How To Build Multiple Income Streams.

Introduction.

Writing online is a great way to start off with multiple income streams. This is because there are unlimited places to make money. If you are intending to make money fast or even faster, then this will not be for you, I am afraid.

Making money slowly is a far more practical option for one reason and one reason only. To make money slowly means that you will build a worthwhile and long term strategy to not only make money online, but to keep it as well.

I am currently on a mission to do just this. It sounds odd , I must admit, to want to make money slowly. There are far too many sites out there promising massive riches for very little work. The downside is that these sites want to fleece you and take your hard earned cash for untested hard to follow, half the information scams. Admittedly not all are scams, but you do not need to part with your money to build a worthwhile business here on the internet. You can do it for free and get help doing it. You just need to know where to look.

Where to look indeed. You have just found the only place you will ever need to make money on the wwweb. Hub Pages is the starting place and in my view the finishing place. You can, however, make money elsewhere on different sites. I will endeavour to show you some of these sites to get you started on your road to Multiple Income Streams ( MIS )

poshcoffeeco Profile Page

By starting at my profile page here on Hub Pages you will see what I mean about multiple income streams. I am using a number of different programs to make small amounts of money on the internet. I do this because I have a theory that having all your eggs in one basket is not always a good thing in any part of our lives.

Have a main stay to start off with, then branch out elsewhere. By clicking on my links you can check out the programs and if you like the look of them you can join. Always know that I can help you when you join up to these programmes. There is a catch, though. There always is. The catch is simply.....if you need help from me you have to ask for it. I will not bug you by e-mail or any other form of communication. I am here if and when you need me.

Again reading my Hub Page profile will tell you all you need to know about me in terms of help and guidance. Enough said on that subject.

Blogging for M.I.S's

Yet another great way, not only to promote your articles once published, but another revenue stream for you to pursue in the form of Adsense. So far in this article I had not mentioned Google Adsense, but it really is essential to you if you go down the M.I.S route. Monetizing your efforts is the only way to go. Get the benefit of all that Google traffic and earn from the clicks and views to your pages. Simple. This really should be a no brainer.

Again, a quick look at my Hub page profile page, will lead you to some of the blogs I write, although I do stress that it is not my immediate priority at the moment. But visiting them will give you an idea of the free blog sites which are available. Some of the blogs I have not updated for quite a while, but they are not going anywhere and when I am ready I will start to add content to them. Ticking over, they do generate a small amount of income.

Promote promote promote.

By using the links above you can promote your programmes to a huge audience and in turn get traffic back to your articles, blogs and other sites.

Don't forget if you would like to join any of the programmes here just go to my Hub Page profile page

http://poshcoffeeco.hubpages.com/

Click on the links, sign up and away you go.

You can start earning as soon as you begin writing articles or reviewing, depending on which site you go for.

I can highly recommend Wikinut, Wizzley for their ease of use and instant earnings.

Slicethepie is very good if you like to review new bands and music. Again, the earnings are instant here and in turn you can watch the earnings mount up as you review each song.

I have written a guide to slicethepie so feel free to check this out below

http://poshcoffeeco.hubpages.com/hub/Making-money-with-Slicethepie

What no catch ?

Of course there is a catch to this money making on the internet game.

The catch is you don't have to do it.

The catch is there is a four letter word involved an it begins with W.

Frustrating though it is, nothing worth having is ever gained quickly or without work.

Consistent daily effort is required to get ahead with Multiple Income Streams. Some may argue that I have only shown you one way to make money and that this is no,t in the true sense, M.I.S's.

The fact is you are using a number of different sites and ways of doing it, so anything you do more than once to me is multiple.

My best advice to you is to start somewhere. Overcoming the inertia is the biggest problem and once this is overcome the momentum will begin to build. As it builds, it and you gather pace and you get to the point, particularly with article writing, that you won't be able to stop it unless you delete all your accounts. Anything which relies on page views for payment will continue to generate royalty payments for as long as you want it to. Just leave the article, or the site, up and running and it will continue to generate income for you.

It's a numbers game.

The more, good quality content you produce the better the chances of your articles being read and in turn the better the chance for you to make money from them. Believe this when I say that you will be in a minority group of people actually making money here on the internet. Most people talk the talk but can never walk the walk. They buy into other people's schemes in the vague hope of making money, but very few actually achieve this. M.I.S's will make money for you. Again I stress you WILL MAKE MONEY, but it will be slow and consistent at first until you put the effort in. Finding your niche is what is required and you will find where you fit in if you search carefully for your own space and audience.

You will be surprised what you get from writing for the internet and you just never know where it will lead. You only have to look around here on Hub Pages to see for yourself.

How can I help you?

