Dopes And Chains

Just Imagine...

Close your eyes and just imagine that you are chained to a large money munching monster like the present federal government and can't get away. Right now you are faced with the choice of flight. Four more years of Barack Obama's European style socialism movement and your choice will be sealed for you. No kidding about it.

Then imagine that a comment about "chains" being made before a predominantly black audience was made by a conservative of any stripe, much less a current Vice President, and the ensuing Lame Stream Media stampede to crucify that individual for making remarks with a "racist overtone." Joe Biden said what he said, in the manner he said it and the implications are there for intelligent, thinking people to see. What I sensed was a continuing class warfare crusade by the administration that was going to unite this nation. They were going to do that until it became apparent that they were in over their heads and had a dismal record to run on.

The Obama/Biden Chains... AKA The Federal Deficit

What Biden failed to mention was the virtual debtor's prison (who really needs chains?) that Obama is intent on foisting on future generations. Is that "change" you can believe in? Imagine that we're soon to be "chained" to a $16 trillion national debt. No need to use your imagination because it's about to happen and will coincide with the Republican National Convention. That's about a $5.5 trillion dollar increase, in under 4 years in office, that has been brought upon the heads of those of us who pay taxes.

Over the past few years I have advised people to actually sit down with their heirs and try to explain how it's okay to spend money this nation doesn't have and leave that debt to others, some of them not even born yet, as if it isn't our present responsibility. I'm still waiting for anyone to tell me even how to approach the subject with any semblance of sanity. I've had a few "that's a dopey idea" comments and in my mind only dopes would think that is the way to run a country, much less a business. If you attempted to do what I suggest then most people would have a tendency to think you're a dope and maybe give a rope. Kind of the rope-a-dope approach to thinking.

The mixing of offensive words and a particular message seems to be more than a coincidence. Y'all should understand what I mean by this time. Biden is from Delaware, not the south where "y'all' is quite common in our vocabulary. According to Stephanie Cutter, one of Obama's deputy campaign managers, came out immediately and confirmed that Obama really had no problem with Biden using a bad black dialect to warn a largely black audience in a predominantly black district that "they're going to put y'all back in chains." Of course, at first Obama had no problem with it as he does the same thing quite frequently himself.

Here's the video so you can put things in your own perspective.

The Whine House's explanation, Obama included, seems to be a broken record about how to much attention is being paid to actual words rather than searching for the hidden meaning and context of those very words. Code is code folks and always will be. Obama's defense of Biden is hilarious really as Biden isn't exactly a mental giant in politics. You see fellow Americans we're just too stupid not to understand the nuiances that surround the speeches continually being used by Team Obama to further their war on anything and everything they disagree with. It must be a miserable position to be in not to be able to run on your record. But then again, Obama put himself in that very position. You usually reap what you sow. He naver learned that evidently.

I'm white and I clearly understand the metaphor that Biden used. Here's what Arthur Davis, a black former Congressman who moved to Virginia from Louisiana, had to say about the incident.

Divisive Language Is Just That...

Or maybe the black former Govenor of Virginia, Douglas Wilder, has it wrong too?

In fact Wall Street has never had chains on anyone of any color. As citizens we all have the ability to pick and choose who we do business with, do we not? Here's what I suggest if things need to be unchained.

1) Unchain the excessive regulations this administration has passed, usually through executive orders and not legislation, that is hampering the free market system.

2) Unchain the uncertainty this administration has created for businesses with the passage of Obamacare and its failure to understand the taxes and what raising them wroughts upon a free enterprise system.

3) Unchain the $716 billion that Obamacare is stealing from the Medicare system in order to fianance Obamacare and stop lying about the very fact that it was done. It's right there in the bill if you read it and also in a recent CBO report.

What needs to be "chained" is this negative campaign and diversion from the real issues that the nation needs to address. It's about the economy Stupid. I love it when something Bill Clinton used comes back to bite the Democratic Party. I have the leaisure of being one of those swing voters called an Indpendent and Clinton himself sealed the deal on that political move on my part.

