Insurance Pitfalls
Do you know your insurance coverage?
A friend of mine car broke down and it turned out to be some part inside the engine, which needed about R11000.00 to fix from his pocket. He did not have the money so he called his insurance company only to discover that his insurance company only covers for when his car stolen and burns up not the mechanical part of the car.
Most people assume that they covered for something without asking the consultant questions about the insurance they are taking out. That is many people’s mistakes and assumptions are dangerous the best is to ask do not assume.
Mistakes people make when taking out any kind of insurance.
1.Do not check the coverage of their insurance- check and make sure what you are really covered.
2.Carrying too much or too little coverage- make sure you have the right cover that suits your lifestyle.
3.Does not shop around for insurance quotes- make sure that you check out at least five insurance companies and see which one works for you?
4.Choosing a cheap insurance to save money it is not always the best way to good.
5.Ask for the paper work and read thoroughly before making a decision.
Always take your time when taking out insurance and sure that all your basis are covered and never be afraid to ask questions and remember never be bullied into making a rush decision because you are in charge not them when it come to taking care of your insurance needs.
