That has not been worthwhile for students for many years.  Often graduates never get a job that pays well enough to comfortably pay back the loan, if at all, ever.  That is not going to change for some time, if ever.  The world economy is in its death throes -- bloated, welfare-ridden, bureaucratic and privilege-sapped.

Student loans are now another way the establishment is creating a new class of indentured servants.

Better to learn a trade that cannot be "outsourced" and that illegal aliens don't have the intelligence to do at minimum wage.

Sometimes. In my opinion, it's only a good idea if it is absolutely necessary to in order to get a high salary job. My guide is if you can pay it off within 5 years of graduation. I realize that means medical school is out of the question for many who want to be general practitioners. But, it may be worthwhile for surgeons, some specialists and vets who have low malpractice insurance costs (as opposed to family doctors). Attorneys are often expected to have imported cars and suits and memberships to country clubs. That high cost lifestyle eats up a lot of the money you earn leaving their net income less than the average plumber who owns their own business. Otherwise, you may find a company that will help pay education costs or work your way through. Just want to let you know that 17% of college graduates file for bankruptcy every year and you can't erase student loans. Better to work more and take longer to finish school in most cases than to take on loans.