I'm a bit weary of having my intelligence insulted by this administration by its questioining my capacity to understand the English language and its usage. Of course we didn't understand what Obama said about "you didn't build that." Or maybe his telling the nation that "the private sector is doing fine." That was taken out of context too according to the spin masters of the Lame Stream Media.

Not being a dope and voting for Obama in the first place, it's past time that the chains that were placed upon this nation, you and all concerned Americans should have about our way of life are cast off. That means holding Obama to his word.

Obama had his chance and blew it. So lets stop the crap that we all see going on and get back to the issues that face the nation. Unchain this nation and let it do what it does best. Unchain "We, the People..." from the monster the federal government has turned into rather than what the US Constitution says it role should be.

No matter what they say or do the Blacks of this country will never find their way out of Uncle Sam's Cabin; they have been brainwashed for the past 50 years and there's no way to break through the shroud of deciet to convince them otherwise!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately we have an ever-growing sector of people in this country who actually believe that the government can give them something free. Somehow they believe that will continue no matter how dire our financial status becomes. The chains Obama has waiting for us are the invisible kind held in place by the pressures of growing debt and its impact on both the value of money and economic stagnation....it is the fly in the oinment of socialism staring you straight in the face and still people see no danger in it. Illiteracy takes many forms even among the educated. ~WB

The two people interviewed in the videos you embedded knew exactly what was happening. Unfortunately, many still will give this administration a free pass. One good thing about this is that the mainstream media can no longer protect BO and team, no matter how hard they try.

Just think, future birth certificates will now be two page documents. The first page will include the usual information regarding mother, father, doctor, date and time of birth, hospital and so forth. The second page will be an itemized bill showing how much this new born currently owes to pay off his or her share of the countries debt.

It is really interesting how these idiots can say anything they want in campaign rallies, then later say, "I didn't mean that the way it sounded," and all is well.

It will also be interesting to see how many more ways they can devise to further divided the people of this country. It is very apparent that this division of the people is a planned program that is being pushed hard. The saying "United we stand, divided we fall" is being put to the test with the goal being to divide as much as possible.

Frog et al,

I'm not going to say that a certain section of people that have a (D) in back of their name- not all of them are Dumbocrats but far too many are still drinking his coolaid- or maybe they just don't want to admit THEY WERE WRONG about this snake oil Salesman- who I believe the only thing that is real about him is his ears because "who would purposely fake ears like that). Everything he has done is purposefully- he has done all this by design-

As always - right to the point your Royalfulness.

I sincerely hope that any and all voters take into consideration the fact that should anything happen to Obama (God forbid) Joe would be running the country.

That's more frightening than obummer.

Nice little package you put together FP; tells a compelling story that we better pay attention to.

Frankly I hope Obama and Biden keep stepping on their organs as they have been lately. You know, "you didn't build your own business" crap. Maybe it will ensure we have a change in November. They can't help but do these things because they can't talk about their "record." Record, what record? The direction that is going to kill this country as we know it if folks don't wake up.

The 'chains' comment was over the top. If I was a believer in coincidence I'd believe the timing of our local news is a pure coincidence.

Here in Fredericksburg, VA the news of the day is that a judge has dismissed the bankruptcy case for our local Slavery Museum. It seems an anonymous donor is going to pay the tax bill owed to the City of Fredericksburg. The Slavery Museum will stay.

I hope old Joe continues to run his mouth. As for Obama he is so inept as a man and as a president. I can hardly bring myself to call him president. He is not worthy of the job and he really needs to go away.

Great hub, and yes I can see Nov. from my house.

Biden knows that most of the democrats he was talking to think that the republican party was connected to slave ownership, when in fact the republican party of 1854 was called the anti slavery party and the democrats were the ones who owned slaves.

Its what the party does.

They spin stores to obscure facts.

By making that crazy statement I believe he intended to stir fear and resentment toward the republican party in regards to racism. It certainly would not be the first time.

