, clear nail polish, breath freshener, and more! If your Bridesmaids have travelled to be at the wedding, they probably forgot something they needed, and chances are, it will be in this kit!
6. Gift Cards or Gift Certificates
Running out of time to order something special? Do you have a group of Bridesmaids who are so different you just can't come up with one great gift for everyone? Think about giving gift cards to someplace that everyone shops, like Target or a clothing store. Find a cute gift box or card to put them in, and every Bridesmaid will appreciate this gift in her own way. This is also a good way to control your budget and put a set price on your gifts. If you want to do something different than just a local shop, think about gift certificates to a local nail salon for manicures before the wedding!
7. Bridesmaid Tank Tops
I adore these tank tops from classybride.com! They cost $24.00 and come in either black, white, light pink or hot pink. You can find tanks like this in a lot of different places online, but the idea is a great one. It is always cute to have something that you can all wear to the Bachelorette party or to the brunch the day after the wedding. Plus this will create a great photo opportunity that you willl cherish forever. You can find plain tank tops or shirts with all kinds of adornments and writing, but I like these that have the floral accent and the crystals spelling out Bridesmaid, Bride or Maid of Honor.
8. Personalized Beach Towel
Who doesn't need a new beach towel? All girls love personalized beach towels, and this is an especially appropriate gift for beach weddings or summer weddings where most girls will be staying in a nearby hotel with a pool! These towels from Gracious Bridal are $28.00 and come in all of the bright colors you see here, and the personalization is free. Make sure you allow plenty of time to get these ordered and shipped!
9. Personalized Bucket
If you have a lot of little things that you wanted to give to your Bridesmaids, think about ordering a personalized bucket and then filling it with all those other smaller gifts. It would also be a nice touch to have this bucket waiting in their rooms when they arrive from out of town. Fill it with water bottles and candy to make them feel welcome and refreshed! At Gracious Bridal, you can choose between 10 styles of buckets and get them personalized with full names or monograms fro $28.00 each.
10. Personalized Canvas Tote Bag
Back to the personalized gifts again! A canvas tote bag is a great gift for any member of your wedding party. There are so many styles and colors to choose from, and many places will monogram them for free. At wherebridesgo.com, they sell for $38.25 each. This is definitely a gift that your bridesmaids will use until it is completely worn out! It makes a great day back for hikes or other outings, and a nice beach bag or even diaper bag for any bridesmaids that have little ones. If you have a large budget for your gifts, think about putting a personalized towel inside for a great beach gift!
