Bomb Control Legislation?

Tick Tock Tick Tock...

Anybody Wonder Why DHS Hasn't Issued A Terror Threat?

This is starting to get wild with an incompetent, bent on destroying the US Constitution progressive President at the helm and his totally over the cliff mad band of Congressional figures with the likes of Reid, Schumer and Pelosi attempting to help Obama fundamentally change this nation. I don't remember too much being wrong with it before he assumed office but we have our hands full in trying to fix what he and his pals are intent on destroying.

Gun control legislation that is being proposed is an absolute joke. It has absolutely nothing to do with preventing atrocities like Sandy Hook or Aurora. A national registry of who has firearms and where is a sick idea and is centered on control - nothing more and nothing less. And the RINOs are piling on the Democratic band wagon without shame. How in the world John McCain remains in office mystifies me.

So in the midst of this foolishness called a debate down here in Houston, Texas a nut case at Lone Star College runs berserk with a knife stabbing and slashing his way to infamy. The next thing you see are ideas circulating about knife control legislation. How stupid can our supposed "thinkers" in this nation of the left be? Take away people's knives and only chefs will be able to slice and dice for us. Now there is a novel idea for curing the unemployment problem. Make everyone a chef! Our elected officials seem intent on doing anything and everything else but concentrating on fixing our economy so lets throw that on the negotiating table too. There is actually a video circulating on the web about doing completely away with the Second Amendment so that only criminals have the means to an end.

The video here was filmed in California. Does that tell you anything? If you haven't seen this yet you need to. It is a "petition" drive to repeal the Second Amendment. The rationalization here defies logic but people were biting hard on it.

Repeal The Second Amendment?

A nut job is a nut job right? If they don't have the means to get their stickies on a gun then try a knife. If a knife isn't available then go online and see what everyday materials you can obtain to make a bomb or two or three or... You get the picture I'm sure. What just happened in Boston at the finish line of the marathon is outrageous but then again so is the world we are living in. Is Bomb Control legislation in your future? Outrageous question but then so are the politicians we keep sending to Washington DC time after time to destroy our nation.

We have a porous southern border and a not so secure northern border and Department of Homeland Security secretary who admits that yeah well maybe a terrorist or two has managed to slip over the border. This is the same crowd who wants to disarm the American public to be at whose mercy? The bad guys or the federal government? Now there's a question for you thinkers of the nation. The video above speaks for itself and the sheeple among us. This is the same federal government that hesitates at securing our borders and has saddled us with a mere $17 trillion dollar backbreaking debt. So go ahead and trust them?

I'm trying to make sense of some of what I see and can't.. We have somewhere between 11-23 million illegal immigrants in this nation and they want to pass legislation to allow them to stay. Does that include the terrorists who have slipped over the border along with the rest of the riff raff? Of course it does. So then along comes an incident like Boston. It will be interesting to see who did what and how they got into this country to do it if it isn't domestic terrorism.

But understand something clearly... What you just witnessed is terrorism whether Obama wants you to believe it doesn't exist and calls it some other name.

The Loons Are Running The Asylum Now!

Gun Control? Knife Control? Bomb Control? Disarm the people by one means and a true loon will find another method to do the deed. Get real fellow Americans. The Second Amendment was designed to snuff out tyrants not to make you trust misguided political talking heads. I'm just calling it like I see it.

Here's a novel idea! Lets have a Politician Control Bill and vote this batch out!

INFO FOR THE DAY: "Currently, support for stricter gun control laws stands at 47 percent today, down from a high of 57 percent… Thirty-nine percent want those laws kept as they are, and another 11 percent want them made less strict."

"Vote It," "Like"It, "Tweet" It, "Pin " It, "Share It" With Your Followers. Time to let em read it and keep reading it.

It was bound to happen, but now it is proven reality. Those with absolutely no common sense and teetering on the edge of insanity now rule the earth, or at least they rule the USA.

Soon they will be coming for our cars! It is frustrating to have common sense, isn't it? Up and awesome, as always .

