Going After Newt Gingrich For Buying His Wife Bling

Stop the presses, former Speaker of the House, Newt Gingrich, bought his wife ‘bling’ from Tiffany. Bear in mind that there are tornadoes wreaking havoc and deaths across sections of this great country, yet the Fourth Estate is concentrating on Newt’s shopping habits. Apparently, if you are a Republican, you are not allowed to live large, as the rappers would say.

The concentration of the biased media on Newt Gingrich’s gifts to his better half is a testament and preview of what is to come in the 2012 Presidential elections. The media is letting us know that they are in the tank and that they will do anything to re-elect the “secular messiah” - do forgive me for not using caps, like is the wont for the Christ Messiah. The ‘secular messiah’’ represents the media’s values and so they have a vested interest in assuring that President Obama retains the White House.

This objective of securing a second term for President Obama is why we see the media, even on such a trivial matter about the gifts that Newt Gingrich bought for his wife, is supposedly big news for the biased Fourth Estate. Many blogs ago, I coined a phrase, ‘Hypocrats’ to describe many Democrats; it seems apt again to reuse it because only Democrats are allowed to make money and live lavishly. When former Governor Palin ventured out of government to make a living, she was, and still is, accused of doing it for money. The very same reporters who are berating Gingrich, are themselves, living large, but like most Liberals… it is do as I say, but not as I do.

Incidentally, Tiffany has come out and said that Newt Gingrich did not break any laws and even the media has agreed, but the narrative is that in such dire economic times, it is bad for a former Speaker of the House to flaunt his wealth. I am certain that this Friday night coming, many of these reporters will be going to their swanky pads. If you do not agree with Newt on the political issues, that is OK, but to go after him for the largess to his wife in beyond the pale. I wrote before that there are those reporters or Liberals whose skeletons are fetid and rotting and riding shotgun on their persons, yet they still ignore their own stink… but they turn up their noses to the supposed stink of Newt Gingrich.

There is a reason why I do not berate those who are obese because I know people in my family that are so; there is a reason why I do not berate unions knowing that my father and myself have enjoyed the benefits of being in a union shop. There is a salient reason why I always used “we” when describing the things we do wrong in this country because, Jesus knows, I am no better than anyone else… and do forgive me if I come off as such now and then. Close to a decade ago, my friend and first boss, Robert, hired me ‘minty fresh’ out of law school… and during our work, he would opine on certain topics with my being quiet. Robert would ask why I was being quiet… I would tell him that it was because, concerning that issue (s), I resided in a ‘glass house.’ I would hope that the media do likewise….

It's not about the bling... it's about he's a hypocritical, bumbling idiot. A "family values" candidate married three times, always philandering, asked his first wife for a divorce while she was in a hospital bed with cancer, criticized Ryan's budget publicly...then messed up the apology...he's dead at the starting gate. I hope you're not counting on Newt to defeat Obama.

Hi That Mary Ann:

This issue had nothing to do with Newt's infedility toward his ex-wives or his callousness of leaving one while she was gravely ill - this is about the media making a big deal out of buying jewelry for his wife. All those who are criticizing him for buying the bling are themselves living large. All the media has to do is address his personal frailties like you did... instead of some disguised attack on a man buying jewelry for his wife.
