Given that technology is generally out of date every 90 days, whatever we thought was the best last month will be 'past-it' by Christmas!
Having said that, however, I am still very much in love with my iPhone - not just because it is well designed but because it really does provide me with all the access and connectivity that I could hope for. I find that I spend less and less time taking my laptop with me as I can do most things with the phone - that is very liberating...
With the growth of 'cloud computing' small handheld devices like the iPhone will become the norm as the need to have large amounts of data on your device will decline. The only limitation to this is connectivity and the ridiculous approach taken to wireless accessibility (but that is another hub...)
The newest gadget that I would most like to get next is the mobile phone with built in data projector so instead of having to use the screen you can throw it up on the wall, your friends etc... There is also a handsized projector for iPhones that is almost available that I will be looking at very closely as soon as I can.
Ask me again in a few weeks and there will be something else to talk about....!
