Do you heard about Cloudjobs.net which I found through my job search. That was a job site providing services for the job seekers in Cloud computing industry.

indeed.com is the most comprehensive I am aware of.

It is an aggregator of most of the other job sites on the web.

Honey, go to eBay and sell some things so you can last until your writing brings in more. Not what you want to do for a living, but it's helped me over the hump a few times. I can't give you more sites, I'm sorry. Good luck and have faith - it will all come in time.

AlexandriaruthK - I see, well good luck. I meant sell at eBay's site, not on your hubs, but I know what you mean. It's not easy out there.

Rebekahelle - Sadly, I don't have any sites to help anyone, I just had a suggestion for eBay.

Indeed.com will pull up jobs postings from Career Builders, Monster and other job search engines. Go directly into the website of the company that you want to work for and sign up for their auto responder.

    The Census Bureau is hiring.

What type of job are you looking for?

I worked for the Census Bureau in the Spring of this year, and just got a call regarding a re-hire this week.  Check it out-it is fascinating work.

Your state's employment commission website is a good resource.  Your local city, county, and parks and recreation departments are generally hiring for summer positions, check their websites.

Classifieds in the local newspapers.  Your city and county websites will list major employers in your area, go directly to the websites of manufacturers, hospitals, and retailers in your area and apply through there.

Craigslist can be a good resource for freelance jobs like merchandising.  It can also be a good place to get scammed so make sure a company name is listed in the ad so you can research before applying.

    Good luck in your search.

alexandria, are you looking for online jobs or any job?

sufidreamer has some great hubs about freelancing with specific sites listed.

if you're looking for any job, I suggest careerbuilder.com, monster.com and networking through every single person you know.
when you're out in the community, let people know you're looking for a job. let your hair stylist know, they're often good contacts. check out your local news and radio stations as many of them highlight through resumes or allow the person a 30 second airtime to promote themselves. I'm not sure where you live, but this area has high unemployment, so there are many ways of networking. just do some digging, you may be surprised.

temporary work is also an option and often a good way to find a long term position. there are usually temp firms in most communities. call them and make an appointment.
      hope this helps. smile

" www.donanza.com " search engine lists freelancers jobs. I suggest taking a look at sites like textbroker.com as well. other that writing if you're good at web design and software programming then there are lot of freelance jobs out there on elance.com getafreelancer.com and getacoder.com (these 3 sites also have other jobs than technical jobs).

How about making your own job.  Check out my hub on the subject for good suggestions, they're not as sophisticated as the Internet jobs, but they work.
