Barack Obama’s Common Sense Immigration

Updated on November 29, 2012

Everyday people get higher hopes of living in America to be apart of the big American dream. Everyday Mexicans risk their life to cross the US/ Mexico border and several other people of several nationalities take risks to be apart of the American dream. Everyday several visas are issued both immigrant and non-immigrant. So we see here that there are several people coming to America from several places.

The issue with this lies in what these immigrants, both legal and illegal, do upon arriving and settling in the country. There are many immigrants both illegal and legal who contribute significantly to America’s economy. They go to work, pay their taxes, and live like any other decent law abiding citizen. However the others create havoc in the country. They distribute illegal substances, they join and form gangs and become very bad influences on the youth that are in their environment.

Today the focus is on the illegal immigrants. The ones who become serious offenders are certainly not welcome to live in the United States. I consider them to be a glop of germs in a big clean area- unwanted, unhealthy, and in danger of immediate eradication. I see no reason for bad behaving illegal immigrants to be living in America. My view is that the faster that they are removed from the country the better it is.

The Solution

Now the very efficient democratic party came up with the idea of common sense immigration. This is a scheme by which the courts will put aside for now, low priority deportation cases, and focus more on the high priority ones. What this is doing is freeing the country of the illegal criminals. By doing this the ones who are not giving any trouble will get a chance to reside longer in the United States and eradicating the others. This is a very efficient solution to what is happening. In my opinion it is like a win/win situation. The good behaving ones will still be liable for deportation, but they will be rewarded for not committing crimes, and the bad behaving ones will be punished for breaking the law.

I would implore every individual who deploys the use of their common sense well to support this action and spread the word. Common sense immigration makes sense. It is much better than what is going on now.

The Republicans

The whole matter of common sense immigration is not new. It is not really a fresh thought. It was introduced in the past to Americans. To the best of my knowledge this idea was fought down severely by the Republicans. And today this fight has continued and I am furious about it. I have previously wrote a hub titled “House defeats Libya authorization measure”. The point of this hub was to bring across the fact that the Republicans have developed a habit of not accepting any idea that the democrats suggest, while the democrats accept a lot of their ideas. The attitude that the democrats have towards the Republicans has not, and is not being reciprocated in anyway or form Words of Barack Obama “When we extend a hand they extend a fist”. I see this as unfair and I think that the Republican ought to do better.

I must say that the Democrats are not perfect either, each party has its own faults. But on this matter the point is that the Republicans in my opinion is the one severely at fault.

I crave you opinion so please take this quick poll and feel free to leave a comment.

Do you think that the Common Sense Immigration should be enforced
