May We Never Forget 9/11

September 11, 2010

On this day of infamy, this 9th anniversary of 9/11 – I have been moved in particular by Fox News and their lengthy, yet worthwhile video montage of this incredible, horrific event. This embedded link isn’t exactly what I saw, but it includes most of the special broadcast video of events as they unfolded.

The special I watched gave not only live video, but background interviews with survivors, victim family members and members of the Bush administration. I often was moved to tears.

How quickly this country forgot the steadiness of our then President. We all looked to him and found the strength, dare I say, help to muster the will to go on. As Condi Rice put it, his calm, his incredible ability to focus was something she was in awe of. We all saw it. Heck, even Rosey O’Donnel made a public statement with regard to how President Bush rose to the situation and she admired his resolve and courage.

How quickly so many forgot and began not only to believe Democratic talking points that were out-right lies, but then went ahead and themselves repeated the lies. To this day, “We went to Iraq for oil.” “There were no WMD’s.” Is parroted throughout the liberal world, with Zombie, brainwashed-like exactness. I even had someone comment on one of my blogs that we all know we went to Iraq and Afghanistan for the oil. See what happens when we repeat gossip without verification? We sound stupid. Oil in Afghanistan? Yet I know the writer of that comment believed what he wrote absolutely and completely. How stupid this country was to believe the lies of the Democratic party. Lies that were perpetuated by a now corrupt (no longer mainstream) media. For what? Just so they could rise to power. And it worked. Sadly, the methodology worked.

Followers believed it so much the brainwashed put a lying regime – literally - in power in the White House. Now – unless something radical changes (and there are hopeful signs it will happen) in November and following in 2012, this country may not survive.

The “World Economic Forum on Global Competitiveness” gives an annual report. We usually wouldn’t pay attention to it because the U.S. was always #1 in the world. However, this year we sank to #4.

The prior year, after the first year of the Obama administration, we sank to #2.

We were #1 through the Bush administration. The same administration the current President likes to refer to as being the arbiter and cause of our economic woes.

Anyone with any sense, anyone who actually reads the Wall Street Journal knows this is absolutely not true. http://hubpages.com/hub/Joe-Biden-Are-You-On-Drugs

These lies extend to people who want to smear a majority of Americans as racists or intolerant hate mongers because we do not want a mosque built on the grounds of the 9/11 disaster.

What lies they tell to attempt to make their weak, insensitive wrong minded points.

The first lie was – the proposed mosque was not “on” the grounds of 9/11. Oh really? Giuliani says it just happens to be very close to the building he was trapped in on 9/11! And you know something? I believe him!

So this nonsense that this mosque is proposed away from anything to do with 9/11 is not only bunk – it’s a lie.

And lest one is prone to believe the lie that this is being built by altruistic Muslims who only wish for peace and harmony and because they want to build “ a cultural center” – listen to this interview with Donald Trump. Nothing was ever mentioned about a sacred Mosque or Islam or cultural centers in the spot. It was strictly a business deal that the buyer bragged about to Trump and I believe every word Trump is saying here in this telephonic interview.

So many lies – too many to write in this Hub here. I believe though that finally, America has woken up.

And I have hope. We Americans can rise from the ashes by God's mercy. Just as we did in the aftermath of the most devastating attack on U.S. soil since Pearl Harbor. We must never again forget 9/11. We must never again forget how we elected a President not fit to be Commander in Chief, ill prepared to become President and not just left of the center, but a radical. He is a radical with a radical agenda for this country and he’s destroying it.

Never forget 9/11. Never forget, while also being cognizant of the fact, this wasn’t done by all Muslims.

It was done, however, by hateful, evil minded fanatics who follow the Koran and believe in the tenants of the Koran that preach “Death to the Infidels.” I've read the Koran, there are many such references to infidels in particular with regard to Jews and Christians.

Do all Muslims believe this? Of course not. Are there millions of Muslims who would never dream of committing such an act? Yes, of course. In fact there are many of who live in my home state of Michigan and are ardent and passionate lovers of America.

Never forget November. Get registered. Vote them all out.

Then place your eyes on the prize of 2012 and remove this despot and replace him with someone who loves the U.S. A President who will not ever go around to heads of states in other countries apologizing for the U.S. and bowing to their leaders. A Commander in Chief who loves our soldiers and remembers 9/11 appropriately. Most importantly, a leader who follows and upholds our country's Judeo/Christian values and the Constitution of the United States.

Hi Carol. Like I had said earlier the liberals that call me an Islamophobe trat 9-11 like it was a car accident. And they call people like you and me sheep. How short sighted are they ? I believe in tolerance too, but you gotta draw a line somewhere !

I believe in tolerance, but I don't tolerate cowards who kill innocent people and I don't tolerate people who remain silent about the deed and I don't tolerate anyone who refuses to stand in support of the U.S. against anyone who seeks to harm us. These people deserve our contempt. Well done cj, well done. Voted awesome!

Beautiful! November can't come quickly enough, we need to take America back. We must not ever forget the horror we went through 9 years ago nor should we forget the strength we found in each other and, most certainly, in President Bush. Voted up and awesome!

I did my hub on that same theme because it seems too many people have lost that Tuesday Morning 911 feeling.

cjv, Comparing this to PEARL HARBOR was an excellent point. It is sad that people like those that committed this atrocity always hide behind children and the veils of their women.

Good jog, as always. I gave a thumbs up. H

Thanks Harvey. I said that about 9/11 being just like Pearl Harbor the day it happened. The country must have been in a state of shock then as we were that day. The one plane going into the building - I sat and grieved for those who were victims. Then when I watched live ANOTHER plane - it was one of the most horrific moments of my ilfe. I was not only sitting in the kitchen of my government quarters on one of the biggest and oldest military "think tank" installation (The U.S. Army War College) but my husband was in this very secretive building I was not allowed in (you have to have proper clearance). I feared for my own life, my husband's life and the life of my children. The terrorists succeeded - the struck terror into our hearts. But it was only temporary. I want us never to forget what happened.

I missed this one somehow. I had to chuckle about the oil in Afghanistan. The only real resource Afghanistan has is good caves to hide in hence the reason that the terrorists of the world flock there. If America does not wake up and make significant changes in November followed by even greater change in 2012, I feel our opportunity to right the ship will have passed and the socialist and communist and terrorist of the world will have won. We will become a society so economically downtrodden that we cannot get to our feet long enough to fight. We also will not have enough people who even understand why we need to fight as they have long since drank the Kool-Aid that is being freely dispensed by many elements of our media. The single element of our society that the founding fathers felt would keep the process honest has failed us...the media has long since drank the Kool-Aid themselves and now they are selling it. Thanks for a good write. WB

You are absolutely right Wayne, that is my deep, deep concern. We can change the course though - but as you said, it has to be very soon or it will definitely be too late. Thanks Wayne!
