The cost of producing an E-Textbook is significantly lower than producing an actual text book. So why then are E-Textbooks so expensive? A lot of times they are even more expensive than a used one.

I think that after years of charging $100+ for a textbook, these companies don't want to start making less money by not charging as much for E-Textbooks.
The writers probably don't want to make less money, either.
It's a shame that we have to spend the same price for something that isn't tangible, but I imagine one day they'll have to significantly reduce their prices.
