David Allen Gore’s Execution Set for April 12, 2012

David Allen Gore’s Execution Set for April 12, 2012

David Allen Gore’s death will finally bring an end to this horrific murderer’s life. In the 25 plus years Mr. Gore has spent on death row he has sensationalized his murderous rampage and bragged bout being a cannibal. He has never once showed remorse or regret for his victims. He has lived well with three hots, a cot and better medical and dental then most people have today and all at the expense of the state of Florida. He has been a predator and a leech in society. He has never thought of anyone but himself and his grandeur which by definition makes his a sociopath.

As an Old Guard Republican I am pro death penalty but with a great deal of caution as I realize how toxic a wrongful execution could be to the criminal justice system and capital punishment. So it is rare if not extraordinary that I would even write about the execution of an inmate especially one in a Florida prison. David Allen Gore is the exception to this rule. He is a highly organized intelligent killer who has not shown an ounce of remorse for the murders he committed. And there were eye witnesses. And I have already revealed I knew his victims and the eye witnesses. There is absolutely no doubt David Allen Gore murdered Lynn Elliot a personal childhood friend of mine. There is no doubt he tortured, mutilated, raped and murdered all of the women he has been convicted.

I am critical of Rick Scott but he did manage to get this one right as he signed the writ of execution for April 12, 2012 in which David Allen Gore will be put to death. His cousin Mr. Waterfield will also be executed on that day as well. There has only been one other killer which I was glad was being executed and that was Ted Bundy. In Tallahassee we all celebrated at The Pub which was FSU’s local bar. We had Bundy Fingers which were fried Alligator and Bundy Toes which were French fries. The Pub was also the bar from which Ted Bundy met his victims. So it seemed quite appropriate that we celebrate the death of Ted Bundy at The Pub.

I have no idea how I will celebrate the death of David Allen Gore. It will only be the second death I have ever celebrated in my life but it is time. And again I am not a person who would readily celebrate the death of another person let alone an execution of a criminal. But David Allen Gore took a childhood friend of mine and a bit of my innocence when he murdered my friend so many years ago. And I will personally be relieved when he is dead. There can never be justice for Gore’s victims. The dead don’t care for revenge. But the fact that Gore was kept alive at the taxpayers’ and the state of Florida’s expense for the better part of a quarter of a century has been an atrocity.

Honestly, and perhaps this is my grief over what Gore has done summoned back up again during this execution, I am sad that old sparky isn’t still in operation. Old sparky would sometimes take several rounds of electrocution to kill the inmate. Sometimes old sparky would catch the fire. Too bad old sparky will not be around for David Allen Gore’s execution. No matter how he meets his end it will still be a far more humane ending then he allowed his victims but it will finally be over.

April 12, 2012 Celebrating A New Beginning

Instead of celebrating the death of David Allen Gore on April 12, 2012, I will celebrate the life of my friend who he murdered. I will remember her and miss the life she could have had if she had not been murdered by Gore. I will remember Gore’s victims especially Lynn Elliot. My thoughts and prayers will be with the families of these victims and not with David Allen Gore who has had far more time, attention and humanity then he has ever shown. But if you so chose to eat Gore Goodies all fried up and have a celebration on April 12, 2012, bon appetite!!

Special Thank You

For all those readers who contacted the Governor's office and petitioned for David Allen Gore's Writ of Execution, we did it and Thank you!!

I am sorry for your pain and for your loss. I hope this helps to bring you some closure. I follow crime in FL quite a bit, especially "scum" like this. It is a shame this jerk has been sitting on death row for 30 years.

As you probably know, Oba Chandler was executed last year. This guy really touched a nerve with me. Glad he is gone as well!

BTW: Love your photo of Old Sparky. Too bad they retired him!

Blessings to you!

Grr...I don't know what happened, but I left two lengthy comments on each of the two hubs you suggested. I enjoyed them thoroughly, but the comments are nowhere to be found. Nonetheless, thanks for sharing. Voted them both up and interesting!

That happens to me too Hub Tub. Sorry I know it can be very frustrating. John Douglas, an very famous FBI profiler would tell you that there is no such thing as a serial killer who isn't sexually dsyfunctional. David Allen Gore would be included in this model.

In the instance of juvenille sex offenders, if caught early enough, they would have a chance at complete rehabiltation but they way the system is set up now they are ignored until they are adults and their crimes are so serious they can never be redeemed.

I am following you now so if you write an article on the subject I will read it as I would be very interested to read your thoughts on the subject even if they were unavailable this morning.

My ads have been disabled on all my criminal justice hubs so I am not paid for the revenue produced by those hubs. Therefore I felt it was alright to recommended them to you as it was not a self soliticiation in which I was paid.

Remember April 12, 2012 is a day about the victims and the families. So celebrate their lives and not the death of this guy. Sadly, in Florida you have to understand the criminals in order to survive amongst them. You know this as you are a Floridian.

