Dump the Elites

Blu is at the Table

Good Morning, Breakfastpoppers. Today is Monday, June 27, 2016. Our graceful friend, Blu, is at the breakfast table this morning. Blu is feeling lighter than air because Britain has chosen to decide their own destiny. Americans are trying to do the same, but the pushback is crippling. Blu has asked for the pleasure of your company this morning. She has prepared blueberry pancakes and fresh homemade preserves. I will be serving Irish coffees to liven up the meal. We hope to see you soon.

Handcuffing America

Thank you so much for coming to the table this morning. Britan's departure from the EU signals a monumental change in how the average citizen views their rights and freedoms. The Brits chose to exit from the EU in order to control their own destiny. They were sick and tired of having their fate and future decided by strangers in Brussels. The quality of their lives was deteriorating in the face of ever increasing regulations foisted upon them. Their borders were porous, their identity in danger of elimination and their safety up for grabs. The voters asserted themselves and said, "Dump the EU." I may only be a butterfly, but my gut tells me that they saved themselves from the brink of extinction. It is not surprising that the sore losers want a do over. I doubt any such thing will occur, but the inability for losers to accept results is becoming a real problem, both here and abroad. Our nation is going through a major change as well. The upstart, non-politician Donald Trump, is making waves and reminding people that they run the show. The elites in Washington are getting nervous and nasty and things are about to get dicier.

Source

We Reject You

The Brits basically rejected the global view of the world. President Obama, Hillary Clinton, John Kerry and so many others embrace this image of a world without borders, differences or alliances. In my humble opinion, what they are envisioning is impossible. We are not all the same. Inevitably, one nation, two or three will flex their muscles and change everything. Although President Obama despises the idea of America as an exceptional nation, we are special. We need to return to our values. We need to reject the left's view that it is their way or the highway. We need to apply common sense solutions to current problems. We need to be realistic about what we are facing. The Brits did it, and we must to, as well. That is what the Donald Trump movement is all about. The people of this nation have spoken. The elites do not have the right to ignore our voice and change things around. I am appalled at the behavior of Romney and Ryan, and so many others. They have no right to turn the tables on the voters. We have spoken and that is that!

The Right of Survival

We have a right to protect our borders. We have a right to keep our loved ones safe. It is in our self interest to make sure we are building a strong defense. We have allies who we must support. We do not need to meld into a one world view, because that view will never represent who we are as a nation. We can retain our sovereignty and achieve success as a nation. In fact, that is the only road to success. President Obama has told us and the world that we are nothing special. He's wrong and now is the time to prove it. Whether Donald Trump is the ideal candidate remains to be seen, but Hillary Clinton is a known disaster for our nation. I like the idea of shutting out the political animal hacks that run the nation. They are in it for themselves and I am ready to cut them loose. We would be better off without the Obamas, Clintons, Pelosis, Reeds, Ryans and Romneys. We need a fresh start and a new approach to governing. Government should be small and responsive. We simply can't allow Hillary to step into the White House. I believe we have to take a chance on Trump. The Brits have the right idea. They want to take their nation back. Let's do the same.

Don't tie me down

I have places to go

I must get around....

Although I agree 100% with you Blu, I am concerned for you. Your expectations are awful high. When you say common sense solutions I worry. Somehow that's the one thing we get wrong time and time again. It seems their is no common sense.

I hope this shift does wake America up, because we were the great nation and we really need to pull it back in, regroup and stand strong!

pop & blu.....You are correct. You make perfect sense and speak for the sane, intelligent and concerned American people. I will remain hopeful to the very end when we finally know who will lead us for at least the next 4 years. If the outcome is not as we know it must be, what we will face is too gruesome and destructive to imagine.

Then it will become a matter of dire emergency and strong action by WE, the people will be inevitable. What, when and how will be the only questions left.

Good Morning Jennifer,

I try to be an optimist in the face of great uncertainty. I have nothing to lose except Hillary! See you at the Inn. I'll save you a seat.

Good Morning fp,

Events are starting to remind me of the American Revolution. We need to free ourselves from those who believe that we are too stupid to rule ourselves. See you at the Inn.

I like to start my Mondays with a rousing scream at the establishment...with Pop! Although it is for different reasons than you stated. I am all for Britain raising the middle finger to the EU. They should have done it long ago.

Have a great day, Pop!

Good Morning Patti and Blu.

If nothing else, the election in the UK has many of our incumbent elite politicians shaking in their boots. That combined with how far Trump has been able to come is a wake up call to many.

But looking back at our history would indicate that many changes that have been made were to encourage us to start thinking more like Socialists.

Welfare programs that pay more than a minimum wage job.

99 weeks unemployment insurance.

Free healthcare for many. (We find now it is far from free.)

A trophy for every kid regardless of ability or effort.

TV advertising encouraging people to sign up for food stamps.

Open border with a love one, love all attitude.

Dumb down the education system.

All of these steps added together would indicate a planned effort to Socialize our country. And sadly, it has worked well.

Pop and Blue,

Thanks for your very insightful observations. You correctly point out the analogous situation of current times to the times of the American Revolution. May we have the wisdom and courage to fight it again.

Dear billy,

I'd love to know your reasons. Anyway, we agree, a rousing scream at the establishment feels damn good. I do have a question for you. What happened to book three in the Billy the Kid series? I see 4 on Amazon, but not three.

Dear Mike,

There is no question that Socialism with all its obvious flaws and track record of failure is appealing to far too many people in this nation. If Hillary gets in, the trend will continue. It's the perfect way to make voters grateful. Of course, when the chickens come home to roost, it's all over. See you at the Inn.

