THE FACTS: Were they just bumps in the road to Obama's re-election?

"Facts" that with any other candidate would be Road Blocks to re-election!

Turns out all they were is bumps in the road to his re-election.

The following are the facts, just the facts and nothing but the facts! Read'em and weep, and then tell me we are not being ruled by a "Teflon Don" whose re-election campaign seemed to be immune to the facts and according to the polls nothing seemed to stick. Only in a third world country could such a president be re-elected. Is that what America has become?

Think about this Obama supporters,

Are you suffering from political Stockholm syndrome (or capture-bonding, a psychological phenomenon in which voters become hostages of their candidate and express empathy and have positive feelings towards their captors, sometimes to the point of defending them in the face of irrefutable facts)?

Even people in other countries can see what voters like you are blind to. Some people have the vocabulary to sum up things in a way you can understand them. This quote came from the Czech Republic. Someone over there has it figured out. We have a lot of work to do.

“The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president.”

“The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America . Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince.

The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.”

What you fail to grasp is that Obama supporters are not backing a cult of personality rather a set of values including valuing the working people, taking care of the needy, looking after our vets and seniors, taking care of the environment, looking to the future not the past, protecting the civil rights of all people regardless of sex, race or sexual preference, peace and negotiation instead of war, putting humans above corporations, and valuing good over greed.

Lots of very good points! (by the way, the National Debt has now broke 16 trillion) And that’s an excellent quote from the Check Republic in your comment. However, I don’t think that the lesser of two evils is the answer.

Obama is just a puppet. He does and says just as he is told by his superiors – the international bankers, the Central Bankers of the world. But it’s been the same with most other presidents. Three presidents have dared to go against the will of the bankers – Lincoln, Kennedy and Jackson. The assassinations of the first two, and the attempts on Jackson serve as an example to keep any current president under the thumb of the bankers.

No president will be able to do any significant good until the power is removed from the international banking cabal – the power to create money in any amount out of thin air and use it to control the world.

I also have a quote I’d like to share. The rapper KRS-One said regarding Obama:

“They put a black face on the New World Order, and now we’ all happy – KRS ain’t buyin it”.

Thanks ALT but Peanutoaster has provided us with the opportunity to have a lesson in the FACTS.

First let me thank PR sooooo much for his comment, frankly because I couldn't have wished for a better example of what this hub page is all about: the facts (FACTS which PR obviously has not even read or is blind to due to "political Stockholm syndrome") and the vast confederacy of fools that made Baracchio Obama their prince.

So PR, you say "Obama supporters are not backing a cult of personality rather a set of values..", values which I will show are vague, meaningless cliche's that are not supported by any of the facts (pertaining to Obama's actions and not his rhetoric)

"valuing the working people"

Fact: Democrats had control of congress for two years before Obama and Obama had full control for two years and did nothing for the working people. Look at the Facts in the Hub, real unemployment rate, the jobs that have been created under him are not lasting jobs, many disappearing faster than they were created (Solyndra etc.,)

"taking care of the needy"

Fact: There are more "needy" today than in any time in history - that's taking care of the needy? or creating more needy dependent on government so he can get re-elected?

"looking after our vets and seniors"

Fact: He cut Medicare by over 700 billion dollars to fund Obamacare. How is that looking after seniors?

Ask veterans yourself and you will find a Reuters/Ipsos poll from September says Romney now up 48 percent to 34 percent.

The Republican’s lead among veterans comes from their resistance to the looming potential defense cuts under the budget sequester, problems with Obama’s foreign policy positions and the backdrop of the stagnant economy that’s left the post-Sept. 11 generation of Iraq and Afghanistan veterans with a difficult time finding work when they return home. Yeah, he is looking out for veterans? What is it with fools like you PR, do you just make this stuff up?

"taking care of the environment"

Obama implied that he would like to see the practice of mountaintop removal (MTR) mining end (the destructive and unnecessary practice of blowing off the tops of mountains to access coal seams). Last June when instead of ending the practice, the Obama administration announced a new interagency plan to regulate MTR coal mining. Since then, the random granting or rejecting of MTR mining permits has left people on both sides of the issue perplexed. Advocates opposed to the practice were disappointed Obama also disappointed wildlife advocates when he removed the gray wolf from the endangered species list in some states. As a result, Idaho moved quickly to implement an aggressive hunting season that seeks to kill 220 wolves. Ocean advocates are upset with the President for issuing a rule that removes limits on the Hawaii-based longline swordfish fishing fleet and allows the incidental catch of nearly three times as many threatened loggerhead sea turtles as was previously permitted. Forest advocates raised questions about the White House's confusing approach to national forest planning policies, while wildlife conservationists scorned its retention of a rule narrowing the Endangered Species Act's scope with regard to polar bear protection. The unpredictability of the Obama administration's environmental decisions could easily lead one to conclude that political considerations are the driving force of its environmental policy – more so than environmental convictions or scientific facts.

