About all the GOP/Tea Party and their "%1" masters have to run on.

What's scarier is that enough people may buy into it to put a candidate from, of, by and for the "%1" in power and allow them to advance their vision of a corporate state

You have expressed some taboo words and harsh realities of the racist, bias and snobbish right wing, neoconservative...oh...I also forgot...the Christian right mindset. I don't know how long this will stay up and running, but you hit the nail squarely on the head with this article.

This may be of interest and may well even be ammo for the Plutocrats, but if we're going to discuss the truth here before this hub is censored, let me post this by the former NYT Journalist Chris Hedges:

"Obama is a corporate employee. He knows where power lies. And he serves this center of power. Read Sheldon Wolin's Democray Incorporated. Corporate forces, long before the Supreme Court’s decision in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission, carried out a coup d’état in slow motion. The coup is over. We lost. The Citizens United ruling was jusst one more judicial effort to streamline mechanisms for corporate control. It exposes the myth of a functioning democracy and the triumph of corporate power. But it does not significantly alter the political landscape. The corporate state is firmly cemented in place.

The fiction of democracy remains useful, not only for corporations, but for our bankrupt liberal class. If the fiction is seriously challenged, liberals will be forced to consider actual resistance, which will be neither pleasant nor easy. As long as a democratic facade exists, liberals can engage in an empty moral posturing that requires little sacrifice or commitment. They can be the self-appointed scolds of the Democratic Party, acting as if they are part of the debate and feel vindicated by their cries of protest.

Much of the outrage expressed about the court’s Citizen's United ruling is the outrage of those who prefer this choreographed charade. As long as the charade is played, they do not have to consider how to combat what the political philosopher Sheldon Wolin calls our system of “inverted totalitarianism.”

Inverted totalitarianism represents “the political coming of age of corporate power and the political demobilization of the citizenry,” Wolin writes in “Democracy Incorporated.” Inverted totalitarianism differs from classical forms of totalitarianism, which revolve around a demagogue or charismatic leader, and finds its expression in the anonymity of the corporate state. The corporate forces behind inverted totalitarianism do not, as classical totalitarian movements do, boast of replacing decaying structures with a new, revolutionary structure. They purport to honor electoral politics, freedom and the Constitution. But they so corrupt and manipulate the levers of power as to make democracy impossible.

Inverted totalitarianism is not conceptualized as an ideology or objectified in public policy. It is furthered by “power-holders and citizens who often seem unaware of the deeper consequences of their actions or inactions,” Wolin writes. But it is as dangerous as classical forms of totalitarianism. In a system of inverted totalitarianism, as this court ruling illustrates, it is not necessary to rewrite the Constitution, as fascist and communist regimes do. It is enough to exploit legitimate power by means of judicial and legislative interpretation. This exploitation ensures that huge corporate campaign contributions are protected speech under the First Amendment. It ensures that heavily financed and organized lobbying by large corporations is interpreted as an application of the people’s right to petition the government. The court again ratified the concept that corporations are persons, except in those cases where the “persons” agree to a “settlement.” Those within corporations who commit crimes can avoid going to prison by paying large sums of money to the government while, according to this twisted judicial reasoning, not “admitting any wrongdoing.” There is a word for this. It is called corruption."

I agree with Wolin to a great degree! And it's definitely corruption!

And something similar is taking place with these new voter suppression laws don't you agree?

Some of those allegations against Obama; at least all of them are just plain absurd. Where are the facts to back them up?

Until this time if someone would tell me racism exists I used to say no. The hard facts are just in my face., and it seemed to have gotten worse since president Obama took office. the racists have totally made themselves know. In 2012? Really sad. I mean from the day he started to run for office, the allegations came and no one had any credible facts to back up those claims.

What is wrong with us?!

thanks for your comments.

You say"I voted for him so you can hardly call me racist and I am now screaming most of those things!" Then this shoe is not for your foot.

It only for those who's foot it does fit.

I don't think any president has the power or authority to turn the country over to the U.N., ESPN, or any other N or any country or institution for that matter.

And why would he want to do that?

While Obama is clearly a far left ideologue, does that make him a socialist? The answer may not be so obvious, considering the parallels between the Socialist and Democratic Parties. Both parties profess to be champions of the working class and supporters of strong unions, both in the private sector and, contrary to the warnings of FDR, in the public sector. They tout themselves as advocates for gays, women and all minorities. They believe the wealthy should be taxed at significantly higher rates than the poor, and they rely on the government to create new jobs by rebuilding our infrastructure.

Fueling the debate is Obama's background, which is shrouded in secrecy. The facts, however, that are known suggest that he's something more than a far left liberal.

First are the widely-reported influences surrounding him in his early years, most notably, avowed Communist Frank Marshall Davis and anti-American, Marxist preacher Jeremiah Wright. Obama, himself, wrote in his memoirs that, as a college student, he was drawn to Marxist professors. It is inconceivable that the socialist dogma surrounding him throughout his youth had no influence on his ideology. Is it any wonder that the now defunct Socialist New Party endorsed Obama for the Illinois State Senate seat in 1996? In fact, in 2008, evidence surfaced establishing his membership in that organization.

Then there are his bizarre White House appointments, former and current czars like admitted Communist Van Jones, Chairman Mao fan, Anita Dunn, and many others.

The platform of the Socialist Party USA offers more insight.

The Socialist Party supports a steeply graduated income tax on the wealthy and limits on personal income. While the Democrats have traditionally touted themselves as champions of the poor, launching the War on Poverty in 1964, under Obama it has become a war on wealth. He is the first American President to openly call for wealth redistribution, withholding those hard-earned fruits of labor from the successful, and spreading it out among the less fortunate, and less ambitious.

