   I absolutely think that children should be taught about money and finances. I remember in high school that you weren't required to take any sort of finance class, or even economics. Money makes the world go 'round, not ceramics!

   I think it is imperative that schools teach on finances and money. My son, who is in 9th grade, is taking an extracirricular "Entrepreneur Class". The are learning everything from balancing a check book to starting a business, and about investing in stocks. I think it is great for him and any student to have that sort of education for their future.

   Absolutely.  Security is one of the "needs" in life.  It is not a want.  Maybe some politicians don't want educated people.  If everybody was versed in economics, they wouldn't be able to get away with what they do.  At a minimum a finance awareness and survival course should be taught in High School.

   I Norway, recently they have started projects in school that they give the pupil the possibility to start there own "real" businesses and make some money from it, though it's a mini scale, still I think it is an awesome initiative. But there is still a lack of education on money an finance, which is very said. If I had learned what I know to day about money and finances, I would have been close friends with Robert Kiyosaki and Donald Thrump for many years ago ;-)

   I started my professional career as a high school teacher. I taught a life studies course that went into finances and other basics needed in life but overall, little if anything teaches our youth the basic skills they need on their journey thru life. Almost nothing in regards to finances. I do believe there is a reason why. I do believe there should more emphasis on lifes basics and less on geometry and trigonometry things one seldom if ever uses.

    Yes. One day they  grown up and must take care of them self. If they don´t know how to take care of money when they are young, they will be losers in the society. It´s also important to understand why our states need tax to build welfare.

    best to start at home!
    Studies shows that children down to 3 age can understand  concept of money.
    sorry but I don't believe that  mainstream education is capable to shift the course .(

    I believe children should be taught financial awareness early in elementary school and followed up with structured classes in finance and economics in junior high.  Many teenagers have no  idea how to balance a check book.

    Yes I think schools should also play their important role in teaching a child the importance of money and financial matters.....though the primary responsibilities lies with parents to teach all these at home......because children spend much more time with parents and only a short time at school.....so parents can also teach their kids about money issues by physical examples also and all these teachings can surely be reinforced and re-emphasized at school levels.Thanks.

    Absolutely. This is because soon enough they enter the real world where money plays too much of a role. So they can suddenly find themselves facing something they have no idea about.
