CAN THE PRESIDENT HANDLE THE ISIS CRISIS?

When Barack H. Obama was elected the first black President of the United States of America Europeans were optimistic and embraced the Man. His race was a fact but not a negative factor in Europe. His election created hope worldwide and he was awarded The Noble Peace Prize. He drew huge crowds where ever in the world he traveled. His words and ideas brought hope to a divided United States of America in 2004 when he said “We don’t live in red or blue states, we live in The United States of America”. The colors have changed since the colors of blue and grey fought to divide or unite The United States of America. The President was telling the truth about colors as presented politically today, but not the whole truth. He couldn’t mention that the Red State’s ideas and spirits wore grey. The Founding fathers could not imagine a Black Man or a Woman President of the United States of America. Grey was a losing color chosen by the South during their attempt to secede over taxes and slavery. Rich southern land owners and Capitalist supported the Confederate’s right to be wrong in their attempt to repeal and replace the Constitution of The United States. The Constitution was written in blue coat Northern States along with “We hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created equal”. The President couldn’t go where I just went and not be accused of playing the race card. It doesn’t matter where I went, I didn’t mention race except in relation to Barack being the first Black President. The mention of slavery, the civil war, and racism or police brutality would automatically disqualify a Black Presidential Candidate, for using the race card. So the president didn’t use the race card to win he used the spirit of America to win the race for President of The United States of America. His victory was welcome and accepted worldwide and in Blue States. Red States and their backers caught fire and threaten to secede again; instead they decided to declare war on the President. After winning the 2010 mid-term elections it became obvious Red States voted in Domestic Political Terrorist calling them The Tea Party. Then they started their war with the use of the Race card. The middle class and working poor on down to the underclass were collateral damage in this bloodless revolution against the President and the United States of America.

The first major crisis the President faced was the economic collapse of banks that were too big to fail and out of control unemployment. The too big to fail banks were bailed out by President Bush before he stepped down. President Obama with the help of stimulus money was able to save the US Auto Industry with a loan, not a bailout. While being forced to freeze Government hiring, he was able to slow the bleeding of private sector jobs by the 2010 mid-terms. High on his list to make fundamental change in the way things were done in Washington was the ending of both wars and closings Gitmo. He was not allowed to close Gitmo because of security reasons. Even though The President was able to bring the majority of troops home from Afghanistan, there are still about 30,000 troops poised to leave early next year. All Troops were pulled out of Iraq, but Dick Cheney said that was a mistake, he never said he and then President Bush made a mistake going into Iraq in the first place. It’s strange how much power and control the minority Teaparty and the Republicans have in Washington after losing the last two national elections and winning one midterm election in 2010. They discovered that they can maintain control after losing the White House by doing absolutely nothing for four or eight years. If they do nothing the President can do nothing and they can blame the President for nothing being done, brilliant!! Huh? The people are not paying attention; they are being entertained or totally confused and lied to by their representatives. The 2014 Mid-term is no joke you may think it’s just another election but all the suffering of the American middle class and underclass in the last three years and ten month was the result of the 2010 Midterm elections, not Obama.

The President doesn’t look like a Dove with no Hawk in him to the enemies of America. They know he’s got the courage to authorize many drone strikes worldwide against America’s enemies. Those decisions he must live with the rest of his life. The war against the President is being seen and heard worldwide. The disrespect and defunding of his Presidency has been witnessed by friends and foe. America’s Foe worldwide doesn’t detect a weakness in him they see a weakness in our Government since the tea party came to Washington. The President can still sit and have intelligent conversation with anybody or any World Leader and get some cooperation but not the tea party republicans in Washington. It is against an unspoken law for 1/3 of the US Government to agree with anything the President agrees with, a hug or handshake could end a republican’s political career. Although the President has managed to help everyday people a large number of Democrats are afraid to embrace him too closely around the Mid-term.

So now, continuous politically man made crisis governance orchestrated by The US House of Representatives, since the 2010 Mid-term must now discontinue the Governmentlessness. The Fiscally Conservative Republicans aren’t preventing the President from helping the long-term unemployed or the 47%er’s that feel entitled, this time the republicans will find the money at any cost for War. President Bush was able to declare war on a US Government Credit Card; he didn’t need tax revenues or a voucher from congress. President Obama has no stimulus money left, no tax revenue, and no credit card to go to war and win. This is going to be interesting. The Tea party has always dealt the President a hand from the bottom of the deck. The stimulus was undercut, tax revenues, budgets, and the latest undercut was the six hundred million given of the 3 1/2 billion asked for by the President to SOLVE the crisis on the border. I don’t know if this crisis is any more powerful than any other of the many crisis we passed through on this strange governance of the last five years. The Tea party has been degraded but not destroyed. The last Midterm Election the Tea Party was growing (They said). This Mid-term the troops are not on the corners of America with their racist signs. I think they realized that they were entitled and in the underclass and apart of the 47%er’s targeted by Conservative Austerity. Some Tea Party foot soldiers may have voted for The President’s reelection in 2012. They said the Tea party was growing; now they say ISSI is growing. Dick Cheney briefed the Republican Leaders on The Art of War last week and said that the ISSI crisis is a thread to Europe, The US, The Middle East and The World. ISSI is accepting American and European volunteers and is very few in members 10,000 to 30,000 strong. They remind me of the Tea Party, a small group with dreams of the South rising again. ISSI may have dreams of Persia rising again. They, “LIKE THE TEA PARTY”, have exposed themselves and must be Degraded and Destroyed. The President has become an expert on crisis management and I trust his judgment. A PRESIDENT SHOULD ALWAYS LOOK BEFORE HE LEAPS INTO WAR. A man must be preparing to give his life to protect his and his love ones before asking another man to die for him. If millions of Muslims boots are on Muslim grounds fighting ISSI is already defeated and there will be no space for American Boots.