The Socialist Party also calls for vast increases and expansion of welfare assistance. In 1996, Democrat Bill Clinton, working with Republicans who understood the dangers of government dependency, reduced the welfare rolls by signing the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act. Under Obama, welfare spending has skyrocketed.

One area in which the Democrats and Socialists diverge is military spending. While the Socialist Party demands the withdrawal of all U.S. troops from the Middle East and severe cuts to the U.S. military budget, the Democratic platform supports our success in Afghanistan and an increase in military personnel.

Many defense experts argue that Obama's military withdrawal from Afghanistan is premature, risking everything we've accomplished there. But more than that, to their dismay, earlier this year, he proposed huge defense cuts for the first time since 1998. His political exploitation of the Bin Laden killing seem to suggest that he views the military, not as defenders of our freedom, but merely as pawns to prop up his political career.

Finally, though he may not yet have taken over the nation's means of production, his administration has taken over the health care industry, and injected the federal government into the auto, banking, and energy industries. In the eyes of Greg Pason and the Socialist Party, Obama may not be ideal; but he'll do.

Socialists and Communists know exactly where Obama is coming from, and back him all the way. He has been endorsed by France's new Socialist President, and the Communist Party USA. Many other supporters see him as the well-intentioned Democrat he pretends to be, and might even question the importance of the whole issue: "Isn't it his performance as President that really matters?" But the issue is important to mainstream voters, who want to know where he intends to take the country. Also, as a lesson to future generations, it's important that history attributes Obama's failures not to inexperience and incompetence, but to his socialist ideologies.

I misread a linked web address that sited a so called "fact," and being a bit dyslexic, I thought it read "craker.com" when it actually read "cracked.com." So I implied the poster could be guilty of being one and posted a definition of the history of the word. The censor read it as being a slur.

Maybe you want to look into the fact Kissinger is priming him right now, and why or how could that be not even knowing he will be the next president? Or don't they? Many will find out I fear when it is too late just how scary this is.

How do you know Kissinger of all people is priming him?

Does any president have the authority to turn the country over to the U.N.?

Leroy 3 years ago

Kissinger has openly endorsed Romney and recently headlined a fundraiser for him. Since Henry Kissinger is possibly Satan, I see this as possible evidence of a Romney victory.

interesting!

you criticize Obama but

You're gonna support someone who working with someone you think is possibly the devil or Satan?

Rev Wright supports Obama. If you support Obama and believe he has the same views, I could question your support also.

Leroy 3 years ago

Kissinger could be the devil, but he and Romney don't have a close relationship. Rev Wright is an angry racist that Barack Obama followed for years.

vveasey profile image

Leroy

how did Rev Wright get in this picture? Rev Wright has nothing to do with this isssue or the question...this seems like a diversion. on your part

You said "Since Henry Kissinger is possibly Satan, I see this as possible evidence of a Romney victory."

The fact that you're willing to see this possible Satan's support for Romney as evidence of a Romney victory, trumps any support Rev Wright may have had in the past for the President..

And he's not "headlining" fundraisers for the President in the present.

Rev Wright is a non-factor in the election.

The devil/Satan is far more powerful and evil than a mere mortal like Rev Wright wouldn't you agree?

Jimmy 3 years ago

Leroy,

Obama is a double agent, he would be dead if he just went into office with blazing guns. Learning about the illuminati changed a lot of his promises because he had no idea of the total corruption of our government and all you people can do is whine. Who do you know that can do a better job under these conditions? Or do you want him to sacrifice his life for you as Kennedy did ? I am sure that would make you feel better about him. We let this happen and we have no one to blame but ourselves.

Donny2014 3 years ago

Jimmy

You're spot on! You should have mentioned however that the president had no idea that all or most of his policies he put forward would be blocked. He could do so much and no more.

Remember the famous statement, "Our main job will be to make Barack Obama a one-term president?"

Oh those of us who are worried that Obama will lose the election because of last night's debate, don't despair. Bear in mind that there are two more debates and the lies that Romney told last night will catch up to him; not to mention the fact that many people already made up their minds. Plus, the poor image that people got of Romney will keep him down. First impressions always last.

This might be a bad example but say you went to a job interview dressed in a sloppy manner. After that you could try wearing a suit but the employer will still have it in his head that you were sloppy because of the first impression you gave him. Why should he think now that you'll give a different impression? He still won't hire you.

Hate for Barack? Hate his policies and his socialistic views. Hate his arrogance and his "shovel ready jobs" that were "not quite shovel ready ..snicker, snicker". What's funny about jobs not happening? Hate his complete and total division of the races and the classes. Never before in the history of this country have I heard a president as divisive as this one. He wants to promote jealousy between the classes and the races. He, and only he, claims to be able to solve our problems while spending money that we do not have. Pays back his cronies with government money for Solyndra, Amonix, Solar Trust of America, Bright Source, LSP Energy, Abound Solar, SunPower, Beacon Power, Ecotality, Evergeen, et al. Let us not forget the TARP funding of chosen industries, but all other industries were demonized. He calls for toning down of rhetoric and then starts it all over again himself...He claims that it is all Bush's fault. Madeliene Albright says that they will "blame Bush Forever". No accountability for his actions whatsoever, just Blame Bush and continue to spend money as if owns the mint. That money belongs to the hardworking American people, not him. His whining and complaining have brought this country so far down, I have to wonder if WE CAN get up again after his failed policies....and in your ridiculous post, you claim it is racism. Give me a break. If this is called racism, them I am the BIGGEST RACIST OF ALL!
