Who is the richest man in the world?

The richest man in the world is a fluctuating thing due to changes in stock values and just the general way in which wealth changes in any given period of time. Thus, this article may shift from time to time as some eligible men drop off and others are added in. However, these five men are all possible candidates for the richest man in the world as of October 2011, though only the first three are close to each other in overall net worth. That being said, it is actually Mukesh Ambani who is expected to become the world's richest man in the next few years.
