Change We Can Grieve In: How Obama Dismantled The U.S. Auto, Financial, Medical & Constitutional Ascendancy

He hasn't even been in office for one year, and so far President Barack Hussein Obama has wreaked more outright destruction on every fiber of American life than two World Wars.

The combined attacks by the Kaiser and the Fuhrer did not:

  • Indebt the American population by over $10 trillion dollars ($5 trillion in interest alone), a burden that can never be paid off
  • Demolish the underpinnings of Free Enterprise: the very essence of The American Way
  • Rip apart the stock market and the banking system
  • Throw millions of people out of their homes
  • Eradicate the availability of necessary credit to millons of more people
  • Bankrupt over 6,000 people a day
  • Halt IPOs and job creation
  • Slash the value of the U.S. Dollar
  • Eliminate four major car marques and place three more on the verge of death
  • Place bureaucrats in a position to determine whether an American is granted life saving surgery & medicine
  • Violate the essence, spirit, and letter of the U.S. Constitution, and the specific will of the Founding Fathers
  • Force the nation to adopt repugnant Marxist policies as Top-Down command economy and socialist medicine

Indeed, World War I and World War II sparked profound patriotism and enhanced economic activity, thus it can be stated that on those aspects alone those wars had an overall beneficial effect for the United States of America (of course never making light of the heavy price paid with the lives of American soldiers).

There has not been a single aspect of President Obama's administration which can be seen as positive in any way whatsoever. It is simply unbelievable that in ten short months this President has created more debt than the previous 43 administrations added together from George Washington to George W. Bush. Ten months to more than double the combined debt of 232 years!

Everything about his governing style and philosophy is straight out of the Politburo catalog: from his appointment of omnipotent czars who stomp on every single form of private property right enshrined in the constitution to suit their Marxist Top-Down "Five Year Plan" dictates, to the wholesale annihilation of the free enterprise economic engine which has powered this nation since 1776.

There is no doubt that the era when the United States of America wielded power and influence by its moral and ethical ascendancy expressed through its unique and awe-inspiring constitution has been mercilessly and shamefully terminated by the fundamentally misguided Marxist ideology of the greatest peril faced by the United States of America this century.

The ignorant, deluded fools who will read this Hub and stand up on their soapboxes to claim that this President was saddled by the (albeit profoundly addled and outright criminal) policies of the previous administration are deaf, dumb and blind, with an emphasis on dumb. This President has in his first ten months in office not only completely ripped up each and every single major promise he made during his campaign, but in the typical Marxist ploy used by Chavez and the other despicable Communist dictators before him, he also vastly misrepresented his own ideology: fooling the American people into giving him the keys to the most powerful office on the planet.

The American voter was hoodwinked into placing a combination of William Ayers, Frank Marshall Davis, Saul Mendelson, and Bernie Sanders into the White House under the guise of a well spoken, charismatic, former Senator from Illinois.

Where is the Hope now, Mr. Obama? You certainly spoke a good game on the campaign trail, but the polls are clear. About as many Americans now hold you in utter contempt as they did your predecessor. However, you can not be expected to do the right thing and resign. Your power hungry Marxist kind never does.

As a Canadian citizen but an American patriot, I beg the American people to take every single legal, ethical, moral, legitimate and of course strictly non-violent step to impeach Barack Hussein Obama. It may already be too late.

Hal - I enjoyed and agreed with your hub about the arctic ice shrinking. But I am disappointed in this hub.

YOu said that Obama:

"Eradicate[d] the availability of necessary credit to millons of more people" - how did Obama do this? Don't you think that the economic conditions in place before Obama, or even Bush, was elected might have something to do with this?

The same goes for the auto industry, and for the financial crisis. Republicans repealed the Glass Steagal act in 1999, long before Obama was elected.

"It is simply unbelievable that in ten short months this President has created more debt than the previous 43 administrations added together from George Washington to George W. Bush. Ten months to more than double the combined debt of 232 years!"

Where did you get that number? Give me a link and I bet you I can prove it wrong.

"his appointment of omnipotent czars who stomp on every single form of private property right enshrined in the constitution to suit their Marxist Top-Down "Five Year Plan" dictates"

Really? Give me some examples?

Well I am not an ignorant or deluded fool but I disagree with much of this hub. Still as I am not American I shall pass on further comments

William R. Wilson: I'm going to keep this comment section to "just the facts, ma'am."

I've already addressed my position about the blaming the last guy. President Truman placed a sign on his desk that stated "The Buck Stops Here." That's all that needs to be said about that.

Obama has increased the national debt more than the other 43 presidents combined - Wall Street Journal

I will usually tend to believe the WSJ over a Hub commenter.

As to his czars:

Thank goodness Rattner quit, but can anyone please show me the part in the Constitution and/or the political heritage of 232 years where a government potentate replaces the CEO of a shareholder-owned corporation? Maybe in the unlamented USSR. Not in the USA.

Facts speak for themselves, but since you've dismissed what I have to say before I had a chance to say it I'll keep this short and sweet.

Your Wall Street Journal pundit is twisting the facts. He is probably correct that Obama has doubled all the other spending in nominal dollars.

