Goodbye Bad Hair Days!: Ultimate Tips For Instantly Manageable Hair

Hello Good Hair Days

We’ve all had one of those days-one of those bad hair days I mean! You wake up just like any other morning but for some reason your hair is on end! Those days where your on schedule but all the sudden your hair just will not stay flat! Days when you walk around looking as if you ran full speed and your hair got stuck backwards from the force. Luckily, I’m about to share with you hair hints that I do for in the shower, right after showering, drying, straightening and the products I have stuck with. So give these great tips a try to see how great they work out for you. You should be able to notice smoother hair with less fly-aways and more shine.

Hint #1: For those of you (like me) that prefer to keep their hair up, I highly suggest you use hair ties without the little metal piece. When you take your hair down, the metal attaches to some strands, resulting in split ends! >:o

Hint #2: Avoid bleaching your hair!!! Its one of the worst things you could do. Bleaching is basically taking your strands, erasing the natural color while drying it worse than the sun on the desert. At least get it done professionally. While still damaging to your hair, it will be applied more evenly without putting to much or too little in various spots.

Hint #3: When washing your hair, leave the conditioner in for about a minute instead of immediately rinsing it out. This allows it to penetrate longer and restore your hair a little more.

Hint #4: One of my favorites! When you apply your shampoo, brush it through your hair with a comb and then repeat when you use your conditioner. This helps get your shampoo and conditioner to every strand while brushing hair straight and reducing frizz. But don’t use your everyday brush! I bought a good shower comb from Scunci. It’s made with Microban which keeps bacteria buildup from occurring on the comb. It also has rounded tips so it doesn’t hurt your scalp.

Hint #5: A llittle bit of leave-in cream conditioner and hair serum on your damp hair after the shower keeps your hair soft and frizz-free. Just a dime size amount will do. Spread it around in your hands and apply evenly from about 2 1/2 inches from scalp to the ends of hair, paying special attention to the tips. Remember that a little goes a long way! Too much will cause your hair to look greasy and by the time it dries it will look like you never washed it! My favorite serum and leave-in conditioners are from Garnier.

Hint #6: Do not use a hair dryer! Hair dryers=frizzy puffs! Personally, I never use a blow dryer. I simply use hair serum after the shower and let it dry on its own and my hair isn’t damaged from the heat abuse. Heat is one of the most damaging things to hair. If time doesn’t allow you to air dry your hair naturally, then use only the cold setting on your hair. If your still not wanting to, at least finish up your last few minutes blow drying with the cold setting as this helps your strands settle back down instead of standing on end all day.

Hint #7: If you love having very straight hair (like me) then you most likely use a flat iron. Go for a flat iron with teflon plates as it reduces hair damage. To protect your hair even more from the heat, apply mousse evenly through your hair before straightening. I use Suave’s Volumizing Foam (Extra Control).A great secret for straightening your hair is to straighten little sections at a time and slowly pull STRAIGHT down, being sure to keep the iron going straight off the ends & not towards or away from you.

Hint #8: Goodbye ordinary hair spray! I use Bumble and Bumble’s: Bb. Spray de mode Hairspray (laque). Its half working spray and half finishing spray that can be used with or without heat. It lasts great all day and is strong and flexible. It isn't crispy like the rest and it never leaves residue.
