Obama Health Reform Insurance

On 3/3/10 President Barak Obama presented his Health Reform Insurance plan with a group of doctors and nurses as a back ground for his presentation to the American people. All along

I always thought that it was called the Healthcare Reform Bill. Did the President slip up and expose the real intent of what he and the government plans are for the healthcare industry?Obama’s plan supposedly included portions of the Republican plan with minor revisions.

President Obama did not disclose major objections to the existing Healthcare legislation approved by the super majority Democrat Congress in Dec 2009. Some 60% of the people do not want the Healthcare Reform bill passed in its present form.

The US has the best health care system in the world. It’s not about health care, it's about controlling insurance cost and government control of healthcare. Last year some 33,000 Canadians came to the US for treatment. Due to Medicare cuts to providers, Mayo Clinic will not take any new Medicare patients.

The Republicans point out that to control healthcare cost, Congress needs to pass laws controlling the factions that create the rising cost of healthcare and that the existing plan should be abandant.

President Obama and the Democrats in Congress resist a new start even after the taxpayers have voiced their strong objections to the Healthcare Reform plan. President Obama and the Democrat leadership don't get it either.

Obama remarked that we need every one to pay for insurance (that increases the insured pool ) so that the cost comes down. Right on, there is a income -cost formula based on the size of the pool. With 9.7% unemployment, the paying pool goes down and insurance cost goes up. Resulting in higher premiums to paying customers, sometimes necessary for insurance companies to stay in business. In 2006 unemployment was 4.6%, last year of a Republican controlled Congress.

Obama repeated again ‘’if you like your plan ,you can keep it ’’and ‘’you and your doctor can decide what’s best ‘’. The CBO reported that the bill is deficit neutral although the estimate may need to be reviewed prior to a final vote.

What the President didn’t tell the people is that in the existing bill there are $250 billion in new taxes and $500 billion in Medicare cuts. The bill requires everyone to purchase insurance otherwise the government will impose a penalty. There are other sections in the bill that are objectionable to many Democrat and Republican members of Congress.

Upon departing the lecturn,President Obama said ‘’let’s get it done ‘’as if he was giving an order to congressional members. Reconciliation , a procedural action was discussed for a way to pass the present approved legislation by a simple majority of 51 votes in the Senate.

A poll taken of the 111th Congress reported an approval rating of Congress at 14% . Congress is considering such a move with the approval of President Obama. Our Constitution is under attack by political progressives in our government. The Constitution has checks and balances to prevent the majority to circumvent the minority.

For legislation of this kind , if allowed to proceed , requires 60 votes in the Senate. Each and everyone of our elected Democrat and Republican officials takes an oath to the Constitution and they have a responsibility to serving the people in the people’s best interest.

The 111th Congress must stop spending and wasting the people’s time and money The Government should have concentrated on jobs first instead of wasting 14 months on Healthcare Reform.

The $787 billion Stimulus Bill approved in Jan.2009 was to produce jobs and hold unemployment to under 8%. President Obama promised if elected, he would bring change and transparency to Washington. He promised jobs, promised to reduce the deficit, rid Washington of lobbyist ( he has 30 lobbyist in his administration ), close gitmo, end the war in Afghanistan, balance the budget and allow c-span to televise the healthcare meetings.

Sad to say he rates an ‘ f ‘ for honesty, experience, competence and integrity on all of the above. In stead of managing the Office of the President he continues to campaign weekly, costing the taxpayers huge expenditures in these troubled times. He and Congress berated the auto executives for their private jets, many of our Congressman are guilty of the same at the expense of the taxpayers

Here are some facts that you will not see on ABC,CBS,NBC, CNN and other News Medias. Since Obama took office the government has hired some 55,000 new employees including 7,000 in Feb of this year, while the private sector has lost 15 million and in Feb lost another 36,000.

The average federal worker makes $108,000 compared to $69,000 in the private sector. Another comparison is in fringe benefits paid out, the federal employee gets $40,000 and the private employee gets $9,000. Something is dramatically wrong in the marketplace.

The government is the largest employer and only 2% were unemployed compared to 19.7% in the private marketplace. Much of the recession blame is due to government spending and mismanagement of taxpayer money. Congress controls what has happened in our country and they should stop blaming others for their incompetence and corruption.

So wake up America, be heard and contact your congressman!

Jon needless to say we are in deep trouble. We do need healthcare reform but not what is being proposed here. I am not sure what kind of future is in store , but I see alot of civil unrest in the future if these type of policies keep up.

It's actually quite simple - the politicians see people paying money to insurance companies and they want that money. They'll worry about paying the bills later.

We definitely need to put every single American, INCLUDING our representatives on the same system as every single OTHER American. That's point one. We do, indeed, have the very best medical health care system in the world, and I think that's indisputable. You hit it spot on when you talk about people from other countries who come to the United States for major procedures—I can't think of too many stories that go the other way around.

Health care reform still needs to be done, I think. But we want to be very careful about how that's approached. I think that every American should at least have some access to medical care, especially in such a rich country as ours. I do think that denying someone health coverage due to an existing condition is ludicrous, and shouldn't happen. Especially when health care is so directly tied into employment and due to the fact that people don't stay in their jobs to retirement like they used to—suffice it to say that EVERYONE will eventually then have a pre-existing condition at some stage of their life.

Here is what needs to happen; we open competition between states for insurane companies. We look into reforming tort laws. We abolish Medicare AND Medicaid and we come up with a national insurance package which we can call a public option if we want to—

But here's the kicker. The public option should not be run only by the government. The entire system should be sort of a cosortium of government AND the insurance companies. I even think that the plans should be administered by the insurance companies—the consortium can set the parameters but the government should not have a large financial role to play.

