Most telemarketing companies require an Internet connection and land line telephone obviously. Job requirements vary, but some companies only hire people with previous experience in cold calling, customer service, sales and so forth. Job duties also vary. Many companies hire telemarketers for appointment setting and even to take inbound calls instead of making outbound calls.