Wouldn't it be refreshing if a Political Candidate stood before us, identified a major problem, and told us exactly how they were going to fix it, with details. But no, the common practice is to stir the pot of hatred and further divide the country. I am really tired of this practice, and it makes it difficult to respect even the good guys in the race.

@Old Poolman...Sorry to grab your air Jim....but just a thought to Mike....How can Romney or anyone stay on point when they are being accused of absurdities? I really think he needs to just make a blanket statement that he will not long respond to accusations but will continue to address the issues. The Obama camp has nothing to run with except distraction and lies and they don't mind employing either one if it accomplishes the purpose. Too many people are hung up on what they see as Romney's shortcomings....this election is not about Romney...it's about getting Obama out of our house! On that basis, I would vote for a lot of people who have shortcomings before I will support a man trying to do a socialist number on America. WB

I would too Wayne. There has to be a way to prove those lies, are nothing but lies. Of course some will refuse to believe the truth no matter how well it is presented. I suspect we are only seeing the bare beginning of the personal attacks and smear campaign against Romney.

Great Hub, Frog! But you didn't do it yourself, right? You had help... someone else made it possible. In a pigs eye.

In 1958 W. Cleon Skousen, an FBI agent with many years experience in investigating Communist infiltration into American government, wrote a book called "The Naked Communist". In that book, among other things, Skousen laid out 45 Communist "goals" for the take-over of the United States of America (in their quest for world domination). In 2011, James C. Bowers, father of Congressman Curtis Bowers (IA) who produced a DVD documentary called "Agenda: Grinding America Down", wrote a book called "The Naked Truth" that revisited Skousen's 45 goals in light of today's situation. Amazingly (or, given the fact that America has been asleep for 50 years while Communist infiltrators and their useful idiots have made wet toilet paper out of our American Constitution and Bill of Rights, not so amazingly) they have accomplished 44 of those goals. Now, as intuitive as Skousen was, he mentioned nothing about the central banking angle, which was part of the Communist Manifesto. But nearly everything (44/45) he did predict has come to pass. I highly recommend both books and the DVD if you've not already read or seen them.

My point is this: one of the ways the Communists get things done is by confusing issues by changing meanings of words, then turning them on their opponents and detractors. However, it seems that, finally, people are beginning to see through the shell game.

My other point is this: Obama isn't the only problem. He's just the head of the snake. This snake has very special powers, though. This snake can grow a new head if his current one is severed. That's because the regenerative powers of this snake's body, let's call it an invaded Congress, can manufacture another one on demand. So, this snake needs to go through some serious therapy to rid it of the rabies that pains it from within... and all within its purview. Participate just as vigorously in local and state races as in this Presidential election. Certainly our country needs a "real" President; but equally as important, we need a "real" Congress that can legislate us out of the mess the current occupant and his Communist cronies have brought upon us.

Totally agree. I was just telling a friend last night that it looks like they're trying to incite riots, specifically because they know they know they can't get re-elected. I guess there will always be people who feel that they have to cheat to accomplish things.

Biden's gaffes are legion, and nothing that comes out of his mouth would surprise me anymore. My bigger concern is policy over the next four years if Obama stays in office. He'll ratchet things up on the "socialism front" and even higher spending because he no longer has to worry about reelection. "Obama unchained" is a very dangerous thing.

"Unchain My Heart"! Joe Cocker and Ray Charles both did a great job with this. that was the first thing I thought of after I read the first 'unchain' in your hub.

Super information and research (as usual) and excellent composition. Huh, I sound like an English teacher grading an essay. Didn't mean for it to come out that way.

Just keep up the awesome work. We need you now more than ever!

Biden is a fool. I have to say that at this point the only votes Obama can count on is from welfare recipients and illegal aliens. They are the only ones with something to gain from his election. Up interesting, useful and awesome.

Excellent points, any time the government injects itself in the private sector- problems always ensue- its a shame poeple can't learn from the past!

I believe that the economy only reflects an even deeper problem in this country and that is spiritual. The nation has turned its back on Christ and Christian principles and now looks to the government to solve thier problems!