Every day this ping-pong ball in North Korea spends running his mouth with idle threats is another day that the Obama Administration is out of the light of scrutiny. Boston is an example of what happens when you declare terrorism to be a non-viable concept and come back home. Terrorism 101: Fight Them There or Fight Them Here! Given enough Bostons and we suddenly have a ground ripe for government-imposed curfews and maybe even martial law. After all, how can our soldiers fight terrorism on our streets if it is lined with citizens wondering what the hell is going on here. Of course, this is also another opportunity for the "government" to be seen as the "Lord & Savior" over the people standing at the ready to protect them from harm but totally helpless to stop someone with a couple of ball-bearing bombs from causing chaos on our streets. Go soft on terrorists and they will come to see you. Now, Obama is going to bring the "full spectrum of justice" to bear....like he did in Benghazi, I suppose. There is something very nauseating about all of this...it reeks of ignorance and tolerance in a society. ~WB

Got your motor running earluy this morning did I Wayne? LMAO. It's true and people, even after seeing what is happening with their own eyes, refuse to accept it for what it is. Corruption at the highest levels of our nation.

Without secure borders we put out the welcome mat and they deny they are doing it. It'll all get better just trust em. That is exactly what has got us into this mess in the first place.

Shootings are just an excuse for politicians to pass gun laws. I am not sure of the motivations but we need fewer, not more laws.

Just maybe if they started enforcing the gun laws already on the books they might not have to write new laws that won't be enforced? But then they would have to pay people to enforce the existing laws, and that would go against their plan of cutting law enforcement and Military.

So, I guess it is better to just ignore the old laws and write new laws that won't be enforced either?

Here's the conversation:

"Let's register all the law abiding gun owners in an attempt to disarm all the criminals."

"How can that help since criminals won't register their guns?"

"It won't, but we have to do something! It's for the children!"

So here we have all of our supposed 'leaders' running around hysterically, proposing measures that they know will do absolutely nothing to prevent future slaughters.

That is exactly why we have a Constitution...to keep these elected morons from taking away our rights.

Our government is complicit in the Boston Bombings - as long as our borders (land / air / sea) remain open, this is the truth of the matter. The 24/7 rambling on the television is ridiculous - reporting absolutely zero that is useful 99% of the airtime. We want information so much, that we find ourselves actually watching - then snap - we turn it off to keep ourselves from becoming addicted to the noise.

We are definetly being lied to about border security by our friends in Homeland Security. If you want to know the truth just talk to a Border Patrollman and they will tell you the real story.

Oh, oh, I know...I got it! Let's register all the bombs and the bomb-makers...make it something that you have to be licensed by the state to do...just like being a plumber. That should fix it! ~WB

Mike - Don't say such things as enforcing the existing laws. To a liberal that is heresy. Whistles right in one ear and out the other without touching either brain cell in their heads on the way through. Another stat they don't like is that only 3% of gun sales happen via gun shows. Drat! Foiled by facts again. Part of the Gang of 8 went to the border and they were hopping the fence right in front of them.

Will - They are appealing strictly to emotion and using our children as props wile doing so. I wonder if Obama is going to use the dead two year old in Boston as a prop next. The guy is despicable.

Juanita - What you said is why I included the comments in my article about the border. It puts out the welcome mat and they are ignoring it and encouraging further illegal activity along the southern sieve.

Wayne - Now you're starting to think like a liberal! STOP IT!!!

This gun control is nonsense. Now we have a serious problem with the Boston bombings and Obama stands up like he is all tough, but we have seen how he handled Bengazi and certainly the workplace violence joke. I believe Obama is achieving his goal of ruining out nation. People are much more interested in the economy and jobs than they are guns. I'm unhappy because it is so hard to find bullets now. Great hub.