But he's leaving out two very important things: GDP and inflation. 1 dollar buys a lot less than it did back in George Washington's day. And as far as GDP goes, back in WW2 the national debt was 120% of GDP. After WW2 it was paid down somewhat in the 50s, 60s and 70s, Reagan brought it back up, Clinton brought it down again, and George W. Bush brought it up to something like 75% of GDP.

Obama might take it up to WW2 levels again - but he's dealing with a financial crisis years in the making, a bankrupt public sector, and two very expensive wars.

You're right on every count Hal. But you know, Americans can be blind, stupid, lazy and maddeningly obtuse - until some bozo (like Obama and his bots) decides that that's all there is to them. BIG MISTAKE. We may be down but we are very far from out.

Interesting hub!!

Nicomp: "Translation: It's some elses' fault."

Well, yes. How else is Obama going to deal with things? Our country is broken. Bush did most of the breaking, but he's not the only one.

How can it be Obama's fault? He's been in office less than a year.

William R. Wilson: The facts are indeed simple: In the ten short months that Obama has been in the White House, the damage he has caused to every aspect of American society and business is many times greater than had there been a caretaker government which would have implemented absolutely no policies whatsoever. As you are aware I am not an apologist for Bozo Bush, but his failures fade to insignificance next to Obama's willing demolition of everything which the nation has historically stood for.

The WSJ article is factually correct, as not only are those figures corroborated in many other authoritative sources, but I doubt that a professor of economics at Stanford University and a senior fellow at the Hoover Institution would risk his tenure by politically biased spinning.

Obama has placed an IOU into the hands of foreign nations for a total exceeding 5 million million dollars (yes, million million). This is interest alone, without even touching the principal which can also never be accomplished by Americans in the current economic situation. A post WWII economic boom is as likely to occur in the USA in the foreseeable future as is the declaration that the United States is now a Zoroastrian theocracy.

Although I personally believe Americans would be better off under Zoroastrians than Marxists.

Madame X: Thanks! I am heartened by the poll figures which show that literally millions of Americans each month are reversing their stand from being Obama supporters to being Obama detractors. Hopefully the collective wisdom which has marked the American people for over two centuries will triumph once again. We can only pray.

nicomp: Hey, how are you, subject of my 1500th Hub! Hope you had a nice turkey day. I wasn't able to dine on turkey as I have a strict policy against cannibalism. :)

IMHO: Here is what "The Buck Stops Here" has to mean in the 21st century. Obama stuffed American brain cells with over a year of HOPE, CHANGE, HOPE, CHANGE, HOPE, CHANGE, and in ten months in office he has brought nothing but despair and precipitous collapse. When the American people voted for CHANGE they didn't want CHANGE FROM THE FRYING PAN INTO THE FIRE, and that is exactly the HOPElessness that Obama has wrought. So now he is in the White House, he's almost 1/4 of the way through his mercifully only term, and he has to own up and take responsibility. DO NOT PASS THE BUCK. You wanted the Oval Office, you've got it, now stop pointing fingers and fix what's broken! Of course he is unable to as he has been intoxicated by Marxist idiotology since his teen years and his concept of a successful nation is the United Socialist States Of America.

America's greatness has always been its global presence as the most important bulwark of liberty and freedom. You do not fix what has gone wrong by throwing away the essence of America, you fix it by renewing and reinforcing liberty and freedom. The only possible solution to America's woes is the embracing of Free Enterprise at a level not seen for two centuries, before the creeping accretion of regulation and legislation. Individuals and businesses have to be given total freedom to invest, profit, build, and yes, fail, without the Red Hand of Big Brother Marx on their shoulders.

Barack Hussein Obama has to be impeached for the survival of America. That is my position and it will remain my position until such time as he returns to a successful, dignified, and honorable PRIVATE LIFE.

Phew!! That last post really got my red American blood going Hal - it's almost better than you're original article!!

Hal,

I think you are misreading the situation. The times are fairly analogous to the 1930s after the market crash and the loss of liquidity which jump started the great depression. FDR replaced Hoover by promising greater austerity but was bright enough to learn that liquidity in the form of bank's holidays and public works financed by debt was the way to increase employment, which helped the country work out of the mess Wall Street had created.

Your use of the President's middle name in your call for his impeachment and wrapping yourself in a Red, White & Blue fax patriotism is a good indication of your extreme right views.

Good luck with your impeachment vigil.

Don't Liberals preach tolerance and inclusion? What's the big deal with Barak Hussein Obama's middle name? Are you all ashamed of it? Shucks, he used it himself during his swearing-in ceremony. He's not bothered by it.

Are you bothered by his Muslim heritage? Does it scare you? Do you think he has something to hide?

There's plenty of room in the Libertarian tent. Come on over and bring your president's middle name with you. We embrace people of all middle names.

Madame X. Thank you very much. Am I the only one that finds it strange that it has to be a Canadian to try and shake Americans out of their Red Stupor?

Jovian: Extreme Right Wing is a badge I wear with honor, sir. You analogy holds no credence as the fundamentals of today's global economy are orders of magnitude more complex. Impeachment. NOW.

nicomp: Apparently the Red apologists see every instance of using the President's full legal name as an excuse to launch accusations of racism. That's how desperate they are as they too see the polls and watch their darling sink beneath the waves of public disapproval.
