Personal Blog ,Hubpages Or Squidoo - Which Is Better

Updated on May 9, 2011

There Are Many Platforms To Write

If you are looking for new website to publish your freelance writing ,there are many websites available where you can make money by publishing your work. You can write articles ,write reviews or you can participate in forums. You may probably know that there are websites that pays well for your work and many other you will receive very small amounts for hours of work.

Expect few almost all the websites are paying through Google Adsense revenue share. For this you should have your own Adsense account (If you don't have your Adsense ID you can apply for one for free).Almost all the sites are haring more than 50 % Adsense revenue with publishers. And Some site are sharing 100% adsense revenue.

Which Is Better ?

As there are many revenue sharing sites available new bloggers are having doubt that among all of these sites which is better.

If you want to set up your own blog popular are Blogger.com and wordpress.com.Both the services are free and very easy to setup without much technical knowledge. Many new bloggers consider to go for their own blog because they think that it is free, they can keep 100% ad revenue and they can write what ever they like. What they think is right.

But the problem is wordpress.com do not allow advertising for free members. It is not allowed to share affiliate links also.If you have high level traffic they may include you in exceptions. If you want to add affiliate links or adsense you have to purchase premium domain.

You can ad adsense code and affiliate links in blogger but the problem is to genrate the traffic and promote your own blog.It is not very easy to generate traffic and make it search engine friendly.

I strongly recommend to consider hubpages.com as your primary writing platform.I am using it my self ,and I am very pleased by the dashboard and the design. You can create any number of web pages you want.Web pages here are called Hubs. You can categorize your hubs for more search related traffic.Hubpages will automatically run ads on your hubs (You should have Adsense account for this.If you are not having adsense account you can apply for one using your hubpages account).Hubpages is site which is highly search engine optimized. So there is not too much hard work needed to build traffic to your hubs.

On Hubpages.com you earn money through online advertising revenue. Every time someone views one of your Hubs, they display ads. 60% of the time, these ads can generate revenue for you, and 40% of the time, the ads can generate revenue for HubPages. The ads can come from advertising affiliates (Amazon, eBay & Google).Hubpages.com make it easy for you to sign up for each!

One more reason to consider hubpages.com as your primary platform (Latest Of course) is Hubpages Ad program. If you opt for Hubpages ad program they will run other ads along with Your google adsense ads.

There are other opportunities to earn money with traffic referral program as well as writers referral program.

Squidoo

You can also consider squidoo.com ,if you are not having adsense account or you didn't get adsense account or you have banned to use adsense.Squidoo uses various methods to pay its writers(lens mater. They call web pages as lenses). Here also you can create several lenses (web pages) and categorize according to search traffic. But you can not expect much ad revenue with squidoo. The good point is that total affiliate revenue is yours if you use your own affiliate link. You can opt to donate your revenue to charity or you can take cash if you just want cash or you can opt for both.

Your Opinions Are Needed

In this hub ,i have given my personal opinion about hubpages.com.If you are having any other opinions or if you find any other sites that bloggers can consider please reply through your comments.
