World's Easiest Fudge - Cooking From Scratch
I just spent all of five minutes making the easiest fudge recipe I have ever seen. Actually, my 7 year old daughter did most of the work, if that tells you how easy it is. I have been making it for years and it always gets rave reviews. It only requires four ingredients, and actually you could get by with only two. I have made it both ways and it has always turned out well.
1 12 oz bag of chocolate chips - I use semi-sweet, although milk chocolate would work too.
1 container of chocolate icing
1 teaspoon of vanilla
2 teaspoons of butter
The butter and vanilla are optional really. Melt all of this together over medium heat in a non-stick pan, stirring constantly. Once it is melted pour it into a 9x13 pan that is lined with wax paper. Spread it around evenly and then refrigerate immediately for 1-2 hours.
When you are ready to cut the fudge into pieces simply lift out the wax paper and place the whole thing on the counter or table. I used a rolling pizza cutter to quickly cut the fudge into pieces and placed them on a plate. This also took about 5 minutes. For 10 minutes of hands on time, and either 2 or 4 ingredients, you will have a delicious, quick and easy dessert to take to any holiday gathering.
