This depends on the number of guests you expect to have, You do not want it to be too crowded. Go to the yellow pages of your phone book and search for rooms or halls that can be rented. Check out hotels with large rooms. I have done receptions even in the VFW Halls. Outdoor receptions are nice, but you have to always have an alternate place should the weather not co-operate. If you have a wedding director that is a professional, then he or she will know of places. You can also use the church reception halls if your wedding is to be in the church, but most of them will not allow drinking, smoking or dancing in them, Be sure you check this out if you use them. If you live near the coast, a lot of places have yachts that can be rented for special events.
