I would definitely have to say that the #1 thing that I did RIGHT was taking my time. Too many people rush into something without understanding the feat they are undertaking, and as a result they get ahead of themselves and set everything up for failure. As a matter of fact, I am still putting my company together, and will be for the next several years!
I have a plan, actually it's more of a timeline. Over the next 5-7 years I intend on establishing my company while working on my Bachelor's Degree. Once I have my degree I will have my current company running smooth enough to where I can have someone else take over so that I can focus on another company I have in mind, but I will still own this one.
You have to have a plan! Know what you want to do and when you want to have it done. It is hard sometimes. I work a "9-5" and run this business as well, so I am usually working from the time I wake up to the time I go to bed, but that is what it takes!
