JEB as Mitt Romney's Vice President

JEB as Mitt Romney's Vice

There has been a lot of speculation about who Mitt Romney would chose as his Vice President. It has been very clear to me since I started writing for Hubpages that it would be JEB. There are several tangible reasons to choose JEB given the Bush families ability to pull grass root campaigns and funding together so quickly. But once again I would argue that the most important reason to have JEB on the ticket is that presidential candidates are vetted long before they are even considered for the executive branch.

Mitt Romney will not be able to beat Barack Obama on his own without JEB. And JEB wants the trifecta of Leader of the Free World. If JEB is elected to the Vice Presidents office it will be a complete shut out for the Democrats. The Democratic Party will be in danger of exactly what they accuse the Republican Party of which is of failing. After all the Republican Party has been around much longer then the Democratic Party. In the 1880(s) it was the Republicans and the Whigs which also ceased to exist.

What does JEB have to offer to the ticket?

1) The Bush brand which is not nearly as damaged as it has been made out to be especially since George H.W. Bush has managed to be silent for so long.

2) JEB in general is not a bad executive and the mistakes he has made which are great he has learned from.

3) JEB can and will carry the Hispanic vote right out from underneath Barack Obama.

4) JEB has a positive message for the future of America.

5) JEB is conservative but has learned to live with liberals. God knows his brother has challenged JEB regularly with this issue.

6) Money

7) Foreign Affairs Experience.

8) A return to the traditions of the Republican Party far away from the Tea Party Movement.

9) JEB has a history of turning his enemies into allies which can’t be said about every politician.

10) National Security Experience

There are many more attributes in which JEB would be the best VP for Mitt Romney but more over JEB has the motivation. He is willing to serve and wants the opportunity. And of course they could win. Either way if JEB becomes Mitt Romney’s VP pick then it will be a very hard race for Barack Obama. It is shaping up to be a hard race either way but if JEB enters the fray this election cycle it will be an insurmountable ticket for the Democrats. And that is exactly what I expect to happen. I like Marco Rubio but I think he needs a few more years on the hill before entering the executive. JEB practically grew up on the hill.

Besides JEB as Vice would have him following in the proud tradition of his Father. For all that I disliked about JEB’s brother, I liked his Father as president. The Republicans have a tremendous amount to lose this election if they do not win.

After a decade of war in the middle east in which both parties have now equally participated I ask you why not JEB? I think this is his window and if he enters it might be a ticket I would be compelled to vote in the affirmative. That is hard for me to write as Barack Obama has made many promises which I would like to give him the opportunity to fulfill. My son loves Barack Obama to which I must remind my son we haven’t had a Democrat in the family since FDR and we considered that person rogue.

I would like to see JEB have the opportunity to fulfill the promise of his Father and those of his brother and be an exceptional leader in this country. In these times we need strong leadership. I believe JEB could bring that to the Romney ticket and serve this country with excellence. The question is does Mitt believe.

Do you really believe it matters who the running mate is or even whether or not Obama is beaten in the fall? If you really do, I'd like to ask why you figure it matters and really, how you think it would change anything that is going on right now. Will a republican end the wars? Will a republican somehow make a multi-trillion dollar debt go away or are they just as sold out as the guy I voted for the last time, that said he'd do all of these things? I'm thinking people need to place their faith where it belongs and that is not with men.

Yes,

Actually I do believe that JEB has a positive message for this country who have lost their faith in everything. And no I do not believe it will be the place of JEB to end the war or end the debt. That will be Romney's job and I voted for him in the last election before McCain won the nomination.

I am held by a different covenant then you so I don't believe an analytical article about JEB being an asset to Mitt Romney is at all in conflict with my faith.

I appreciate your perspective but I don't believe what is on the television. I have faith in my brothers and sisters.

Thanks for your comment.

I'm sorry, I wasn't clear. I didn't mean would "Jeb" personally do the things I'm asking. I'm asking if you think that if Mitt picks Jeb and gets elected, will Mitt, Mitt+Jeb, Mitt+Jeb+whoever, will do a more effective job of handling the country's problems? My perspective is based on the last election and subsequently, the scriptures, so I know "My" answer. I'm trying to get an idea of why your perspective seems to be that electing Mitt and possibly Jeb, fixes what we are seeing.

Thank you for the qualification. Per your question, I don't believe the scriptures discuss trillion dollar debt. And I stay away from secular arguments especially about predictions.

Do you believe the current administration will fix the economy?

The point of the article is that Mitt+Jeb will be a very difficult ticket for the Obama administration to beat. And while I don't make predictions a Mitt + Jeb ticket makes a certain amount of sense from the old guard Republican perspective.

The executive branch doesn't solve the issues of the country nor does DC but the people who are outside of DC. I think JEB knows this and embraces this ideology which I haven't seen from the Obama administration. Although my son loves Obama. Politicians will not and can not fix the problems of the country but innovation created by the average and ordinary people.

