Getting Fast Cash

Getting fast cash is much easier than you probably think. It can be as easy as taking all of the extra stuff around your house and heading to the pawn shop, or taking out a small, short-term loan. Life comes at us fast, so knowing what your options are ahead of time is a very smart plan to keep your ship afloat.

It's a well known fact that the most expensive emergencies pop up when we have the least money. That's why businesses like pawn shops and payday lenders have remained so successful. Also, keep in mind that you aren't alone. Half of American live from paycheck to paycheck, and if you were to generalize that it would mean that every time a washing machine breaks, fast cash is needed (or debt added to a credit card). Millions of hard working people just like you and I have to turn to things like these each year.

Getting Fast Cash Loans

If you have a minimalist life, but have a job, look into payday loans. These loans are short-term and get you the cash you need fast. You need a job, an ID, and a checking account to qualify (each lender has their own specifics, but these are the basics). The loans are expensive, but that's the price we must pay to get fast cash like that. The average interest rate on a payday loan is $250 per $100 borrowed, which equals out to triple digit APR. If you need money fast, these are the places to get it!

Payday loans are repaid by writing a post-dated check to the lender for the amount owed. The check is then cashed on the date the loan is due and you're now in the clear. Although I don't recommend it, a loan can be extended past its due date by either paying the principal and getting more money, or paying the interest and continuing to make payments. This is a hard trap to get out of, so please think carefully when considering it.

Get Fast Cash By Selling Stuff

The pawn shop is an awesome way to get the money you need right now. They pay cash for just about anything of value (and value is very subjective). The most common things that they buy are jewelry, guns, bicycles, guitars, electronics, and tools. If you have any of these laying around, odds are you can get the money you need today. Don't limit yourself to just these items though, pawn shops will buy many things that may surprise you! Make a map for yourself of all of the pawnshops in your area before you head out, because odds are that one stop won't clear your inventory. Also, having another destination to head to will allow you to be more comfortable walking away from a deal that doesn't seem fair.

Don't limit yourself to just pawn shops. Record stores will buy music, bookstores for books, and used clothing stores are quickly popping up in every city. Sometimes these stores will pay more money than a pawn shop would since that's all they deal with. The best example of this is guitars. Guitar Center will pay much more than a pawn shop would, but they will be much more selective.

Find Jobs That Pay Cash

There are jobs out there that will pay cash.  I'm certainly not telling you to get a job that pays under-the-table, but a quick shot of cash may be just what you need.  The most common types of cash jobs are bartenders, dancers, bouncers, and servers.  If you have a skill that matches one of these positions, you may be able to earn some fast cash rather than borrowing it.

Fast cash is all around you, you just need to figure out how to get it.  The more you know, the more likely you are to be successful getting it when you need it.  Figuring out how to get fast cash is the hard part, but once you see things as opportunities to make money you're going to be much more successful with it.
