BP Oil Spill Update

Gulf of Mexico Press Release

Is BP doing enough?

While there are millions of gallons of oil spilling into the ocean & heading into the precious ecosystems of Louisiana ( just one of many states in the USA who will suffer for a long time )

BP Oil has been kind enough to release a press release, you can view it here.

My question is this, Will the USA government hold BP accountable for this, because in my mind it is to little to late, I know that oil is making its way into the wet-lands and beach's all along the southern part of the USA and frankly I don't think that BP is doing enough about it.

This is going to be one of the most costliest disasters and certainly one that will have an effect on the wetlands that scientists & microbiologists will be studying about for years, I wonder how many species will become extinct after this disaster?

I want to know what you fellow hubbers think about this?

Take the Poll below please.

BP has a job going on right now to STOP the oil, Our government, EPA to be exact has the task of keeping us safe! therefore I believe they should be taking care of cleanup ect. I have little problem with them sending the bill to BP just like the ambulance co sends a bill for taking you to the hospital. I am not amazed that not one in the EPA knows anything about oil spills nor drilling in the gulf. I have been wondering what they have done all these years? We spend millions on their salaries! Surely just one of the staff knows something about this type of disaster, but they don't. Typical worthless governmment! BP is doing all they can as quickly as they can. End of story.