Cheers my new friend. I look forward to reading your thoughts on the subject!!

It looks like my comments re-surfaced...yay!

I just might contemplate writing some criminal justice articles, as I do have a passion for following crime stories. I will keep you posted if I do.

I will be marking 4/12/12 on my calendar, in celebration of life for the victims and families, and for you, my friend. Take care!

I am so glad your article resurface Hub Tub!

Thanks for celebrating the day with me as David Allen Gore has been a plague and a disease on society for a very long time. It is time we are all emancupated from Mr. Gore's heinous crimes. It is time the victims families find justice and it is now time for all of us to survive this.

I am following you so I will watch for your criminal justice articles. I look forward to reading your work.

Thanks for reading, celebrating, commenting and finaly for being my friend through this execution. The execution will never make what happened right but atleast it will put an end to David Allen Gore's life and his ability to sensationalize these murders which he did at every opportunity

Cheers Mate!!

JT, as conservatives we might not celebrate his death but be relieved he no longer has any chance of reentering society. I say this to the both of us, because we must remember that our job is to forgive and pray for the mentaly tormented..........revenge is Gods!

Thanks for the advice American Romance but I will be thinking of my dear friend and her family who are well deserving of my thoughts, prayers and consideration. I don't have to forgive this person for doing the unspeakable to my childhood friend and then bragging about it on the internet. THere were eye witnesses and there is no doubt about this persons guilt or is that he tortured her. He has bragged about cannibalizing his victims. Your religion may require you to forgive him but mine does not of me. this guy can burn in hell.

One April 12, 2012, I will be thinking of my friend and her family finally getting the rest and peace they deserve. Sorry I have such strong opinions about this but my childhood friend was murdered.

Please celebrate my friend's life on April 12 and all the things she missed out one because of this murderer.

Cheers!!

In my view, no doubt a minority opinion, any hating or dishonoring of any human being, for whatever reason and whatever good may be thought to result, primarily serves to demean the dearest projects of humanity, and it does harm to the perennial quest, so often cited as one shared by all civilized peoples, for a better world. At any rate, I am by no means the first person to express such an idea.

"No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main. If a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as well as if a manor of thy friend's or of thine own were.

"Any man's death diminishes me because I am involved in mankind, and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee."

John Donne, Meditation 17 (1623-24)

Hi Max,

In almost all instances I agree with you and therefore ask the life of my murdered friend be celebrated on that day instead of the death of her serial killer.

My childhood flew out the door when my friend was raped, tortured and murdered at the age of 17. Civilization failed that day and all I am asking is that the victims be remebered on the day of David Allen Gore's execution. I think remembering his victims is to revive civilization in a very uncivilized ordeal.

But I always respect your right to disagree with me.

Thanks for reading and commenting.

Cheers!!

JT, just to be clear I never said I held it against you. I too want scum like this to suffer, but I have to remind myself that God wants us to forgive...........maybe that is the reason we don't take up arms against the liberals, or the reason the Jews simply walked into the gas chambers without a fight?

JT Walters profile image

JT Walters 4 years ago from Florida Author

American Romance,

I doubt I will ever be able to forgive murdering my friend but there is no comparison between a murder and a liberal. Crime and politics do go hand in hand but rapng, torturing and murdering my childhood friend is completely unforgiveable.

But if wish to forgive by all means do so. I just will never and on April 12, 2012, I will remember my friend.

I might have to debate you some time on the comparison between liberals and murderers!..........but this isn't the place. I hope you have a great day and that your heart is in a better place knowing he has recieved his punishment.

Thanks and it would probably make a good hub. I like liberals as they have a diversity of opinions. Not all liberals are bad just like not all old guard republicans are bad.

Please remember my friend and not her murderer on the day of his execution.

Hi, JT a touch of the macabre, is it? I was living in Colorado and the sensation surrounding Mr. Ted Bundy's appointment with 'old sparky' was the 'buzz' 1989? He had committed a murder or two in Colorado years ago. Bundy was executed on a Friday and I remember that because the crowds were chanting "Fryday". Not funny , but this guy was an arrogant, pompous creep whose own mother would not miss him.

Looks like it is time for David Gore check out of the hotel, all the way out, if you know what I mean....

He, too, has a date with 'ole sparky' and we don't want to be late.

I am so sorry to hear that the savagery of this man's life has touched yours.

While being liberal and concerned about the abuse in the application of the death penalty, I just have to acknowlege that some people are so heinous in their crimes that the death penalty is warranted, as in this case and that of Bundy.

Great eye opener for Sunday morning, Cred2

I am not big on the death penalty. this case just validates the use of it. It will be over soom.

Gore will be departing soon and thanks for reading and providing supportive words.

Have a great one.