I think the UK vote was great because the people had a vehicles to express their belief. However, the UK has similar stupid voters as the US. Some UK voters want a do-over while some could not believe the UK would actually exit the EU. What were they thinking? Hard to tell. My question is how could any reasonably intelligent person vote for Hillary? These morons are going to ruin my life just as they did when they put Obumma in the white house. But, people are stupid. And we suffer bec a use of their stupidity.

breakfastpop profile image

Dear taxlarry,

The "Do-Over" is what the left turns to when they fail to get their way. As far as stupidity is concerned, it is beyond clear to me that the Dems have a huge tolerance for liars. Clinton's disgusting behavior does not bother them at all. See you at the Inn and we'll discuss HP's unwanted reviews.

The Sean Hannity show last night had a piece regarding a new book written by a former Secret Service Agent that disclosed things we didn't know about the Clinton's.

They are just pure evil people in my opinion.

There is a comparison to be made with Britain and the EU with the US Federal Government and the States. In order for us to do the same think as Britain, we would have to secede from the US on a state by state basis.

Like Britain the US Southern States joined the North in bringing the United States back together, but they really didn't want to do it. Even today, there is much resent in the South for the US, especially after taking aim at the Confederate Flag.

Like the EU the US Federal Government is making too many decisions that should be made by the states. After all wasn't the creation of this country based on Uniting the States, and NOT replacing the states with a Central Government.

We would have most likely been called the CGA (Central Government of America). Instead of states we would have Districts. Voting would be done on an En Banc method, as districts would all be the same. Districts would only exist for distribution of government facilities, not for any indigenous specialty. One size fits all.

While I think that secession is too extreme, I can see large populous states like California being divided into four new states. 38 million people is just too big to represent the diversity and the geographical differences.

NY state should be divided into 2 as upstate NY bears no resemblance to NYC and Long Island. The latter has almost as many people as well.

I realize that this will never happen, but if it did what would be so bad about it?

Good morning, Blu and PoP...

I agree that "Dump the Elites" would be a good thing, but how do you go about doing just that..? The French tried that in 1789 and they wound up with Robespierre...

For some human beings power is an aphrodisiac, an avenue that enables control over other humans and their environment... Power is defined as one’s capacity to alter another person’s condition or state of mind by providing or withholding resources such as food, money, knowledge, and affection...or administering punishments, such as physical harm, job termination, or social ostracism...This is what the "Elites" crave and will do anything to achieve...

Elites like Queens Victoria and Elizabeth 1st, Kings Edward 1st, Frederick the Great, and Augustus Caesar, Abraham Lincoln, and many more used power for good and not self-serving as most of the world's elites now practice...I'm reminded of Frederick's quote "The crown in simply a hat that lets the rain in"...Such self-efficacy is rare today...

I would love to join you and Blu at the Inn but I just ran out of Grey Poupon...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NmannAYiwh0

Dear brad,

I have no idea if what you say would work. Frankly, I think we would end up fighting with our own people. We have to decide as a nation that we are sick of the lies and deception and try to get those that betray us out of office. If some don't like it, it's just too bad. We had to endure Obama for 8 long dangerous and miserable years. See you at the Inn. I'll bring cheese danishes.

Dear maven,

The old adage remains true, power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. The avenue for us, if we are to remain civilized, is to vote every single full of themselves elite out of office. We need to elect non-politicians who genuinely love this nation and are talented in an abundance of areas. Those who are unhappy with the results can move to Venezuela or join Hillary in jail. Come to the Inn, I have plenty of Grey Poupon for both of us.

How can we get the betrayers out of office? We can't even elect Trump over the known betrayers. And his own party is a major part of the problem.

Both parties have failed the country and the people time after time, and now we know why. They don't want the people to get involved into any intelligent thought. They only want the voters to Vote Row (Their Party). They never offer the best candidates only a candidate good enough to beat the only good enough candidate of the other party.

We have had a Tic Tax Toe US Congress for several decades. As in TTT, there are no winners in a game played by seasoned players. Isn't that the result we see from Congress, election after election.

The way that the parties are running the elections and steering the loyal voters. Maybe we should change the ballots to Row A and Row B.

The party associate with the winner A or B, will then fill in all the blanks for the none presidential candidates.

Isn't that what they are doing with the presidential candidates. Make it cheap and easy on the election. Independent voters don't count as non have had their candidate become president.

Get rid of the electoral college, the primaries and just go all in for the party. What the hell do the voters know about electing politicians, and especially the president.

This will become a country of 2 kings before the election, and the losing king become lame until the next election. Winner take all, NO Gridlock.

The King won't allow it, as the first order will be to banish the losers to, say Ellis Island until the next election where they may have a chance to take down the current King.

The states are no longer sovereign as they don't have the crown, that is the Supremacy Clause. It trumps (no pun) the 10th Amendment which is a residual repository, assuming anything is left over.

OK, that was a parody. But is it?

Thanks for the cheese danish.

Good Morning brad,

First and foremost we can vote out all the incumbents. Second of all, the states and therefore the people can assert their Constitutional rights. The federal government has usurped their powers and that is illegal. Obama and his party have turned our nation upside down. I have to believe it is not too late to right all his wrongs. See you later at the Inn. I have a fresh batch of danish for you.

Thanks and I agree on your assessment. Free the incumbents into the private sector, or some isolated island where they can reflect.

No matter what the outcome may be, it is entertaining to watch the "elite" squirm and wiggle for awhile. I'm not at all sure they will see this as the wake-up call it should be. It is entirely possible a few of them may actually start doing the job we hired them to do.

Dear teaches,

Britain did the right thing. If they remained they would lose their autonomy and their right to self determination. The move also put a big chink int the terrible quest for a one world government. Hats off to Britain!