I hope that answers your question. JEB maybe more inclined to embrace replacing old neopatism DC with fresh blood and allow for more innovation in this country.

Thanks.

Another Bush, at this time, will soe the seeds of revolution.

Sure the scriptures address debt, small amounts or trillion dollar ones. Proverbs 22:7 and the Mosaic laws. To your question though, I don't think the current administration has or ever had any intention of addressing the debt or the wars (the last one, the one before that or any of them, especially since 1988 and the NWO statement). I get that you feel the next would steer us in a direction that the population would be empowered to work through and eventually fix these issues and I think I got your answer to my question (faith in your brothers and sisters). Faith is good. I have plenty of faith, just not in mankind.

Thanks for answering my question though.

Hi Gusser,

The revolution is here whether there is a Bush in office or not. Thanks for reading and commenting.

Hi Elder,

Proverbs 22:7 says nothing about trillions of dollars in national debt but speaks to the relationship between the debtor and debtee. "Poor people are the slaves of the rich. Borrow money and you are the slave of the rich."

I have faith in my brothers and sisters. When 9/11 happened I had faith in my Islamic brothers and sisters and they haven't disappointted. We are all human and not perfect or we would be God but I believe the original intention of men/women is good and therefore they deserve the benefit of the doubt. If you can't forgive those who have failed you then how do you ever forgive yourself when you make a mistake?

I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt and I am often very pleased with humanity.

Innovation will be the key to our economic survival. And we need leadership that embraces that concept.

Nice to meet you Elder.

Hi JT! I believe you provide an interesting perspective. While some may not want to see another Bush in office, whether as VP or President, Jeb could be a great asset to Romney. A Romney/Bush ticket would certainly give Obama a major challenge. Obama is not a shoo-in, regardless what the polls say. A lot of people are silent and will make a statement in the voting booth.

Excellent perspective, as always! Voted up!

You know I know Jeb. He will get the Latin vote here, but I don't know about elsewhere. I thought he was a mediocre governer, but I mainly focus on conservation issues. I think he did some good things for the economy.

It looks like you might need that pepper spray.

Hi Dex,

An analysis of of a Romney/JEB ticket was all I was trying to provide. It is not a ticket that is mentioned often in the press. Thank you for your kind words. I always appreciate you.

Hi WD,

You know JEB? Then we must know each other because I had several appointments by him. From the inside I know JEB was trying to be a good leader for Florida. He just got slightly side tracked when he was torn between his loyalties to his brother and his his loyalties to the state of Florida. With his brother out of the way I think JEB would be a wonderful VP for Romeny.

No pepper spray needed in the event JEB gets to be VP. There will be secret service everywhere as in the photo I have of him and I.

As for carrying the rest of the hispanic vote. JEB has Texas and will probably carry the South, California, Nevada and Colorado as well. Where there is a Mexican there is a vote for JEB.

I am working out running 11 miles a three days a week. I will get back into shape so I can fend off any attacker!! But thanks WD, you always make me smile!!

Maybe you are right about the vote, I am just guessing. G Bush Sr. made me really nervous with his New World Order stuff. It makes me feel like there is a conspiracy. Especially since China turned state run capitalist, and congress changed the laws to allow American manufacturing to be based there.

Maybe you will like to look into something like this. http://www.metroorlandojudokai.com/

I recommend Judo, because they focus heavily on how to defend an attack from behind, and the techniques don't require brute strength. Don't worry about your shoulder, they will help you work with that. If this is too far away, they can recommend someone nearby.

For self protection, you only need to know three or four good moves really well. It kept me safe at Devereux when I worked with the older teenagers from the inner city. Some of them are downright dangerous.

Good Morning WD,

Just got back from my 11 miles work out. Only time will tell but I am not terribly worried about China as I attended Embry Riddle and I remember the Boxer Rebellion well.

I will check Judo out. I have self defense training provided by the state of Florida for special needs children. Unfortunately when you are in the fray with only one shoulder and a disabled child holding the other arm and cornered there is no place to go. He had a weapon as well.

I am a Mom who is non-violent and not interested in a brawl. Can't I easy into middle age gracefully?

Thanks for the link I will take a gander.

11 miles? I don't even like to ride a bike that far. I didn't know your son was that involved in the violence. I thought he was a witness from at least a little distance. It must have really freaked him out and broke his heart.

Hi WD,

Yes, I have to recondition my body for attacks. I used to work out 4 hours a day and bike 22 miles each and every day. I didn't even take the weekends off.

This person only attacked me when I had my son to defend because he would have never been able to win the fight if I had been alone. And my son does have some PTSD and flashbacks. I am getting him through it though. It takes time for both of us to heal. We are lovers and not fighters unless we have to.

Have a great afternoon.
