Noynoy Aquino: A candidate for President
Benigno Simeon “Noynoy” Aquino III declared to the public that he will run for the position of the President of the Republic of the Philippines this coming 2010 elections under the banner of the Liberal Party. His running mate for the vice presidency is Senator Mar Roxas who waive already for President to support the candidacy of Noynoy Aquino.

Benigno Simeon “Noynoy” Aquino III is the only son of the former President Corazon “Cory” Aquino and former Senator Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr. He was born on February 8, 1960. He has four sisters namely Viel, Ballsy, Pinky and Kris.
Noynoy studied his elementary, high school and college education at the Ateneo de manila University. In 1981, he graduated his college education earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and right after he graduated he joined his family in exile in Boston.
Currently, he is a leading member of one of the political party in the Philippines, the Liberal Party. He is the current Vice Chairman of the Liberal part having assumed the position last March 17, 2006. Noynoy is connected to a group of the Liberal Party in which the aim is to oppose the Presidency of Gloria Macapagal Arroyo citing alleged human rights violation.
In 1998, he was selected as the representative of the 2nd district of Tarlac and was re-elected in 2001 and 2004 and was able to continue his service to the public in 2007. Noynoy served various committees as being a member of the Congress. These are the Public Order and Security, Transportation and Communications, Agriculture, Banks and Financial Intermediaries, Peoples Participation, etc.
In May 14, 2007 elections, Aquino was elected to the senate under the banner of the GO – Genuine Opposition, which comprises a number of parties including his own Liberal Party. Noynoy was supported by his younger sister Kris and Mother Cory and was endorsed in his political ads. A strong support was given by the largest Protestant churches in the Philippines, Jesus is the Lord. With all the support given, he garnered 14.3 million votes from the Filipinos and was declared as the 6th highest candidate against the 37 candidates for senator for the 12 vacant positions. And on June 30, 2007, he assumed his new office as one of the elected senator of the country.
In his personal life, he was once rumored to have relationships to Korina Sanchez, Bernadette Sembrano and to the actress Diana Zubiri. Unitl present he remains single but having an inspiration, Shalani Shan R. Soledad, a councilor from ValenzuelaCity.
