How Can We Achieve World Peace — Part II

Participate in democratic processes

India is the land from where the torchbearer of this word Peace was born and brought up and the world pays gratitude towards the efforts of this social reformist, we call Mahatma Gandhi.

I do not need to tread a new path but can easily learn and adhere from the nuances of the life of the Mahatma and his teachings itself who spent his whole life doing so.

Firstly, I will learn and stick to his principle of equality, i.e., equality in caste, creed, race, color, and gender. The moment I will understand the full meaning of it, the hatred towards fellow human beings will mellow down and instead affection will take its root.

Secondly, I will always spread the thought of democratic process in any decision making instead of centralization. Involvement of more and more people helps realize people that the changes are for them and came through their own thoughts instead of externally imposed upon them.

Thirdly, I will respect every religion at par with my own. I will participate and celebrate every festival and induce others too to do so, which along with making a joyous atmosphere also help in cultural exchanges understanding each other better and help in establishing our goal of living peacefully in a heterogeneous community.

Fourthly, I need to first fortify my thoughts towards acceptance of others. I need to open the gates of my mind to accept and appreciate others and feel their pain, sorrow, and happiness alike. Peace is a state of mind, which is realized with the combined effect and effort we all need to propagate and contribute towards its formation.

Fifth, I will make a webpage or portal on the information technology platform to exchange views and ideas towards the common pursuit of achieving peace. These exchange of ideas will not only help ourselves understand each other but broaden out thought to accommodate the world views in it and respect everyone.

Last but not least, our planet is so beautiful that to explore, experience, and realize its beauty should be my goal instead of disturbing it through various means. At the same time, I will try to induce the same thing in my near and dear ones. I will start with cycling a few kilometers with a message to infuse the thought of peace and enthuse the jest to strive towards it. As I will grow up, I will cycle across my country to propagate this thought and try to join as many people as I can to let the peace prevail everywhere.

We surely will be triumphant one day to achieve world peace.

Nice to go through ecstatic review you have made. I wish I myself can employ some of my own thoughts and help in this process of making this world peace a reality.

We Indians can be proud of for having Mahathma Gandhi as our leader who believed in peace. Achieving world peace is in the hands of the entire people who make up this universe.

Voted up, useful and beautiful.

Of course we are proud of this great son of the soil and hope we will be up to the mark to support his vision and thoughts about peace.