Not exactly sure how that would all work...but it's a start. And it's a very complicated issue besides. Clearly the Obama health care proposal won't work, but I do think that there are enough issues with the current way of doing things that SOMETHING should be done eventually.

But first we need to scrap everything in the current proposal and start all over. That's for sure. Far too many people were left out of the loop on this one, INCLUDING the American people.

Wake up America to the fraud and corruption of our government. Majority leader Pelosi stated that she will be cleaning up Washington. Somehow I heard that same story back when the Dem's won over congress in 2006. if you can remember she promised open and transparent government.

Congress's record for the past 4 years rates an ' f '.

Health care isn't the whole problem.Government regulations is part of the problem and let's not forget the bad insurance companies.

Obama slipped when he opened his speech on Tues the 3rd. he said ''his health reform insurance plan '', stop and think about what he said.

Insurance premiums are rising creating an out cry against the insurance companies.

Obama said the plan will force everyone to pay for insurance.Forcing everyone to pay increases the income to the insurance companies (increases the pool of payers)which will reduce cost (lower premiums ).

The unemployment rate 9.7%,14 million people are not in the paying pool, that situation raises cost to the insurance companies which in turn must raise premiums in order to stay in business. The insurance companies profit is between 2 to 4% ,less what the government takes in taxes.

A simple equation and a fact to consider why premiums are skyrocketing.

The country needs insurance reform .Without the jobs that Obama promised the rates will go higher,we need jobs jobs, less spending of borrowed money and congress to listen.

The plan is for government control of another industry.

Single Payer Now!

Insurance companies are nothing more than funnels for cash. They take a cut off the top and nothing they do contributes to anyone's health. The health insurance protects my assets should I become so ill that my estate is jeopardized. Even then, the coverage becomes more expensive and is scaled back every year to cover less and less.

I already pay more in deductibles and premiums than I would in taxes for single payer or for a public option. I don't care who does the job. I just want bang for my hard-earned buck.

If the government offers me a cheaper option with better coverage, I'd be a fool not take it.

The existing proposed health care reform bill requires everyone to pay for healthcare insurance. If you do not buy the insurance, the government will tax (fine you )you for violating the mandate.

The legislation, if passed will commence immediately, meaning that you will start paying premiums (rate set by the government)

Although you will start paying on the insurance, you will not receive healthcare services until 2013.

Tell me of a business that takes your money for 3 years and don't give you the services you paid for until 3 years latter, that all sounds like a ponzi plan.

One must read the 2,007 pages before committing to the government's plan. Guananteed you will be paying more.

Hello Jon. I have done my best to tell everyone I meet and write everywhere I can about the Health Care Bill Obama is trying to force upon us. I also am urging everyone to contact their politician.

If this bill passes I only see higher premiums. When it becomes Law that people have to buy the insurance, their no longer is an incentive for the Insurance companies to lower costs. They will increase since their is no way to stop them. More paying customers, more opportunity for profits.

A BIG MESS IS ON THE WAY WITH THE STUDENT LOAN PROGRAM.Obama and the Democrats slipped into the Healthcare Reform Bill the Student Loan Bill. The government is now administering student loans.

One of my family has a student loan , she was called the other day by a government loan officer. She was asked some questions which were intrusive. The officer said that if she would not sign the new papers, the loan would be terminated.

The government thru the Healthcare Bill took over the student loan program, all loans will go thru the government.check it out.

The Healthcare Reform bill was signed into law on March 23,2010 by President Barak Obama.

Recently on March 23,2011 the Obama Healthcare Reform bill had it's 1 year anniversary. Twenty three states have filed lawsuits to have the bill repealed. The Obama administration has granted over 1000 waivers to the bill. Waivers have been granted to businesses, states and labor unions. President Barak Obama stated that the LABOR UNIONS would not be exempt from the law, apparently the President made another false statement when questioned about the content of the 2300 page bill prior to the passage of the legislation

The CBO has reviewed revised documents submitted by the Obama administration and have changed the projected deficit upward to $1 trillion.

On 3/23/11 the Obama healthcare legislation was one year old. Insurance premiums are

higher not lower as President Obama envisioned. The Obama Administration has

granted over 1000 waiver exemptions, many of which are union controlled. Just reminds

one of what ex speaker Pelosi said,'' we need to pass the bill so that we will

know what's in it''.Today she is still in Congress but she now is the minority leader.

President Obama is on the campaign trail telling everyone about the Ryan Budget Bill recently passed in the House. What he hasn't pointed out about Obamacare is that Medicare is being cut $500 million and that doctors will be paid less because Medicare is approving lesser amounts. The difference will be made up by Medicare recipiants in higher co- pays.

More of Obamacare is being revealed and it's not good for the taxpayers.

OBAMA ADMINISTRATION will stop granting waivers to obamacare in Sept. Over 2500 waivers have been granted to include states, unions and other businesses.

TODAY, JULY 2, 2011

Unemployment is 9.1%, there are 45,000 citizens collecting food stamps, the cost of gasoline and food has risen to historic levels and the National Debt under the Democrats control of Congress has increase $4.5 trillion and will exceed the $14.3 DEBT limit.

All that President Barak Obama and the Democrats are saying is that the Republicans are at fault. The facts of the matter is that what they ( DEMOCRATS ) propose does not work. Obama and the Democrats want to spend ( borrowed money ) and tax to change the economy around ( they have had 2.5 years ). The Republicans want to cut spending and lower taxes across the board for everyone.

It don’t take a fool to understand which plan is better?
