Senator John McCain’s Pre-Natal Solar Eclipse in Leo

Johnny comes marching home again……. HURRAH, HURRAH! Yes he is a triumphant figure spending several years in a Viet Cong prisoner of war camp, but there are even former U.S military officers in the Iraq war, a Democrat, General Wesley Clark, 2008 Vice Presidential Candidate who was out-spoken about this issue concerning McCain’s “heroism”. Obviously campaign rhetoric by a desperate democratic General trying to suck up to Barack’s team after he (Wessley) gave his allegiance to Hillary. Lol!

Anyway Wessley, who said McCain’s fighter jet, was shot down behind enemy lines and such HE doesn’t consider that heroic, but something else (I catch his drift!). But I think at least, the imprisonment certainly would be heroic because of what McCain endured for us, hence the title of this Hub, “John McPain.”

In any event, since I’ve had a few requests to publish the natal chart of Senator John McCain (R) Arizona, here it is in a nutshell. John’s father, a Navy officer himself and his mother were stationed in the Canal Zone, Panama, at the time of his birth. Sen. John McCain, like his father, attended the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. After his naval career and his political career, I’m pretty much sure by now that we all know he’s the Republican nominee for president of the United States vs. Senator Barack Obama (D) Illinois. Previously in the Navy, he had a highly regarded military career and to reiterate, was a Prisoner of War, P.O.W. during the Vietnam conflict for many years. He is definitely a hero! But politics wise, that’s debatable. His own party, the Republicans are still a little leery of his independent nature to be a true conservative.

As sort of a “loose canon” the Republican Party, John, in the U.S. Congress and the Senate, was also considered a maverick in his politics. During the presidential campaign recently, he has not received the same amount of world press as his opponent Barack Obama, mainly because of a number of reasons, some are McPain’s military mawkishness and lack of economic experience and just plain boredom. He’s not as exciting as Obama! But basically for me in the HubPages, I’ve neglected him too, until now. It’s his turn, he’ll get his fair share believe me!

Because I enjoy astrology so much that’ s where I’ll concentrate with McPain.

There are many factors of interest in McCain’s chart, which I will mention but one for now is that his Pre-natal Eclipse (PE) was–the Solar Eclipse of Aug 1, 2008 in Leo. A pre-natal eclipse is an eclipse that happened when you are still in the womb and in nine month’s time we all usually experience these pre-natal eclipses accept we might not because of a pre mature birth or just the way the dates happen to work out. But even so a Pre-Natal Eclipse can still affect anyone. In McPain’s case, he is a Virgo Sun sign. Still in the womb he experienced a Pre-Natal Solar Eclipse in the sign of Leo which on August 1, 2008 we experienced one again. This is what I’ll elaborate on.

The Solar Eclipse on August 1 had manifested in Leo in McCain’s 10th house of Career and Public Standing, however, his Ascendant (Rising sign) also shows him a Libra rising person. His Midheavan (very top of the chart), besides including Leo, also shares the spotlight with Cancer. And Cancer is America’s Sun sign as of July 4, 1776. Having America at the top of your chart deals with his career and public standing.

Back to his Pre-Natal Solar Eclipse in Leo, which just happened again. With Leo in the 10th House, extremely aloof people are naturally drawn to him and he has difficulty accepting affection. Previously he thought love was limiting, that love would hold him down. But the purpose of the eclipse is to knock us on our keester. McPain is slowly changing to McCain and he is accepting the love we all need and need to give. McCain’s Leo Eclipse lesson in the Presidential election is to GIVE LOVE and it will be RETURNED. Obama, a Leo Sun, his Leo Solar Eclipse lesson in his 7th House is to release his sometime arrogance and pride, because “Pride Goes Out On Horseback And Comes Back On Foot!” A lesson he can easily learn from Senator John Edwards’ recent sexscapade.

John McCain and Barack Obama are very talented men and are capable of using their personal magnetism to best advantage. They have learned to emphasize their good qualities and exploit their creativity. There is little they can’t accomplish if the set there mind to it, and we all know what that is.

Yet they are human and no one is perfect. McCain has been reported as saying he may lose the presidency over his support for the war. And that he’d rather win a war than win a political battle, this shows me he hasn’t yet learned the Pre-Natal Leo Solar Eclipse lesson. Which is Love others and Love comes back to you! Baseball analogies are my favorite, especially with his war mentality, “Ya can’t win’m all!” Now maybe the Leo Solar Eclipse, he’s just figured this out, it speaks loudly on behalf of political tone deafness. But if he’s playing his usual sad sack role, it eludes me how admitting belatedly that he realizes this could turn his numbers around. His pole numbers are on the move upward. He does give credit to the war “surge”, that he recommended, but how long will that last? The terrorists are just recouping, time for us to “blow this pop stand!”

Other planets in McCain’s cache to consider are his Mercury in Libra; the main situation is in October ’08 when Mercury in Libra goes retrograde. This Mercury reversal may reveal that he has disclosed something in his past that he never has before. A secrete if you will, probably a tryst, what else? On his 10th House are Pluto in Cancer and Mars in Leo. The Leo Solar Eclipse will soften his Mars (warring) mentality but not his war ego. And the Eclipse conjunct his Pluto in the 10th House will intensify his will power and may take the form of leadership in the Commander in Chief role extraordinaire!

Senator John McPain is in need of a surge to help him ease the rough running to relieve and comfort-swollen troop withdraw. His natal astrology is a prescription that shows, after November 4th, 2008, him “sit’n pretty” on a buttpillow resting on his laurels. Butt I don’t mean he’ll win the election per say, not the Presidential one anyway! Maybe the Hemorrhoid Electoral College President of the year sponsored by “Preparation-S, “ S for Surge. Interestingly enough, transiting MERCURY is in LIBRA, AUG. 29, 2008 – SEPT. 23. Then goes RETROGRADE in LIBRA, Sept. 24, 2008 – Oct. 15. John McCain has his natal Mercury in Libra. It will be great for him for the next 3 weeks. But after that, during the RETROGRADE, it will be hell for him. Then from Oct. 16 to just before Election Day, Mercury will go direct in Libra again and great for McCain once again. But Election Day, Mercury will be transiting in SCORPIO. Joe Biden has natal Mercury in Scorpio which will be great for him Sarah Palin is an Aquarius Sun and Mercury Aquarius.
