The picture associated with my name is a rather intense picture of a rope taken by my friend Genie. If you see the picture enlarged it brings to mind so many of my own feelings as well as those of many of my friends - and most of us are in your "sandwich generation". Think about words and phrases like "pulled", "stretched", "balancing", "frayed but strong", etc. That the rope is obviously older but still holding implies that it has done it's job well for a long time, is still useful and has a lot of life left to give. That it can be removed and be useful elsewhere implies that our lives can change courses but still be worthwhile in another setting. The list goes on and on. This was just one of those pictures that I had an immediate conceptual affinity with. I'm sure you'll come up with a lot of your own. The picture then, becomes a graphic description of who I see myself as today thus "The Rope". You are kind to ask. I'm impressed with your web info and will continue to follow you throughout.