I've longed for Gore's execution since I was a teenager but now when it appears as if it might actually happen I am left utterly unfulfilled. If the execution goes forward there will be no comfort, only numbness. There will be no vengeance; 28 intervening years have robbed us of that. There will be no closure, only families still left trying to deal with the wreckage Gore has caused. I just want it over.

HI Ricky,

I think that empty feeling is what Gore and his cousin tok from us which were six wonderful people. As for Gore's passing I think it atleast gives those of us who have had to endure his heinous horrific crimes and lost friends and family a hint of justice. I agree he should have been executed long ago but I guess he was an interesting psychological study. Gore and his cousin's death will never equal the the loss of those six beautiful women some of which were children. But for those victims who survived it will give them some peace. I know I will personally be glad.

End Gore and Family Chapter.

Thanks for reading and commenting.

Hi Scott,

I couldn't agree more with you it is time for all the victims to be free of Gore and Waterfield. Thanks for keeping me up to date.

Regards,

trussell84 4 years ago

I think this is a touchy subject to all involed. Although I agree you should pay for your mistakes, taking one life will not bring back another. It will just be one more mother losing a son. 2 sons losing a father, and so on. Also I would ask you have all your facts. For one, Mr Waterfield is not set for execution as he got life sentence, not death. God Bless You.

trussell84 4 years ago

Funny when someone posts facts, you remove them because it would then incriminate your journalism attempt here.

JT Walters profile image

JT Walters 4 years ago from Florida Author

trussell84,

Really, I have my facts wrong? I don't think so if you read the date and time the article was written the facts were correct. As for the parents of those executed and their children...you think they should live with the shame and horror of what their family member did one more day? And what about the victims? What are you pro murder and serial killing.

As for sensoring my hubs, I allow everyone to have a voice even when they are completely insulting, incorrect, criminal and stupid. It reflects more on them then it does on me. So I can assure you I approved your comments.

Do me and everyone on here a favor; don't write about things you read on the internet only. I knew his victims and his survivors and I know the people who witnessed him murdering Lynn Elliot in cold blood as she ran naked (after being tortured and raped) in broad daylight down a drive way to save the other girl in the house. Lynn knew she would be murdered but it would call enough attention that the police would be involved. Waterfield also has survivors who need to be set free of this man. God knows the state of Florida should not have to pay for them one more day when hard working, honest, decent people are in soup lines.

Too bad you don't pray for the families and the victims who have been suffering all these years. Because realy this is about the victims and not the criminals. The waved all their rights the minute they murdered, raped, tortured and cannibalized. When you ignore another person's right to live you lose your right to life!!!!

It is about the victims and justice has come far too late and too long.

JT

PS

Be prepared because you accussed me or so many outlandish things as censoring and poor journalistic intengrity you maybe censored in the future. You haven't lived through this. You don't know what you are writing about.

trussell84 4 years ago

I do think of the victims, and pray for them. I'm not saying he shouldn't pay for what he did. I honestly do. All I was saying is taking one life wil not bring back another, and that the whole situation is sad because regardless of what he did he is still someones son, father, etc. and today they will be losing him. You can't control what your kids do. Nobody can. My heart goes out to all those who are and will be hurt by this. Even the victims who have had to live with the hurt all these years. As far as facts, your statement about Fred was wrong. I know that for a fact he is erving life sentence, not being executed. I'm closer to this whole situation than you know.

JT Walters profile image

JT Walters 4 years ago from Florida Author

trussle84,

Fred Waterfield is only a carton of cigarettes away from meeting his end. Thank you tobacco companies.

I don't think it is sad for Gore's family. Let me tell you why.

Here are the things he will receive he denied his victims.

1) A last meal

2) Civilized treatment

3) Allowed to be dressed while he is executed.

4) No Torture

5) Last rights.

6) A full life which he denied his victims at taxpayer expense no less.

7) One trial after another and a defense. Lynn Elliot had none.

8) Time to get his affairs in order.

9) Time to apologize for what he has done which he has never.

10) Time to say goodbye to his family. His victims had none.

Gore had far more then he ever allowed his victims and so did his family while the victims families never received any of these rights. Despite his absolute guilt he was granted all the civilities.

I relied on an inside source so I will not be surprised if Waterfield isn't far behind.

But Gore's family have had 30 long years to adjust to the fact Gore committed this crime and will be executed. They have been granted one hearing after another. And if you are really close to this as you say you would know that the scales have been so far unbalanced in Gore's favor for the last 30 years that it is now time for their to be justice.

Gore has never even expressed remorse. Remember this all started with him trying to make a buck selling books about sensationalizing these heinous murders.

It is no longer about Gore. He has had more than a charmed life considering the things he has done. Today is about the victims. And I agree Gore victimized his own family but that is just another reason for Gore to be executed.

Today is about the victims...all of them. I will only be able to forgive Gore when he is dead. And hopefully that will be soon.

Cheers!

JT
