"Moses to Charton Heston: Here's Your New NRA Rules, Partner.

It seems that ever since Moses or was it Charton Hestonand his cold dead hands got involved cold dead finger fame) involvement with the NRA a few decades ago, the commandments (propaganda) that they, the Association have embraced, have convinced their members that they are infallible and righteeous and must use their guns and a lot of them to save the country from any evil the club can create.

The gun has become the symbol of righteousness, without which we would face certain extinction. Just ask LaPierre. His inner chamber of one note, high priced thinkers and ambulance chasing lawyers have become masters of manipulation and deceit that defies reason and common sense. To survive, grow and put more dollars into the gun lobby and gun manufacturers. They have developed a strong base of members who live by the NRA byline of God, Guns and the Country. Oh yeah, God wants more guns. If he had one, he probably would never have turned a cheek.

As we analyze the propaganda, we can’t help but (to use an appropriate expression) “shoot down” some of these pillars of the gun faith.

We citizens are becoming increasingly easy to agitate, easily edged on when we have weapon in our pocket or open carry one legally. How comfortable do you feel sitting next to an obnoxious person with a legal sidearm in his holster? Would you feel better if you had one strapped on? Testosterone does funny things to guys. We won't even get into spousal abuse issues involving firearms. Legal Gun carriers are almost 5 times more likely to threaten someone with a firearm than those who do not carry.

A gun toter is very often an aggressive type. He is more likely to flip someone the bird and … 77% more likely to aggressively follow and intimidate a driver who might have provoked him, even with a simple misunderstanding.

Guns at home invite a higher risk of a homicide, suicide or accidental death from gunshots. If you have guns at home, your kids will find them. Often there is at least one gun that is unlocked. Even if it is unloaded, kids can find and load bullets.

In the case of homeowners who use a gun to ward off an intruder, there is a good chance that the gun will be used aggressively even if matters were brought under control. and the authorities on on their way. Would you shoot a kid for wrapping toilet paper around a tree at Halloween?

The NRA tells us that Americans are more accepting of guns and are buying more .
The fact is that more guns are being sold, but they are being bought by a smaller percentage of the population. The average gun owner is a man . Men account for 80% of the ownership total. They own almost 8 guns each.

Our gun laws are sufficient say many gun guys They say we simply need better enforcement. That’s another standard line that proponents keep shoving down the misinformation pipeline.

Actually, if you can buy weapons legally at a gun show without background checks or other requirements, would you classify that as sufficient? Forty.percent ... that’s right 40% of legal gun sales are between private sellers where no checks are required. It gets better. where do 40% of prison inmates buy their guns? … from private sellers of course. Online gun sellers are also a great source. These are statistics drawn from Police reports and official surveys.

So people, don’t buy the whole NRA propaganda package. Use your noodle. Let common sense prevail. Guns are not the answer, they are the problem. Open your minds to it.

Guns don’t kill people, people kill people. Aaarrgghhh!, if I hear that tired phrase one more time, I may need a gun.

Here are some interesting clips (compliments of u-tube) that help describe the fanatical approach of some NRA types. They call themselves patriots. Excuse some of the language, especially on the clip from Yeager. Nugent is a riot as well.
