Confused Commander-In-Chief? Whose Behalf?
A Real Live BX Hero
Well, now that Obama has come out of the closet it should come as no surprise to anyone. Just ask Larry Sinclair. That's a whole different story. According to Obama his views on gay marriage have been "evolving." Isn't it ironic that the whole concept of same sex marriages are at the end of any evolutionary chain? During his outing he attributes his changing views to his Christian faith.
This is the same man who sat in the pews of one Jeremiah Wright and listened to him preaching diatribes about hate, envy and resentment. Of course as he is fond of telling anyone, "He didn't hear the messages." At this point I wonder what position Reverend Wright takes on same sex marriage. Maybe a reader along the way might be able to shed some light.
I won't bore you with his entire interview but here is an important part of what he said and the focus of this Hub. Listen closely at the end.
Maybe not too many caught it but the deal about our service members fighting on "his" behalf hit" a nerve. I retired after 23 years of service about the time this nation elected a lying, cheating, draft dodger by the name of William Jefferson Clinton. The realization of just how much moral decay had occurred over those last few decades came to me at that time. The people of this nation elected that man knowing only part of what he had been involved in and the waning days of his administration proved what I had known all along. Clinton was the one who instituted the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" doctrine that Obama administration turned onto its head. I can tell you from experience that "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" caused a loss of excellent leadership in the armed forces by that very act.
My specific stance is that what occurs in your bedroom is your business. Don't bring it into anyone's living room, place of business and definitely not the streets of this nation. I'm proud to be heterosexual but that doesn't mean I need to have lewd displays paraded around and shown on my television set. I find that abhorrent and a bit abnormal.
An Ommission Of A Word Becomes A Policy
I remember the oath of office quite well as I took it many times over the course of my long career. Obama is obviously confused about what that oath says. It says nothing about our service members fighting on "his behalf." He is the Commander-In-Chief but not a very respected one within the armed forces I am told. The military is apolitical and has more than a few regulations and restrictions about a member becoming politically involved, but every service person does have the right to their opinion. It is a microcosm of society as we know it with its own set of rules.
The people who serve this nation throughout all uniformed services aren't "fighting on his behalf." They are supporting and defending the Constitution of the United States of America. They are fighting to maintain the very freedoms that this administration seems intent on stifling. They swear no allegiance to a particular President no matter what his, or her, name is. Somehow it always appears that when Obama speaks it somehow becomes all about him. I've written previously about Obama's narcissistic personality disorder and it doesn't seem fitting that the President of this nation is a classic case.
Our fighting force isn't out there doing what they are told to do, when they are told to do it and how it needs to be done for Obama's personal benefit, nor on his behalf. He has never in his life walked that walk. If he had he might actually realize what those people are out there fighting for. Again, Barak Hussein Obama, it isn't all about you.
There Is Stupid Then There Is You
I can only imagine how many "face palms" military leaders around the world did when they heard him utter those words. I seem to assume that position every time he opens his mouth anymore. His constant pandering for votes amazes me.
If you listen to his entire interview you will see exactly what I am talking about. His "Christian values?" I've actually read the Bible several times and doubt he has ever read it. He seems to infer that Jesus Christ condoned homosexuality. That's a stretch to "love your brother and your sister." He could have saved the "on my behalf" statement because as a warrior I can tell you that not one of those people is doing their duty to God and their country because of him. They believe in things he has cast aside.
