Obama is a Puppet to Corporate America - Says One Thing, Does Another - Hypocrisy 101
Do as I Say ... Not as I do
Actions speak louder than words. You are probably familiar with this very old cliché. Obama talks the talk but does not walk the walk. Obama takes an action of support for the Banking Industry then later tells people how bad they are. It’s like a drug addict shooting up, then condemning drugs. The term is best known as Hypocrisy. It is fact the appointees of Team Obama pushed through all the Bailout Money… and continues to do so. So what’s with the criticism from Obama? Spin, spin, spin goes the Obama PR machine.
Big Headline: Obama Blasts Banks for Opposing Financial Overhaul
While applauding House passage Friday of overhaul legislation and urging quick Senate action, Obama expressed frustration with banks that were helped by a taxpayer bailout and now are "fighting tooth and nail with their lobbyists" against new government controls.
Statements like these are all a show for the benefit of Team Obama’s PR campaign. Clearly Obama is nothing more than a talker. Obama is a puppet to American Corporate Interests. Obama was the very person who supported rushing through payments to the banks! And where is the accountability? Here is a couple billion with no strings attached… use it wisely. What you didn’t use it wisely? Bad, bad you. Here is some more… what?
Obama appointees are in bed with the Bankers and Corporations. Obama appointees come from the very institutions that are being fed free government money. In the real world outside of Government this is called a “Conflict of Interest”. Obama handed the money out, now he is criticizing the very people he gave it to? It’s just a big political show to try and paint him in a positive light. Obama doesn’t care about you, but he’ll tell you anything he thinks you want to hear
The “Overhaul Legislation” did not get a single vote from a Republican lawmaker. This is just party politics. If a Republican were running the show whatever legislation was proposed would not get a single Democrat vote. AGAIN THIS IS JUST PARTY POLITICS… and party politics are not benefiting Americans. It’s disgusting.
Obama said the economy is only now beginning to recover from the "irresponsibility" of Wall Street institutions that "gambled on risky loans and complex financial products" in pursuit of short-term profits and big bonuses with little regard for long-term consequences.
Then why did you support it Mr. Obama? Why did you hand out Billions of Dollars to these very companies you supposedly think are irresponsible? It’s not like you didn’t know they were irresponsible… to even suggest that would be irresponsible
The president also told CBS' "60 Minutes" that "the people on Wall Street still don't get it. ... They're still puzzled why it is that people are mad at the banks. Well, let's see. You guys are drawing down $10, $20 million bonuses after America went through the worst economic year ... in decades and you guys caused the problem,"
Obama is a hypocrite. Clearly to make this kind of statement then to applaud the recent Bank of America scam that is going to allow Bank of America to shift from TARP funds to Government Loans so they can pay corporate bonuses is clear proof. Very interesting timing don’t you think? Hurry and make the switch with only 3 weeks left in the year. That’s some pretty convenient timing!
And again this past week more news of TARP recipients not getting cash bonuses, but no discussion of how they are manipulating the system to make sure they still get paid. Conveniently however 12 executives are exempt, but not named. But there is nothing being done to curb non cash corporate compensation.
Give the executives millions in stock then tell the people they are cutting their pay. What a joke. Sure there are restrictions on the stock. But in the end it doesn’t matter because the stock and options they are getting now are at such low prices when they do cash in a few years down the road the value of those stocks and options will be many multiples of the cash bonuses. And the Government will keep feeding these firms money until the public puts a stop to it or the economy takes the inevitable crash.
"We can't afford to let the same phony arguments and bad habits of Washington kill financial reform and leave American consumers and our economy vulnerable to another meltdown."
Exactly! This is why the Private Corporate Bankers that have complete autonomous control over the United States of Americas monetary system have got to go. Is there any talk from Obama about eliminating the Federal Reserve Central Bank? Sadly No. Just Government spin to dupe the people. Washington is acting in the interests of the Banks and Corporations not in the interest of the people. Clearly the agenda is to keep feeding the "System" the cash, and keep feeding Americans promises and lies.
Financial reform? Really that’s what is going on? Extending the TARP handouts is financial reform? Pathetic!!! Says one thing to the public then does another thing for the friends of TEAM OBAMA. There is not financial reform. Nothing has changed. More money has been printed. Banks are looking for new ways to stick it to customers. Nothing is being done about the Central Bank. It’s just more Obama talk.
Please feel free to point out to me all the “Change” Obama has actually implemented. Not the talk… but the bottom line change… the real world results. Show me what Obama has done for the benefit of Americans.
I am neither Republican nor Democrat. My
agenda is to vote for the candidates that actually work for the people not for
the interests of Corporate America. And
it’s pretty clear that Team Obama is no different that Team Bush… but I will
say that Obama is a much better orator. He was and is the perfect front-man to perpetuate the lies.
Actions Overshadow his Words
