Gadhafi in Libya is Winning
There are times to act and times to refrain. President Obama has said that Gadhafi must go in Libya, yet, is afraid to take even small steps to support the rebels who control the eastern half of Libya.
Once again, Obama is overly cautious, worried about outcomes and wanting a multi-national confirmation before anything militarily is done. Great commanders take risks. The German WW2 Rommel is an excellent study. Obama needs to act quickly because Gadhafi and the trained military Libyan forces are hammering the ill-equipped rebels. Time is on Gadhafi's side. He has the arms, the manpower and training to ultimately retake eastern Libya. While NATO convenes with discussion about what to do, what not to do, acting like a whimp or a dog with only a bark, Gadhafi's storm is gathering and beheading the rebels that Obama supports. By the time some sort of decision occurs, it will be too late.
It is almost as the West is stalling from making a decision to act. To do something real, like a No fly zone, maybe airdropping arms to the rebels. Sometimes, one has to go it alone without everyone agreeing. Russia and China will NEVER agree and will always vote No. So far, France seems to the most willing to do something about this constipation the West has.
As of now, Gadhafi has called our bluff.
