India Who Rules - ( Andaman and Nicobar Islands.- Part 20.)

The Andaman & Nicobar Islands were not tourist destinations earlier to our country's Independence.It was a JAIL for the freedom fighters during the struggle for freedom by the congress party formed by the leaders of freedom movement to oust the British from the Indian soil.No one in India ever thought of visiting this place for the fear of the tag it had as a Jail.Even the islanders of Andaman and Nicobar died due to diseases like Malaria and lack of medical care though the British looked after their men in uniform.To British Indian's were slaves and never deserved medical attention at his jail in Andaman this jail was known as Cellular Jail with prisoners kept in solitary confinement..The British used this Island to keep the freedom fighters or to hang them at the will of those who ruled India,the Japanese kicked the British from this Island for a short period but the mighty British took control after they won the second world war.The British used the jail inmates to develop the island as they liked and even imported bricks from Burma the name Burma is now changed to Myanmar after the Burmese got their freedom from British.The Jail is now a 500 Bed Hospital for the local population.Govt of India converted both these Islands as a Union Territory and is now ruled by Lt.Governor himself there is no Chief Minister and other Ministers like few Union Territories of the country,no body is interested in this place to be a Chief Minister and the congress party has a share in all its administration and other departments.If some one unfortunately wants to climb the steps of a court it adds to further unfortunate travel up to Kalkotta as there is no judiciary here.The Judges also do not like Andaman and Nicobar for the simple reason its not worth the efforts and reputation to stay here.There are no universities also as no teacher wants to stay here.However there are political party's contesting for just 1 loksabha seat,they are INC,BJP,BSP,NCP,CPIML,LJNSP and SWD.who may visit the island when ever there is election for any thing where people have to vote. Media also do not like the place and so we do not get any news from this island including rape or murder.No one likes to do such things here perhaps.

The Island is now called Garden of Eden as it has developed well by the Tourism department of govt of India.There are 5 Star hotels now, in this most attractive spot in south India. Those who have poof of being in this jail have good perks and felicitations of honor by the govt of India.Youngsters visit this place on vacation and other social gatherings.Both Andaman and Nicobar Islands crescent have shaped beaches. Adventure tourism like trekking, Island camping, snorkeling, SCUBA diving etc. and other water sports are the real attractions. A marvelous mix of nature's most precious delights, the Andaman & Nicobar Islands are a once in a lifetime holiday experience for all young and old..No reports of any rape here since freedom from past 65 years.No State wide Hartal,Bundh,Jail Burro Token,Strike,Flash Strike,Hunger Strike and Rasta Ruko.Who knows there may not be any traffic jams also.If you are planning to visit check some travel agents for all tips on your tour.
