Throw a big yard sale in the church parking lot. Have the church members donate items to sell, advertise it like crazy, and sell food. It will be a cash cow.
I totally agree with theframjak. You just can't go wrong with a yard sale! Members will donate their good stuff to help out the church. An added bonus is that the church members will also be buying. When you add baked goods and hot dogs, you're in for some serious $$!
I have worked with a number of non-profit organizations to help them accept credit cards for their various fundraising efforts, including ticket sales to events and bake sales or handmade gift sales. Some of the options for this are detailed on my hub: http://jeffreypoehlmann.hubpages.com/hu … PhoneSwipe The fact is, accepting cards as payment options has increased the revenue from some of these fundraisers significantly, often doubling the profits.

Why are there so many churches? In a neighboring city there is a population of 9000 and there are 126 churches. Isn't this excessive and a waste of money(for the rents and building costs)? What's the point in having so many.

We have a church in our town that has me worried. It is non-denominational, its targeted audience is families -- particularly with teenagers. The sermon is a pre-taped sermon from somewhere else. There is a worship team that is basically musicians. There is a case I know of where a teenage girl has...

In a civilized society, people care about others and want to help the less fortunate. There is a divide amongst us in deciding which course is best: private charity or government-issued charity. In my opinion, people, in their compassion, develop ways to help each other. They do so through...
