Free Restaurant Rewards on Your Special Day: Birthday Freebies
© 2011 by Aurelio Locsin
Your birthday comes just one day a year, and like most, you may observe it with one special meal or party. But don’t you deserve a far grander celebration for gracing the world with one more year of your presence? If you answer yes, then check out these restaurants who will say Happy Birthday to You for your entire birthday month. They typically require advance sign-up, which is free and can be done on their linked websites. But allow at least a month for them to process your application. Note: many restaurants will give you a free dessert on your birthday, if you simply tell them.
- Baskin and Robbins. Sign-ups award free ice cream. More free ice cream plus a discount on a birthday cake arrives five days before your special day.
- Benihana. Only for those 13 years of age and older, the Chef’s Table awards a $30 birthday certificate good for the entire birthday month. You can use it to pay for your Japanese-inspired meal, excluding alcoholic beverages, taxes and tip.
- Black Angus. The steakhouse offers a free dessert for signing up and a free steak dinner on your first birthday as a member. You need to buy an entrée of equal or lesser value for either deal.
- Country Buffet. See Hometown Buffet below.
- Denny’s. You can start off your birthday right with a free Original Grand Slam Breakfast, which consists of two eggs, two pancakes, two sausages and two slices of bacon.
- Dunkin’ Donuts. Since the Denny’s offer doesn’t include a beverage, you can pick one up at this donut franchise when you sign up and on your birthday. Choices includes any iced or hot coffee, hot chocolate, tea or latte and Coolatta. Cooler beverages are excluded.
- Fire Mountain. See Hometown Buffet below.
- Hometown Buffet. You get a free buffet meal when you sign up for this stuff-your-face place, and receive another one for your birthday. Either one requires the purchase of an adult meal. The coupon also works with Old Country, Country Buffet, Ryan’s and Fire Mountain.
- Lucille’s. This home of barbeque joint gives you a $5 off coupon when you sign up, and a free dessert with any entrée during your birthday month.
- Marie Callender’s. This restaurant and bakery offers a free slice of pie on your birthday plus a $5 off coupon on their meals.
- Old Country. See Hometown Buffet above.
- Ryan’s. See Hometown Buffet above.
- Rubio’s. Sign up for this Mexican Restaurant’s Beach Club and receive a meal worth up to $7 on your birthday.
- TGI Fridays. You get a free appetizer and dessert when you join, plus a Jump the Line Pass that lets you skip the lines at this popular night spot. You’ll also get a complimentary dessert on your birthday month with the purchase of any entrée.
