Antoine is at the Table

Good Morning, Breakfastpoppers. Today is Tuesday, August 12, 2014. Our dear "ami", Antoine, is at the breakfast table. He is quite distraught this morning. The world, according to Antoine, is spinning out of control. Please join him for breakfast. He has whipped up a magnificent batch of buttery croissants. I will be serving French cafe. We hope to see you soon.

Black Flags are Flying

Thank you all for joining me this morning. The world, yours and mine, is in great turmoil. Iraqi families are feeling so helpless in the face of the mass murderers of ISIS that they are throwing their children from the mountaintop rather then watch them die of thirst, beheading or capture. Somehow, and I can't fathom it, your President Obama is on the golf course enjoying the life of a leader who doesn't know how to lead. Throughout Europe, the black flags of ISIS are waving. Their ugly chants permeate the air and the young and angry Muslims throughout Europe are enjoying the vicious rhetoric. "Death to the Jews" can be heard loud and clear. Death to the Christians forced to a mountaintop in Iraq. Death to anyone who is not Muslim and a believer in a world run by Muslims with strict adherence to sharia and the Koran. If you can't hear the chanting now, rest assured, you will hear it soon. There is a reason mosques are springing up throughout Europe and the United States. They are getting ready to take what they feel is theirs...everything.

Golf Trumps Everything

It seems clear to this bug that your President Obama is tired of terrorism. He just can't get a handle on how he feels about Hamas or ISIS. In his speeches, your president tries to act strong, but there is nothing behind his words. The conviction is absent. His reactions to world crisis is slow or absent. Right now he has authorized the bombing of ISIS strongholds. His plan calls for polite dainty strikes. He is dropping supplies of water to the frightening Iraqis on the mountaintop, but it is way too little and much too late. He doesn't have the stomach to call for massive air strikes against the terrorists because of collateral damage. I wonder if he connects his announcement of troop withdrawal in Iraq and Afghanistan to this savage movement. He politely told the enemy that they had time to grow strong and grow strong and powerful they did. He pulled out and they moved in and that's that! He is on the golf course now, because that is his comfort zone. This leadership business is way too time consuming. He has given and will continue to give your enemies a clear path to you. Trust me when I say, they are coming.

Whose Side Are You On, Mr. President?

It seems to this bug that your President Obama, not only suffers from presidential fatigue, but also a clear sense of who or what is right or wrong. He says the United States is allied with Israel yet his actions speak volumes about his true feelings. The president's president, Valerie Jarrett, went on "Face the Nation" to tell anyone listening that the White House simply couldn't condone the Israeli killing of innocent children. President Jarrett never bothered to give all the facts, because doing so often proves to be very inconvenient.

The fence is still up when it comes to the crisis in Iraq. If your President Obama were really concerned about the future of Iraq he wouldn't be reacting with such a light touch. I don't doubt, for one minute, that he knows what to do, but if his concern was genuine he might avail himself of all the great military leaders we have. This president never looks for answers beyond his tight little circle of misinformed, misdirected and egotistical advisers. The result of this kind of behavior is self-evident. Grandma always said that the proof was in the pudding. This pudding takes like poison!

Antoine's Song

Let's go children of the homeland

The day of reckoning has arrived

Against you tyranny's ugly flag is raised...
