Free Membership Clubs with Great Benefits

What’s so great about a membership club if the only benefit is a free cone on your birthday or there’s an annual fee that you’ll have to recoup in ‘benefits’? Check out these truly free membership clubs with benefits that are actually beneficial.

Redbox: Every first Monday in the month get a free movie rental promo code via text – hopefully they will extend these to games. You can now find a Redbox kiosk outside almost any convenience, pharmacy, and department store. Simply sign up at their website.

Tropical Smoothie: Receive random promo codes via text for free or discounted smoothies and sandwiches. All you need to do is sign up at their website or receive the text code from your local Tropical Smoothie.

Bealls Outlet: Bealls Outlet, not to be confused with the Bealls Florida department store, has a Bealls Outlet One Card. The One Card allows you to get 15% off your total purchase (including clearance items) on certain days during the week (for my area it is every Friday), and after spending so much you get store credit. All you have to do is complete a short application in the store and you’re issued a card for scanning with each of your purchases.

CVS Pharmacy: Take care of yourself and your wallet with the ExtraCare card offered by CVS Pharmacy. Emails for exclusive member specials are sent out and after spending so much you get store credit. Simply complete a short application in the store and you’re issued a card for scanning with each of your purchases.

T.G.I. Friday’s: Eat and be merry with the Give Me More Stripes card offered by T.G.I. Friday’s. Emails for exclusive member specials for free and discounted foods and after spending so much you get a free food item. You can sign up at their website here and you’ll receive your card for scanning with each of your purchases in the mail. Another great feature about this rewards program, say you visited the restaurant but forgot to have your card swiped – no problem. You can go to their website, log into your account, and plug in your receipt number to still get your points.

Disney Movie Rewards: Buy a little Disney and get a little Disney back with this rewards program. Whenever you buy a Disney movie (qualifying DVDs, Blu-Rays, or movie tickets), submit the magic code from your purchase and receive points towards Disney merchandise, discounts, and free or discounted tickets to Disney movies, plays, cruises and attractions. Simply sign up at their website here.

Boarders Rewards: Boarders offers two types of Rewards Cards, but of course we are only interested in the free card. The free card still have a lot of great benefit features: emails for exclusive member specials, after spending so much you get store credit and percentage off qualifying purchases, free coffee after your 5th cup, discounts on hardcover bestsellers, and free shipping on online orders over $25. Simply sign up at their website here or provide your email address to the cashier at your local Boarders store.

Harvey’s/Winn-Dixie: Keep your grocery bill low with their store cards. The low advertised prices in their circulars are only available with their store cards or you’ll be stuck paying a high price for your items. Simply complete a short application at the register and you’ll receive a card to swipe for qualified purchases.

Your Local Library: Not an ‘official’ membership club, but a place where you can check out books, movies, and music for free for more than one night is worth mentioning. A great feature of the library, you can reserve new releases before their release date to ensure you get first picks.

Excellent ideas! I didn't know about the Redbox one and I will certainly use the CVS one too. Best of all is the library--I've used that for many years to get a great education for my kids. Also, our library has lots of special deals for kids during the summer--they get coupons for free things and a free book for reading.
