Downer Debbie

A Secret Weapon?

This woman is the gift that keeps on giving. If I were the head of the Democratic Party, which I'm glad I'm not, I'd have to say, "Get this woman out of here!" Who? Debbie Wasserman-Schultz is who. This appears to be a secret weapon that the DNC has bestowed upon the RNC and she does appear to be lethal. Lethal to the Democrats that is.

I had a little bit of fun on her behalf this past week, first in the new feature I created called "Your Week In Review" and then up she popped again with her race baiting remark which I found more than a bit offense.  Those links can be found at the bottom in case you missed them.

I like a good political ad.  How about you?  This one is jazzy little clip and makes you wanna snap your fingers in unison.  It's clever because it's a take off the SNL series (clip posted at the end) about Downer Debbie.  It has the finesse of the World Wrestling Federation with lines like:

"She's got all the grace of a punch in the face -- She's a double-down Debbie Downer.

As I covered her I thought maybe she's shot up but that will never be the case so I reckon I'll get writer's cramp until someone throws a muzzle on the woman.  That may be the only way to silence someone this outrageous.  Lets go to the video!

Catchy Littlle Tune

Now if nothing else, did that turn your frown upside down? I ran across that then I kept reading here and there and who pops up again? You guessed it. You sly dog you!

The headline that caught my attention was "Wasserman Schultz claims "Obamacare" violates House rules." Not only does it violate House rules but it violates the US Constitution so I was anxious to take a look at what the humma-humma with Downer Debbie was this time. Obamacare after all is the one piece of legislation that is Obama's pride and joy. Socialists are like that you know. But according to Debbie calling it "Obamacare" is a no-no! Not only did she get her panties in a wad when another Representative, who had the floor, called it what it is -Obamacare - but she went on to be here usual rude transplanted Yankee self.

Watch this clip now if you please.

Such Righteous Indignation

I'm a bit puzzled as this was her question, "Is it a violation of the House rule wherein members are not permitted to make disparaging references to the President of the United States?" Holy smokes! That's the Prez's signature piece of legislation that he devoted countless months to instead of concentrating on job creation and she doesn't want his name associated with it?

The look the Chair gave her is a classic. Kinda like the - "Are you nuts?" - sort of look but he already knew that one flew over the coo-coo's nest long ago. It was a "hypothetical" and how does one rule on that? With this woman on the national scene as the DNC Chairwoman maybe she'll do more damage to the Democrat's credibility than Whiny Weiner who is slow slinking off the scene in abject embarrassment.

So I close with a SNL segment of Debbie Downer.  This very well could be Wasserman Schultz's Thanksgiving Dinner chatter.  NBC has it protected so you'll have to use the link to watch it.  What a DOWNER!  But it is hilarious!!!

what in the heck is this broad smoking? i think what she is saying is the liar in chief doesn't want his name attached to this piece of sh$%^&*t legislation.

Frog,

While it's clear that Senate rules were violated in regard to OblabberCare (the cloture level was illegally reduced by Obama's improperly designating the HC Act as a budget resolution), DD may be correct that House rules were violated too. It has surfaced that the text of the HC Act contains two funding provisions. San Fran Nan did not give the House enough time to read the bill before having to vote on it. Since the House has jurisdiction over funding, it's possible that the absence of substantive informed consent in regard to the two embedded funding provisions may have violated House rules.

Democrat Debbie is the best thing that ever happened to the ... Republican party. The longer she proclaims her ridiculous rants, the sooner that voters will wake up and realize what a fool she is and refuse to support Dems at the polls.

caltex - I don't have the woman shutting up any time soon. She's now the Chairwoman of the DNC. One of the dumbest moves by the Dems but good for the Republicans.

Don't forget, Frog, the Wassermann test or Wassermann reaction is an antibody test for syphilis. Looks to me like the DNC has a raging infection.

Keep it up.

The more you focus on this instead of how people are waking up to the GOP/Tea Party vision of 'USA Inc'; an America of, by and for the Koch Brother's the better for the Dems.