Let me know if I can help in any way at all. I want you to be successful. Nobody can do the work for you but there are lot's of people here who will be prepared to help you without fear of you loosing your shirt. You should always be able to get advice that will not cost you a penny.

Good luck and remember what I have told you.

You know where to find me.

Posh, I have signed up for Slicethepie, and then forgot about it. It's actually pretty fun! It is so true that it is a lot of work but the potential is definitely there. Great hub!

Thanks for visiting and commenting.

pp slicethepie income really builds quickly. My advice is to do this in between writing hubs. Have your browser open and multi task between the two. That way you don't concentrate on making money for the sake of it. Enjoy the music.

Hi, I really do need to use other sites even for backlinks, I just love hubpages so much I can never get past the initial sign up! I did sign up for Wizzley, but there it is, still sitting there! great advice though, nell

Your idea of writing on multiple revenue-sharing sites is a good one, especially for newbies. Rev-sharing sites are private businesses, and you never know when one might be sold or go broke, and all your hard-earned backlinks and page rank are lost.

The other benefit of writing across sites is that you can cross-link them, creating your own backlinks!

One point to note is that if you choose sites which don't use sub-domains, you don't need to write a lot of articles, because each post is part of a site that's already substantial. Whereas if you're going to write on HubPages (which is still my favourite!), you need to commit to writing a substantial number of articles, because you have your own sub-domain which is regarded by Google as a separate entity.

Another great informative hub. I don't know if I can multi task like you do on the computer. It's one at a time for me cause my dogs think computer time is time for them to get me out of the chair somehow. That's the kind of multi tasking I do. Ha! Always interested in what you have to say.

Steve, great hub with some good advice. As you know I am on SlicethePie, I made £50 in March which is not to be sniffed at. I joined Wikinut but I don't find its interface as intuitive as HP. My problem is finding the time to write articles, cos I work full time and also I struggle with what to write about - that's where I really need help!

Hi, great article. I am still at the learning stage with all this writing activity (work!). There is so much to read and learn I can't find the time for everything I want to do. I noticed you included Wikinut. I registered there and actually published an article. I did not find its interface very good. I also read the TOU from end to end. I found a paragraph which does not seem to be included in other sites I have researched. About ownership of articles, it states all the usual things, but also adds that they reserve the right to in future publish any collection of our work, under their sole ownership. The way I read it, we would seem to lose control over our material. I was upset about this, and wrote them for clarification. I started out using the "contact" button, really poor layout. Then I changed to a "support" address and sent an email. I have re-sent this email 5 times, over a period of several weeks, and no answer. I have looked for other ways to contact them, but there doesn't seem to be any on the page. I have not published any more articles on Wikinut. The constant stream of emails from them to me, urging me to publish more articles, has stopped dead. What information do you have about this?

Great hub poshcoffeeco. Sorry I kind of went off topic in my earlier comment, I was just shocked at all the copied hubs. But I can see why they wanted to copy yours. Excellent advice, thanks.

Sherry Hewins, I understand whjat you say about the copied hubs. it really is annoying. Thanks for the great comments, I appreciate you taking the time.

Marisa Wright profile image

Posh, please delete Homesteadbound's comment. You are giving the copied version of the Hub a free backlink, which will raise its reputation in Google's eyes. I'm sure she won't mind - she would never want to harm your Hub!

There is a thread on the forums telling you what to do: the owners of the site are crooks so there's no point complaining to them, you need to report it in Webmaster Tools and to their web host.

I've just recently began writing so I'm not ready to expand yet, but I would eventually like to develop my own 'streams' of income. Being a Yankee, I too, believe that you should never have all your eggs in one basket. Unlike other folks, I can't seem to write a quality article a day. My writing process takes time. I'll continue to plug away. Thanks for sharing your tips, posh.

Keep on plugging away as you say. I do recommend you sign up, listen, write a review and get paid on slicethepie. http://www.slicethepie.com/?wyd=423602

Posh, it's good to hear that you are making this work. I'm kind of in the same boat, in that I have myself spread out quite a bit. I have three blogs, three websites, and have signed up for numerous places. I find the hard part is keeping everything straight and balancing it all. I wasn't sure if I was doing the right thing but I am starting to believe that this diversification is the best way to make money in the long run.

Thanks for the great hub and for sharing your story. I found it encouraging.

Wonderful information! I currently have 3 blogs on blogspot. I really don't know what I am doing there yet, but am trying to learn. It is used basically to like to my hubs. I currently am struggling to find time to write here on HP, I don't know how I would find time to write on more sites. This is very interesting and useful. Voted up and sharing with followers.

sgbrown,

my advice is to work where you get the best results but have something to fall back on just in case. Eggs in one basket and all that.
