I have the last known phone number and address of my previous employer. He has changed them sense then. Will the Texas Workforce Commission still be able to get in contact with him so that I can receive unemployment benefits in Texas?
I don't know about Texas, but in Ohio, if the employer is unreachable, Unemployment authorities go with what you say and pay the claim.
In Texas, I expect UI can find the new address and phone and send the usual claim letter. If it goes unanswered, I don't know what happens there - in Ohio, if unanswered, the ex-worker received the benefits (ubless we have had a recent change in regulations).
