Interview with Kenny Wordsmith

  1. Tell us a little about yourself. I'm a writer and illustrator of children's books from India. I live in a sleepy suburb of a metro with my wife, two kids, a cat, and many, many books.
  2. What brought you to HubPages? Sweet destiny. My favourite author is P. G. Wodehouse, and I regularly google him. One such search brought me to cgull8m's Hub on smoking, which had a quote by Wodehouse. I spent some hours at HubPages after that, and then signed up!
  3. What do you like Hubbing on, with respect to topics? Mostly art. I believe that everyone is creative, and all can draw if they wanted to, and are willing to practise. I believe in sharing anything that is funny or uplifting, so I can't promise I'll only do art.
  4. What has been your best Hub so far (in your opinion)? Why? Though my hangover cures Hub has been a great performer, my favourite is the one on Dali's Crucifixion. I want to be known as an expert on art, not a designated drunk!
  5. What is your favorite Hub by another Hubber? Very difficult to answer, there are so many. I love hubs that stir up controversy and debate like Isabella Snow's Dating Hubs. Pick any one for my fave.
  6. What is one nice thing about HubPages (the site) that many might not know? Okay, in case many don't: You can write hubs on what you consider yourself an expert on, and send these links to potential employers or prospective clients as part of your portfolio. People only suspected that I was a colour expert, but now I have the hubs to prove it!
  7. Name one thing you learned about from another Hubber's Hub that you didn't know about before. I didn't know that you could derive solar energy from molten salt. Learnt that delightful news from cgull8m's hub, Solar Power with Molten Salt.
  8. What kind of Hubber do you typically join the Fan Club of? Anyone who writes well, is positive and at least a bit humourous. It need not be my favourite subject, but I'll read a hub if it is written with passion. And become the writer's fan. I also become a fan of whoever becomes my fan. To show them that I consider them friends.
  9. If you could impart one piece of advice to a new Hubber, what would that be? Participate. Visit many hubs, leave nice or useful comments, take part in the forums, and watch your cup of happiness and your comments fill up. Don't worry about ratings or scores; just do your best. And write original stuff.
  10. Tell us something that we'd never guess about you—surprise us! I can wiggle my ears. At school, a friend told me he knew someone who could do that. I practised for a day and got it. From that day on, I believe that anyone can do anything someone else does. Now I want everyone to become an artist!
