We Are At War

Good Morning Breakfastpoppers. Today is Tuesday, February 25, 2014. Our friend, Harlotte the Spider, is here with me this morning. We are both very upset with the latest blow the Obama Administration has heaped upon us. Please join us this morning for breakfast and an update about the latest outrge. We are having bacon and eggs and a strong Bloody Mary, and rest assured,we have more than enough for everyone.

Welcome, my human family. Although I am merely a spider, I am a historian in my own way. I weave my web in such a way that it tells a story about this great nation of yours. My insect heart weeps for you and your loved ones. You have already endured so much under President Obama. He has destroyed your precious health care and put you all at risk. He has silenced dissent by using the I.R.S. to threaten those who dare to criticize him. He has bowed to your enemies and emboldened them with whispered promises of his willingness to bend to their wishes. He has destroyed your economy with time tested policies that have always failed. Unemployment is hideously high, in fact, much higher than stated. You have endured scandal after scandal with dire consequences for all of you and none for the perpetrators. Your government is expanding its powers in unimaginable ways rather reminiscent of the former Soviet Union. The saddest part of all is that too many of your citizens are sleeping through it all. If they continue to sleep your nation will be changed forever. This is exactly what President Obama is aiming for. He came here to change you once and for all and to put your nation in its proper place, last and least important in the eyes of the world.

And Now For The Military

If your goal is to bring a nation to its knees, it is absolutely essential to weaken its military. Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel has presented your nation with a five year Pentagon budget that would shrink your Armed Force, bringing its members and capability back to pre- Sept.11th numbers. There is not a doubt in the minds of most sane people that these cuts would severely cut your military readiness. These are very dangerous times. Your world is more dangerous than ever and contrary to your President's assertion that al Qaeda is on the run, rest assured they are running your way. Clearly your President Obama is not a student of history. If he were, he would realize that shrinking your military capability is a very dangerous move. The Defense Department will also seek to reduce the growth of tax-free housing allowances for military families. Along with these cuts will be the reduction of annual subsidies to military commissaries and to military health insurance programs. Military retirees and some active duty personnel will be asked to pay more in terms of deductibles and co-pays. All of these cuts will take place along side base closings in the United States and overseas.

These cuts will also drastically reduce the number of young men and women willing to enter the military to serve their country. It is difficult to entertain the notion of serving a nation that doesn't serve or honor its members. These cuts are really not about saving money. They are about a concerted effort to weaken us from within. If money were the only issue there is plenty of wasted money around to double the size of your armed Forces. The federal government is spending $146,944 of your tax money to research sending automated text messages to people with depression in an effort to remind them to take their medicine and monitor their mood and thoughts. How about all those dead people who were paid $31 million in Social Security benefits? Your military will suffer, but the Palestinian Authority gets $148 million from your nation. Grants were given to convicted terrorists, as well. Your nation released $8 billion in frozen assets to Iran in November of 2013. Shall I go on? Do I really have to?

Oh, what a tangled web we weave

When first we practice to deceive

Oh, what a tangled web we weave

When we continue to lie with ease.....