But you just keep letting Palin and Bachmann provide and endless supply of gaffes and drink that corporate tea. . .

TPC,

Your party is creating the distractions and I'm loving it. But believe this. I always have my eye on the 8 ball.

You have a belief system that the majority of Americans don't have. Do I particularly care what a left wing loon thinks? Not in the least.

Obama will throw you under the bus so fast that you wouldn't know what hit you. It's time for you to realize the gravity of the situation that this nation is facing. We presently have a spineless jellyfish who isn't a leader trying to lead this nation. He, and people like the idiot this article is referencing, is a menace.

Do I care if you believe that? Not in the least. But I'll tell you this, come crash a Tea Party. That's a personal invite. Otherwise, slink off with your nonsense and let other people have the ability to have an adult conversation.

Get my drift son?

Froggy, I really hate to say what I'm about to. I am embarrassed by her and all Jews of her ilk. Yes I am also Jewish. Most Jewish politicians are from big cities, Democrat's and very Liberal or Progressive.

I prefer Eric Cantor. and even Joe Lieberman. Do I sound like I'm prejudied? I understand their upbringing, thinking and what they were taught. My people are taught to help everyone, there are times that cannot be done. Wasserman and A Weiner are our two worst examples, but many of us have changed. Those two are clowns, and I do love my people! I think I said too much. H

Harvey - I think you need to say what you feel. Obama has thrown Israel under the bus and he did so from the get go. I expected that he would based upon his Muslim upbringing. You are a product of your upbringing and he was parented by Muslim Marxists.

There is no excuse for Debbie Downer. I'd like to ask her point blank about his turning his back on one of the strongest allies we ever will have in the Mideast. I can just imagine her defense of something that intolerable.

Great comments and I understand exactly what you meant.

Somehow your assertion didn't play out in the last election. The Tea Party played a key role in taking back the House.

As far as your assertion that the Tea Party is manipulating folks ... go ahead and tell me the Demorat party does not manipulate votes; you know unions, ACORN, Latinos, illegals, etc.

TFTP - TPC knows enough about the TPM to fill a thimble. He actually believes, or else fantasizes, that a grass roots mocement is associated with coriporate America.

Instead of beating his gums, he might try doing some research. Some people are hopeless though so I don't expect too mch from him in the way of intelligence. He reads the Huff & Puff and believes that left wing nonsense.

The fact is that he fear the TPM and rightfully so. It is all about returning this nation to adherence to the US Constitution and that frightens most left wingers.

But my invitation to him to come to a Tea Party and crash it will always be an open invitation. He doesn't have the balls to do more than wag his gums.

Just to remind those who like to go off topic and stay there. I moderate my Hubs and don't put up with nonsense.

Remain on topic. Get my drift?

TPC,

Where do you get the crazy idea that the TPM is a corporate shill? Corporations and all the Chambers of Commerce HATE the TPM. TPM candidates shun special interest money, and fight for free markets, which means AGAINST business bennies like government subsidies, earmarks, non-retaliatory protective tariffs, tax loopholes, etc. I admit that it's also true that the TPM is against monopoly unionization (forced membership in unions). Basically, the business plank of the TPM is free markets. The TPM doesn't favor business over labor, or vice versa. It basically wants government out of the way, so product and labor pricing can be a function of supply and demand. This maximizes the efficiency of capital and labor allocation, and thus maximizes GNP. What's wrong with that?

tom - TPC has a form of Adult Attention Deficit Disorder I can't quite put my finger on. This Hub is about Waaserman-Schultz and nobody else.

To constantly come on a Hub that isn't related to what he wants to discuss is a bit over the edge. Alinsky would be proud of him. Rather than contribute, or rebut the subject, he prefers to demonize something, or someone, who isn't the subject of the conversation in the first place.

I put my foot down on that sort of "debate" and don't care whether someone likes it or not. It is unnecessary.