Juko, every word you put on paper is true. Facts are facts. I'm sure the president is working diligently with our allies behind the scene to rid the world of these killers. ( Isis ) I truly believe the people have watched and will remember the republicans who have done nothing to help the president or the people. As far as the tea party, they're done! It's good to see you writing again. I've missed reading your articles. Sharing on twitter...

I think President Obama is uniquely qualified to handle the ISIS crisis because he seems to be the only politician to be able to turn his back on the politics *and the criticism* of the moment and take action that is both effective and long-term. He's a lot more active in international relations, from the situation in Ukraine to the complicated mess in the Middle East, than he shows, and I'm sure he's up to something that we know nothing about. We didn't know about getting bin Laden until he was well and surely got.

I agree with the President's foreign polices, and I think he has handled the Middle East crisis very well. The problems are very complex and there is no cut and dry solution, the way his detractors make it out to be. The situation around the world is very dynamic, and we no longer live in an isolated world of two decades ago. US cannot be expected to police and intervene in each and every crisis on its own - it must work with other regional powers, which is what the President is trying to accomplish so skillfully in the battle against ISIS. I admire the way you've made the point about how the Republicans are making him appear so ineffective. Thanks for sharing.

AMFredenburg agree with your observation of the ability of the President to ignore his critics and solve problems. If he had allow Congress to know when he was about to capture bin Laden his intentions would have been leaked and his hands would have been tied and he denied. Thank you for speaking your mind.

Junko, I support our president 100%. I agree with your assessment of the stalemate at which the Republican Party has foisted upon President Obama, but I must take issue with your putting the blame on the South. I have to agree that we have our own uneducated “sheep” that go baa at every ultra conservative idea thrown their way by those brilliant Yankees, the Koch brothers. We are a self-reliant people who work hard for our money, and we don’t like the handouts being given to undeserving people. But we do have some people who don’t or can’t think through how an idea might benefit someone besides their own selfish selves.

But the SOUTHERN Tea Party causing so much political distress, oh me, oh my. I did a quick check and found Tea Party Headquaters in:

Washingtion, DC

Las Vegas, NV

Ann Arbor, MI

Kent, WA

Concord, NH

Anchorage, AL

And I think if I had time to do the research, I would have found TP HQ in all states north of the Mason-Dixon Line.

The Koch Brothers are funding most of the Red-State South. The Republicans running in our governor’s race and our congressional races are being funded by the Koch brothers. Recently, Congressman (thank you Kochs) Tom Cotton (R) Ark. missed one of the most important political get-togethers so he could be in California for what was reported as a “strategical planning session” with his Koch Brother backers. It was not missed by the local media, who by the way are Republican, but accurately reported that his Democrat opponent, Senator Mark Pryor was at the get together shaking hands with the people.

So please, don’t put the blame where it doesn’t belong. The South has been the North’s whipping boy for too long. We are only about 1/5 or less of the United States. If we are so powerful, how come we didn’t win the War of Northern Aggression?

Mizbejabbers I don’t know what blame I put all on the South. I wrote concerning the South, “The Red States Ideas and Spirit wore Grey”. I wrote “Grey was a losing color chosen by the South during their attempt to secede over Taxes and Slavery”. I wrote “Rich Southern Land Owner and Capitalist supported the Confederate’s right to be wrong in their attempt to repeal and replace the Constitution of the United States”. I wonder is there a Johnny Rebel vs. Yankees card that’s placed by those who still harbor the ideas and spirit of blue and grey of old. I didn’t blame the South for anything, I just mention the unmentionable. You had issue with me saying before that the South didn’t want to pay taxes to the Government on sugar they were producing in the Caribbean Islands, remember? I am glad you didn’t stay mad and stopped by again when you felt an issue with me. Your issue this time is just plain wrong, I didn’t blame the South. I just expressed my view which will always differ from yours. Don’t stop trying to understand my views and I’ll keep trying to understand yours. PS..I think I understand your views.

It's always a pleasure to read your topics and to get a clearer view and understanding about or government. Yes, through reading the topics and comments one is able to filter through some of the kinks that are placed to the general public by the Republican Party. Or President has always done an excellent job through caring for the American people and I am sure with ISIS he has our interest at heart and he will do what is right to protect all of us, whether you're in the red state or blue one, he did say he was a president for, "All the People".

Again, thank you for your helping hand through writing!