Accurately grading a president on any issue requires a firm and honest understanding of what past presidents have been able to accomplish.Three Republican presidents provide a good benchmark.

Theodore Roosevelt put an end to an era of waste and natural resource abuse, reacquainted Americans with responsible environmental stewardship, and made unprecedented strides in the conservation of America's lands, waters, and wildlife.

In his first term, Richard Nixon established the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and signed two landmark environmental bills into law, the Clean Air Act and the National Environmental Policy Act. In 1973, he also signed the Endangered Species Act into law.

Ronald Reagan, not often recognized for environmental accomplishments, pushed through the most successful environmental treaty in history – the Montreal Protocol. That international treaty protected earth's atmosphere by beginning a phase-out of ozone-depleting chemicals. It has also prevented the equivalent of 135 billion metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions since 1990.

By those standards, President Obama's environmental accomplishments seem a lot like his 2009 Nobel Peace Prize – an award based primarily on expectations rather than accomplishments.

"looking to the future not the past"

Now that is really a qualifying attribute to be president - I guess having a campaign slogan like "Forward" is the only fact you need to support such a vacuous statement.

"protecting the civil rights of all people regardless of sex race or sexual preference"

What would make you or anyone think that Obama has a record on this that is better than the Republican candidate? Is it because he switched from his career long stance of being against same sex marriage to being for it solely to raise money for his re-election campaign? Yeah, that may be change a fool can believe in but not someone who looks at the facts.

"peace and negotiation instead of war"

FACT: Instead of war? What "peace" are you talking about?, We have engaged in three wars under his administration (and arguably will lose because of his policies). Yeah, "negotiation" that has gotten us far. Iran is months away from getting a nuclear weapon. He and members of his staff unlawfully target American citizens for assasiatioan by drones which is unconstitutional and should only be approved by Congress. Again, facts mean nothing to YOU, you are just an OBOMBIE, plain and simple.

"putting humans above corporations"

FACT: Corporations are made of people in case you didn't know. That said do you expect anyone to believe that Obama favors people over business/multi-national corporations? Just look and listen http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_4eZcm4ZO6o&feature...

"valuing good over greed"

Now that is really the clincher - who doesn't want to vote for someone who values good over greed? I wonder why the Obama campaign didn't choose that as their campaign slogan? Could it be that it doesn't wash with multi-million dollar trips (vacations for the royal family and their enterages) at taxpayer expense while record number of families are suffering from unemploment and a bad economy? It's the Democrat philosophy that greedily collecting and spending wastefully taxpayer's hard earned money is somehow "good"! That's the only "good" they value

But gee, don't go away mad PR. Surely you can come up with some more VACUOUS reasons devoid of the FACTS to vote for Baracchio Obama, America's "Liar in Chief".

PeanutRoaster does have a point about taking care of the needy, they just missed the fact that 'the needy' are being created under this administration, rather than being reduced. And the more you tax the folks who aren't needy yet, the sooner they will become needy. We will be absorbed by the needy, or the Borg, or something like that ... anyway ...

Remember in November.

tsadjatko profile image

The way to take care of the "needy" (which btw is only a term a liberal would apply because they see all Americans as needy and incapable of taking care of themselves, God forbid able to build a business!) is to see that jobs are created for them and that only those who really need a safety net to get through bad times or misfortune have it. Obama's idea is to make everyone dependent on Government, just like his health care is devised to eventually force the nation to a single payer government program because instead of lowering costs they are already skyrocketing and projected to keep going up! Obama promised (it is on video) that an average family health care cost would go down $2500/ year - today it has risen about that much per year. The Health Care Cost Institute said per capita healthcare spending rose 4.6 percent in 2011, compared with 3.8 percent growth in 2010.

Really good stuff the Obama administraton has done for the "needy" isn't it!.

You got that right. I can see Axelrod talking to Obama in 2009.

Axelrod: "President Obomber, we must stop using enhanced interrogation on the enemy because it actually works."

