Bulk REO Trader is a scam. They ARE NOT giving away houses (says so on their site... wait for the popup). I'd even be willing to bet a house that fraud charges will be filed by this time next year. They're probably already being investigated by the FTC, FBI, or SEC.
About the credit... You don't NEED credit. You can save to buy cars, use debit cards to make reservations at hotels or for rental cars, and you can get a home loan without having a credit history (it's called manual underwriting and is performed by about 20% of mortgage companies).