Stu 3 years ago

Right on Frog. The gun-grabbers are using Sandy Hook type incidents not to "protect the People," but to CONTROL them. Only a disarmed People can long be subject to tyranny, and the Tyrant-In-Chief knows this. Think about his proposed "citizen army," as large and as well provisioned as the professional military. Even the lowest grade idiot can see that this is an end run around Posse Comitatus and related Constitutional law limiting military involvement in domestic police matters. Without these critical laws as an effective barrier, anybody at the top can become a summary dictator, and nobody can get rid of him. All the things we used to say "couldn't happen here" ARE HAPPENING HERE, NOW!

I have to wonder if things like this were not staged in an effort to manipulate the public's feelings and garner support by those thinking with their hearts instead of their heads. I find the timing of all of these events more than a little suspicious, but that's just me.

Dope is illegal but the laws surely haven't slowed down the trafficking of it, the usage of it, the crime associated with it or anything else. Bad guys will always get weapons just like dope heads will always get high. All this will do is make good guys easy targets. Pretty soon, if this keeps up, the American people will turn to the black market, if they aren't already. People, ultimately, can't be controlled unless they want to be. Any parent knows there comes a point when it's up to the kid because ultimately they are going to do what they are going to do. The same holds true with us all. The government is going to keep pulling the reigns tighter and tighter. That will lead to an inevitable mass uprising. It's human nature. We need to get rid of these toxic politicians while we still have a nation to save.

And we still have those who insist that Gitmo should be closed, and all those hardcore terrorists turned loose.

We could actually pattern a program perfected by the Humane Society.

"Adopt a Terrorist." This way those who find keeping these human animals locked up could adopt one, get him his shots, teach him to sit, stay, lie down, play fetch, and keep him in their own home as a pet.

This sounds ridiculous, but is not that different than ICE releasing over 3,000 criminals onto our streets without even notifying local Law Enforcement in some cases. Homeland Security deny's knowing this was happening even though ICE reports to them.

Sleep well tonight, Homeland Security is watching over you.

Before we enact 'bomb control legislation', whatever that is, let's look at a puzzling fact about the Boston Marathon bombing. There were bomb-sniffing dogs at the start and finish lines well before the explosions. Onlookers were told that there was nothing to be alarmed about, that this was just a drill. Sound familiar?

And why were the bomb-sniffing dogs unable to find any explosives?

Without warning, and without even a reason

hub pages can ban

It didn't mean anything to me because I didn't have a money account.

I have actually been banned twice, and hubpages should really be the target, as they are no different than anyone else on the far left.

just a thought

Any truth to the rumor, Jim, that we may soon need an official license to purchase cutlery that includes dinner knives? Just askin'.

Ghost32 3 years ago

Frog: How McCain stays in office is not that mysterious, Jim. He spent something like $18 million OF HIS OWN MONEY during his last reelection run...IN THE PRIMARY. When a rather openly flabbergasted Arizona-local reporter asked him why so much (when none of his challengers were ever remotely close to him in the polls), he replied in two words:

"TO WIN!"

Summary: When you've got the name recognition plus $18 mil to splash all over an oppenent who's got half a mil at best, who do ya think the sheeple are gonna vote for?

Old Poolman profile image

Old Poolman 3 years ago from Rural Arizona

Applying some simple math, this paints a picture of many politicians. With a few exceptions, none of them are stupid and would not spend $18 million of their own money unless they knew they could at least double their money if the win the election.

Why would anyone "buy" a job unless they knew it was a financially smart move to do so?

The Frog Prince profile image

The Frog Prince 3 years ago from Arlington, TX Author

Mike - I understand why they do it but McCain is a lapdog. The electorate needs to wake up. Flake sucked the Tea Party support in in Arizona and now we see where that is going. These fake conservatives seem to abound out there in your neck of the woods.

Jim - Wouldn't it be great if we could trust and believe even one thing they say? It seems that only two things drive what they really believe in.

1. Which way is the political wind blowing when it come time to vote on any given bill. They will always vote the way that will get them the most votes and keep them in their cushy jobs.

2. What's in it for them? Can they use their votes to buy a few favors or further line their pockets with gold?

Term limits are looking like a better idea all the time.
