How Sharpton Makes a Living
Chiquita Comes to the Table
Good Morning, Breakfastpoppers. Today is Monday, January 5, 2015. Our noisy and delightful friend, Chiquita Cicada, is at the breakfast table. She just learned some extremely disturbing news about Rev. Al. Please join us for scrumptious toasted banana bread, lavished with gorgeous butter. Chiquita has been baking all afternoon. I will be supplying Jamaican Coffees. See you soon.
What Now?
Thank you all for joining POP and me this morning. I just learned that Reverend Al Sharpton has been getting paid by corporations to keep his mouth shut and not accuse them of racism. If they chose not to contribute to Sharpton's National Action Network, they would be under Sharpton's gun for committing what the Reverend considered to be racial slurs or offenses. I always wondered how the good Reverend made enough money to forget to pay millions in federal taxes. Now I know. He threatened corporations and got paid to leave the companies alone. What a guy! President Obama must be so proud of his "go to" guy. In my limited "bug mind" this sounds like extortion, a shake down or blackmail. Is the reward for this kind of hideous behavior a trip to the Oval Office over 80 times? Apparently, it most certainly is.
When is Enough, Enough?
I think we have reached meltdown when it comes to the likes of Reverend Al. Over the years he has caused so much pain to so many people. He has manipulated the truth and hurt innocent people, destroying reputations and leaving a damaged trail behind. His reward appears to be becoming a close confidant of the President of the United States. How is that even possible? Why is it being tolerated? Where is the public outrage?
Oh, What a Tangled Web We Weave
It is so upsetting to try to accept that Rev. Al gets away with owing millions in back taxes with very little consequences, if any. It is completely disconcerting to realize that Rev. Al gets away with criminal acts as though they were acts of charity. Is this the result of political correctness? It most certainly has to be the breakdown of common sense and the erosion of moral fiber. Have we lost our collective minds?
The Truth Hurts
The bottom line is this. Bad guys get away with bad things. The media protects them. The government protects them. The good guys are too busy working hard to notice what the bad guys are doing. The good guys do not have the support of the media, the government or a good deal of the citizens. The result is that guys like Al Sharpton keep their freedom and keep on causing mayhem. Isn't it time for people to stand up and call this guy out? Corporations have to step up to the plate and tell the truth. Come up to the podium and tell the nation what Sharpton wanted and what they did to keep him off their backs. The idiocy and insanity has to end here. At what point do you say, I have had enough? At what point do you gather the courage to stop the blackmail ? I think it's time. Don't you?
A Thug is a Thug!
I have never been able to understand or accept the rise, fall and resurrection of the Rev. Al. At one point in his colorful life, the media even looked upon him as a viable candidate for president. If the story of his life were ever made into a film, it would be characterized as a farce. The Reverend Al needs to do three things. First, he has to pay his back taxes, or go directly to jail. Next he has to admit that he has been shaking down corporations and go directly to jail. Third, it would be great if he just went away and let the rest of us get on with our lives.
A Return to Sanity
We need to take a breath and return to an appreciation of the truth. The Obama Administration has made lying into an art form. People like Sharpton thrive in such an environment. We need to repudiate Sharpton and all those who seek to jump on his bandwagon. We need to tell President Obama that The Rev. Al doesn't belong in the White House. It sends a hideous message to the nation and the world. Let's stop the insanity now. I urge all of you to write to your representatives and bombard the White House with the message that we are not going to take this garbage anymore. President Obama needs to choose his friends more carefully.
Chiquita's Song
I'm Chiquita Cicada and I'm here to say
I wish Al Sharpton would just go away...