Obomber: "I'm one step ahead of ya , David. We'll call it torture and outlaw it in the US. It is better we just kill'm all with drones so then we don't have to worry about what to do with any intelligence we could get from enhanced, um, .... I mean torture. I'll even let you pick out some we kill! Then I don't have to go to them intelligence briefings 'cause there won't be no intelligence gather'n. I'll get a whole day more per week on the golf course...I love me, don't you David!"

Axelrod: "Yes, Massa, I mean Messiah."

Excellent hub filled with details that can be researched and commented on. Great comment supporting your hub.

Obama has no accomplishments. As you so rightfully put it, expectation is not an accomplishment.

The Obama care doesn't even start to take effect until 2014. His double MPG doesn't come in till 2025. This is a nation that put a man on the Moon in less than a decade.

The government cannot make these accomplishment, only the private sector can do it. As long as the government doesn't get in their way.

Thanks

Too funny. The peanut man is always a little short on facts and heavy on emotion. That's the liberal way. What the peanut man doesn't realize is that a person like Obama would toss him under the bus with all the others he has thrown there without batting an eyelash while doing it.

What is lost on the left is that you teach a man to fish, you don't give him fish. It's called learning to live. Seems to be lost of a peanut roaster.

Nice lay out of FACTS. Now if those facts can be refuted lets get them out here where we can see them and stow the drama and give it to your Mama.

Keep in mind that "needy" is summed up many times with being a victim. In this nation if you are a victim you are usually a victim of yourself.

breakfastpop, right on about people who don’t to contribute to society! But, much worse than the 47% is the damage done by the less than 1% - the ruling elite international banker billionaires and trillionaires. These people suck far, far more value from society than all the State handouts put together.

This goes on regardless of who the current president is. For example, the Federal Reserve creates trillions of dollars from nothing and loans it out at perpetual interest that is paid by the taxpayers. We are still paying interest on money borrowed in 1913 – even though a dollar from 1913 is worth only 4 cents today.

I'll toss in a quicky, my Barber 1913 silver half dollar, depending on condition is worth 18 to 1100 of today's dollars, I'm sure you were referring to the printed dollar, "silver certificates" that are no longer honored as "Pay to Bearer on Demand" not wanting to devalue your thoughts, just sayin' that's all.

If Netanyahu does not launch a full scale attack against Iran pre-election and we wake up November 7th an "Obamanation" we won't be the only screwed nation, Israel will be headed to death row and obomba won't care, I watched the film 2016 as well as read "Dreams of my father" and 2 other books by this guy. I knew what the movie was saying, his fathers dream was to destroy the colonialism of the nations that used him and his people to build empires. Barry is a sick minded individual intent on completing his fathers dream.

Me? I'm a sick individual who would jump and dance if I was given control of Israels 80 nuclear war heads and the intelligence brief on most prized targets in Iran and reduce it to a smoking hole in the ground, now this is just dreaming mind you, I do however feel that I would piss the bed to hear on the radio in the morning that Israel had just killed every Iranian in Iran and is splitting the aim of the rest of their arsenal toward the Arabs, Afghanistan and any others that need to go away.

A feller can dream can't he?

50 Caliber,

Yes, you’re right, the REAL dollar as originally defined by the United States is one ounce of standard silver, which still has the same value in real terms. And even the Silver Certificates, although no longer honored, still have some extra value due to rarity. I was referring to the Federal Reserve Notes that people use today as money.

I’m glad to hear that in that last paragraph you were just dreaming.

Another positive jobs report today. Stock market reacts - Investors were pleased by the news. Add this to the positive consumer confidence numbers. Sorry no good news for Romney this week except maybe that former prez Bush is out of the country at the moment - keynoting a speech on offshore investing in the Cayman Islands - unbelievable but true.

tsadjatko profile image

tsadjatko 4 years ago from maybe (the guy or girl) next door Author

"positive jobs report?" How is it positive when fewer jobs are created every month than needed to fill population entering the work force and more people are unemployed than when Obama came into office unless you believe this is the new normal.

Sure the stock market (a house of cards btw) loves Obama because as unemployment remains very high, maybe go even higher as business will not hire without some idea of the long term tax rates, estate tax, and just the fear of confiscation in one form or another like the "it's not a tax?" Obamacare. So with high unemployment there is very little labor power to increase wages. Inflation remains very low. Companies will continue to pile up cash making them less risky from a credit standpoint. Interest rates stay very low, yield spreads continue to contract. Companies continue to refinance debt at low rates adding to earnings which bolsters stock prices. A virtuous cycle. Companies can be stingy on dividends and executives can once again make big money on their options because they plow the corporate earnings back into buying back stock.

