Interview with Moonmaiden
- Tell us a little about yourself. I have an eclectic personality and like to do something different each day. I'm not a linear thinker, and people often tell me I have a unique perspective on things. I should probably be writing books, but I can't seem to sit still long enough. But I'm not dead yet so who knows.
- What brought you to HubPages? I like to work for myself so I'm always looking for places to write on the Internet that will bring me some income one way or the other. Most of the sites don't match my style very well. Hubpages was the exception. I never seem to tire of it. And they are pretty user friendly for people without too much online experience. So you can learn as you go and get better and better.
- What do you like Hubbing on, with respect to topics? Quirky, creative and weird things. I'd get more hits if I wrote about practical things like Ipods and accounting, but that doesn't really fit my personality.
- What has been your best Hub so far (in your opinion)? Why? The one I'm writing now on Creative Personality Exploration. It is a long term project that will take over a year and I'm looking forward to every moment of it.
- What is your favorite Hub by another Hubber? This one: How I got my hub to be on Google's first page. I'm dying to try out some of his tips on all my hubs.
- What is one nice thing about HubPages (the site) that many might not know? That they have a win/win mentality. They want to have a successful business, but they want their writers to do well too.
- Name one thing you learned about from another Hubber's Hub that you didn't know about before. If you hold down the control key, and scroll your mouse, you can make the text on a page get larger or smaller. That comes in handy for that fine print on websites or when my eyes get too tired. I think JimmytheJock wrote about it.
- What kind of Hubber do you typically join the Fan Club of? Usually people that took the time to write a comment on one of my hubs that is considerate and useful. I also tend to join a new person's fan club so they feel welcome to the site.
- If you could impart one piece of advice to a new Hubber, what would that be? Keep trying. It takes a while to understand all the bells and whistles. Read the forums and ask for help when you need it.
- Tell us something that we'd never guess about you—surprise us! Anything truly amazing about me would probably be censored. Let's just say in some circles I'm almost famous.