Junko, I never have been mad at you, so please don’t believe that I am. I am a middle-of-the-road Democrat with liberal leanings. You are correct, unfortunately, that the former states who wore gray are red states. They voted Democrat until, I’m not sure exactly when they switched, but I think it was after our own Jimmy Carter became president. I think the South had a craw full of Lyndon Johnson, and then they saw Carter as weak. You did make one statement that gave me the impression that you were hanging the South for the Tea Party:

“They remind me of the Tea Party, a small group with dreams of the South rising again.”

OK, let’s take this sentence apart (I am a legal editor by profession). To whom are you referring as “a small group with dreams of the South rising again”? This phrase modifies “Tea Party”. Even in context I can’t take it any other way, and by legal implication, the South being the owner of the Tea Party.

Now for this great great niece of Nathan Bedford Forest, them’s fightin’words.

I find the Tea Party to be a despicable bunch, hiding under what appears to be a legitimate idea, but I was defending the fact that it isn’t just a Southern organization. I will also say that intelligent Southerners do not dream of the South rising again. That is an idea fostered by a tiny minority bunch of Redneck survivalists glamorized by Hollywood and the media. So let’s be friends and still agree to disagree, but only occasionally, because I agree with 99.9% of what you say. I, for one, encourage you to keep saying it, just please don’t single out the South in that type of context because that in itself is prejudicial. We are all Americans now. Let's shake hands and be Americans.

The people who fought The Civil War are long gone, but their spirit and Ideas still exist in many of their descendants. I wrote “ISSI is accepting American and European volunteers and is very few in members 10,000 to 30,000 strong. They remind me of the Tea Party, a small group with dreams of the South rising again. ISSI may have dreams of Persia rising again”. There are some in ISSI that dream of Persia before it was partitioned by Europe. There are Ideas and Spirits that yearn for the time when most of it was called Persia. The Boots on the ground Tea party foot soldiers carrying the signs exhibited the Spirit and Ideas of those who fought to maintain the Slavery of Man, it was a Southern breeze. The leaders of the Tea party was Rush and Fox news, they were financially supported by Conservative Capitalist. My estimate of 10 to 30 thousands Southern extremists in the Tea party was a Conservative estimate. The good thing is they woke up and Hannity’s Great Americans can identify with the 47’ers. I was born and raised in the South and know but love the South. I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. I’ll shake your hand and give you a big hug and then together when we can acknowledge and exposes evil publicly.

Junko: I really liked how your stream of consciousness gives the rational for how Obama has been blocked on almost every move he has tried to make. Just think what he could have accomplished if he wasn't blocked.

As far as solving the ISIS problem, it is a three way civil war among the Shia, Sunni, and Kurds. I believe it is in our best interest to stay out of it completely. We will never succeed in creating a democracy out of a theocracy and we will lose blood and treasure trying. For us and the mid-east, it is really all about oil. But we disguise it in terms of democracy and they disguise it terms of religion.

I have a suggestion for your format style. I suggest that you use more paragraph headings. As I scrolled through the text, I kept losing my place. If there are more paragraph headings, it will be easier for readers to keep track of where they are when they scroll. But I thought it was a great piece. voting up and sharing.

An interesting and informative read and quite thought provoking. I think the POTUS knows more about the background of what is happening and I trust him as commander in chief. I just glad I'm not making those decisions.

what now since the Republicans control the house and senate. Will health care be repealed?

junko profile image

junko 2 years ago Author

I don't think The Republicans can repeal the ACA but, they can restore the opportunity of medical devise capitalist to increase their share of Federal healthcare funds. The solution reached and supported by Republicans concerning the VA Hospitals was to provide millions to recruit Private Sector Doctors to contract for Federal health care funds. The Republican can't argue that the ACA is not having positive results. They just want control of it and the chance to redistribute wealth from the Federal Government to the Private Sector. Its nothing new, its the Republican and Capitalist Way and I don't think the President takes it personal. Mary all we can do is wait and see what happens when they are in control. Thanks for asking, don't worry be happy as you can be.

CAN THE PRESIDENT HANDLE THE ISIS CRISIS?

America/Obama like all other Countries/Leaders have been and will be faced with challenges from opposition opposing the direction that the majority voted for. America has a history of overcoming and changing bad and failed ideals. America has always move in the direction of uniting it's people; Indians, Blacks, Whites and all the other people which make up "The Great American Melting Pot". It is why this country is what it is and going where it's going. The Tea Party and others opposing the President is a minority like Isis and on the wrong side of History. America is bigger than any President, Party or Ideology. America have been and always will be faced with challenges from within and without. When Barack Obama decided to run for President of the United States of America he embraced it's pass from Indians, Pilgrims, Slavery, the Civil Rights Movement to the right to pursue "The American Dream". "I Pledge Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for All". President Barack Obama is the United States of America's #1 representative and despite the opposition from home he still represents America to the world as a leading country in World Affairs. He has taken the Isis Crisis to the World Stage and asked the world to handle it! So can the World handle the Isis Crisis? Junko you are an enlightenment to the world. May God continue to bless you use you.