The wealthy become wealthier and the middle and lower class suffer with high unemployment, high gas prices, they get more tax breaks but since half of them don’t pay any taxes its not a big deal and they stay in line because their guy tells the sheeple how hard he has worked for them.

Now who do you think is the one who really favors the rich? Doesn't Obama's record the "facts" presented in this hub mean anything to you?

But thanks for your comments, as they do help to make my points for example I notice, as usual, your assessment that the stock market loves the unemployment news today is wrong as it is now heading down. You seem to think facts are snapshots at a moment in time that support your thinking - very scientific.

No, as much as you would love to make the election the issue instead of the facts, the message is the facts don't lie, not that a slim majority of the 60% of the electorate that votes were snaked into ignoring the facts by promises of free stuff, race-baiting and class warfare. The election is over but that does not change THE FACTS no matter how much people like you would like to. And the proof is: who would believe a liberal is going to give advise to the GOP on how to win elections - you'd love them to get off the facts.

What bugs me, and has bugged me is the amount of almost religeous contempt Americans have begun to hold towards each other because of political differences. There is more hate because of politics than any race, creed, or culture could ever generate in this country. During the election cycle I would find myself on political threads using the sage words of a drug addict "Can't we all just get along?" Rodney King. The two sides are so busy bickering back and forth over the fence they have neglected to worry about the ground the fence was built on. In my honest opinion I think we will soon face another civil, or revolutionary war, the divide has become too wide, and the problems facing our nation too large to sustain simple minded bickering while ignoring the elephant in the room.

tsadjatko profile image

tsadjatko 3 years ago from maybe (the guy or girl) next door Author

Thanks for the comment Mike. You make a good point and it is sad that's the way it is, but if you look at history it has always been this way throughout the world and it will never change - to wish for a world where we can just all get along is naïve - evil and good are always opposing forces and there is just no getting around that. In our political case here in the US, don't kid yourself...the division is between evil and good. Proponents of policies that will destroy America verses policies America was built upon and what made it great, socialism vrs. capitalism, lies, spin and deceit vrs. the truth and the facts. The thirst by government (a party and/or unions) for power over our lives vrs. the freedom to determine our own destinies.

When we compromise with evil we all lose. My advice to you would be to fight for what is right instead of wishing the fight would go away. It never will.

Mikeg422 profile image

tsadjatko I agree completely, democratic policy is completely unsustainable, which is why our forefathers built this country as a republic. It sucks because most of the sheep are so busy looking to the shepherd to be tended, they don't see the cliff they are all being herded towards. The words personal responsibility seem to mean nothing to the democrats, liberty is an inside joke to them, and the more of our freedom they can take by offering security the happier they are. They are absolutely the evil you speak of, the hard part for us is figuring out how to be rid of them.

"Rid of them"? well yeah but I wish we could win them over.

A hard thing to do though when they have no respect for the facts.

Like the last BOZO I showed this hub to, whose ONLY comment (couldn't take issue with one fact) was it was a substandard hub because of all the pics and only 100 words...of course there are over 400 words not to mention thousands more of factual information in the comments from me, let alone others (doubt he read that far).

Of course to a liberal BOZO charts, graphs and illustrated FACTS are just pictures if they can't refute them so why not divert discussion to anything but the facts (like character assassinate the messenger) Oh, and don’t forget to top it off with lies. That is all they know how to do.

To elitists like him a picture is only worth a thousand words if it is portraying one of their lies .

I think the picture was created pronto to prove he likes to shoot... probably never took a picture shooting a rifle at skeet (possibly cause he never has), maybe photo shopped the pic and that is why the plume is weird. Looks like he is shooting the skeet puller but nothing in the air. See things don't come off right when they are staged, like someone who loaths the military giving an award to a "corpse" man because he doesn't even know how to pronounce his own military man's description. Now you've got me finding some more peculiarities in the picture: If you follow the line of sight across the top of the barrel, you don't meet his eyeball, but rather the top of his glasses - which is above his eyebrow. The stock looks to be an inch or two high on his shoulder - ouch! He's leaning back, not forward to counteract the kick - maybe he fell over after the picture, or the smoke was photoshopped in. His left arm and hand is at a very awkward angle for anyone who's shot a gun before.
